What is wrong with me?

Self-deprecation...I like that in a company. And being that you're Canadian seals the deal for me.

What was the OP topic again? :embarasse

UM...I got so excited the OPoster found his victory, I derailed the train.
Thats my story and I`m sticking to it!

All aboard the great Canadian Railway!

Jesus rode a donkey...without even having the comforting sound of jingling coins in his pocket...stop yer blattin!

Yes indeed. Very humbling example from the One who could have traveled in Heaven's Royal Business Class all the way!

Seeing as how you have no money and no donkey ...you could try fishing again

LOL

True enough. Who needs money, a donkey (or a watch) to fish, anyway? Fishing sans all accoutrements, an idea whose time has come!

um...I think you mean an idea whose time has passed....they don`t make fishermen like they used to any more ...they used to catch them with their bare hands...ahem!

Of course, truth be known, my grand-pappy used to regale me with stories of how, after he hand-caught his fish, to entertain the kids he would simultaneously juggle 2 or 3 of them (the fish!) in the middle of the stream, while playing the mouth organ and dancin' the jig!

Yep, those were the good ol' days............

Hand caught fishing sounds extremely difficult, lol. A homemade harpoon might be of some benefit!

It might philosopher...it might...if poor ole Jack up there had`nt tumbled so far from his grand-pappy`s tree! I`m pretty sure he would trip over the harpoon and wind up catching hisself!

Hey, what you harpoon at me for ?

(LOL @ hisself)

There is also a spirit of addiction (aka Bacchus) - another of satan's boys.

Looked that one up in the concordance.

G2358
θριαμβεύω
thriambeuō
three-am-byoo'-o
From a prolonged compound of the base of G2360 and a derivative of G680 (meaning a noisy iambus, sung in honor of Bacchus); to make an acclamatory procession, that is, (figuratively) to conquer or (by Hebraism) to give victory: - (cause) to triumph (over).

The compound words are very telling..

G2360
θροέω
throeō
thro-eh'-o
From θρέομαι threomai (to wail); to clamor, that is, (by implication) to frighten: - trouble.

G680
ἅπτομαι
haptomai
hap'-tom-ahee
Reflexive of G681; properly to attach oneself to, that is, to touch (in many implied relations): - touch.

G681
ἅπτω
haptō
hap'-to
A primary verb; properly to fasten to, that is, (specifically) to set on fire: - kindle, light.

This looks like an attachment disorder, or addiction. Behemoth is actually the top culprit for this type of thing.

Looking up the scriptures that G2358 are found in, this one seems to be right on.

2Co 2:13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
So, Paul had no rest because Titus was absent. He had somewhat of an attachment disorder. Seems he was being triumphed over by this, but in the next verse he gives thanks
to God that he was able to counter that by truimphing in Christ.

Now, lets take the compound words. First G2360. This one fits the situation.

2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
So, this verse becomes the prayer. Asking the Lord through Jesus Christ our savior to not be shaken in mind or to be troubled. But, instead to receive the
love of His truth, and be saved.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Next is the other word of the compound..G680

1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1Jn 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
1Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Which confirms the prayer for truth, and to be kept by Him that is the only begotten of God.

The last of the search is G681 which shows the action needed..

Luk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luk 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Luk 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

This implies the action of being busy with the Lord's work in order to counter the attachment disorder.
