WHAT ON EARTH WILL YOU DO (FOR HEAVENS SAKE)

God created us with a brain, with understanding, then if you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit then you have the understanding of the Holy Spirit as well.

And what does Jesus tell us to do. He tells us to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow what the Holy Spirit tells us to do
The Holy Spirit commanded me to Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I am required to be perfect, as God is, in heaven.
Brother, forgive me, everyone, if I err but, you seem to be looking for an engagement and when I walked off stage, out the bar door, and went to Worship and become part of The Church I left all of my history of killing people and fisticuffs behind. I pray I am wrong but you appear to, just, pick.

I would not call a healthy debate a fight. But I think that what we are trying to point out, is that God does call us to try to be holy. To focus on falling in love with God, to focus on having Jesus in the center of our hearts.

I know that God knows we are human and we have feelings. But God also tells us to pick up the cross and continue. Just as Jesus fell while he was carrying the cross, he wants us to also continue each time we fall to pick up the cross and continue walking until we have accomplished his goal in US

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Giving all diligence,
add to your faith virtue;
and to virtue knowledge;
and to knowledge temperance;
and to temperance patience;
and to patience godliness;
and to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Peter 1:5-7

Greetings in the Lord
Even when we have attained fell in love with God and Jesus is center of our heart and we walked in heavenly places daily; we still fall off our cloud, we're dumb like that. The crash at the bottom is horrible. The pieces scatter all around for all the world to see. Your countenance in Him is gone, your crown is gone; bleeding and broken and left for the dead wo/man that you are. And rising up out the ashes, you created, is a great struggle. God sees your struggles, and will let you struggle, for awhile. It's His timing, not ours. My words to you...
DON'T DO IT!!!!
There is nothing worth going back to the world for.
Your house is swept and garnished.
When, He is in you and you are in Him; there is no better place to be.
Be righteous, walk with Glory and He will glorify Himself in you, and you will be holy and perfect in Him, by Him, for Him.
It's always about Jesus. It always points to Jesus.
If it doesn't cast it down. It's the devil or your own vain imagination.
All praise glory and honor be unto God.
God first, always. Amen

I see that we are to seek to be perfect but if we can be perfect, as He is, why did and do we need a Saviour?
Because He is showing us the way, the truth, and the life to reach for righteousness, holiness and perfection.
Without the Savior, we wouldn't even know we could reach such heights.
With God, all things are possible.

Giving all diligence,
add to your faith virtue;
and to virtue knowledge;
and to knowledge temperance;
and to temperance patience;
and to patience godliness;
and to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Peter 1:5-7
Matthew 10:33
But whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

I guess I do not understand your question "Why? "

Can you elaborate. Explain

When I was showing examples of people who tried to be holy before God. Those were the ones that came to my mind.
Brother, they weren't trying; they were holy, righteous and perfect in Him, because HE is in me, I am in Him, we go unto the Father. They didn't go about in this world, but in Him, by Him, for Him.
Many carnal minded, fleshly, wo/man try to be; but the spirit that speaks, doesn't bare witness with the Spirit in me. The Holy Ghost/Spirit that's lives in a true, blood bought, Holy Ghost taught, born again believer.
Most of them preachers, our preaching, handed down preaches of men; hence, trying to build on another wo/man's foundation and by now it's so water down and stagnated it is not fit to drink.
Them, born of the Holy Ghost, are refreshed daily. I speak forth what He gives me and He gives me more. Yep, my cup runneth over. Yep it steps on our toes, but we can't deny it, for the spirit bears witness with the Spirit. For we our of one mind, one body and one Spirit.
It is not I that lives, but He that lives in me.
Praise God, praise God.
God first always.

Sir, for a debate there must be a single winner... regardless of circumstance and with lost people this has been, through me, a useful tool. On the other hand, two Christians should engage in vigorous discussion and have not much use for debate and both learn and thus both win.

Bro Bear, where is the padded room? I just want to bang my head on the wall. LOL
