Why did I become a Christian? and witness of holy spirit

I can't go to church either & I live in USA.

Jesus Christ is my refuge, my Good Shepherd, and my Friend to help walk me through this valley of death to fear no evil. I hope in Him that He will lift up your head above the storms of your life to have His peace too.
I fear no evil too, but I do fear the temptation of evil. I've been struggling with the temptation of backsliding, the temptation of going back to my old addictions just for a moment of dopamine rush and then immediately empty again. It wasn't some hardcore substance abuse, just a few softcore behavioral ones, but what's the difference? The chemical reactions in the brain are the same.

You know, 40 years in the wilderness in Exodus was a prophetic picture of every follower's spiritual journey, and back then in the wilderness, the Israelites were backsliding, they were missing Egypt even though they were in slavery. Peter was backsliding by denying Yeshua three times and going back to fish with other disciples, that was their old life before he became a disciple of Yeshua. So it naturally happens to every true follower of Yeshua, and "not by mighty, nor by power, but by the spirit" can I resist it and find true satisfaction in Yeshua.

'But this man (Christ), because He continueth ever,
hath an unchangeable priesthood.
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by Him,
seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.'
(Hebrews 7:24-25)

'The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD:
and He delighteth in his way.
Though He fall, He shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth Him with His hand.'
(Psa 37:23)
