Before I gave myself to god in 2012 I was a terrible person I used a lady I was with for unmarried sex she didn’t know I was also visiting brothels and drinking and smoking I have stopped all this years ago but I think I may go to hell please some guidance would help

JESUS came and died for "Sinners" GOD's Spirit is stirring up the sediments that is in your soul, And bringing them into clear light, repent to him and tell him how sorry you are and ask him to forgive you and clean you up in the name of JESUS! It is a heart cry more than just words, For this you see now. It is a cry from the soul and heart ask him even in tears. Until He cleans you up! And NO ONE WILL HAVE to TELL YOU, ,,,That GOD HAS CLEAN YOU! UP! You will know it for yourself. AND THEN You will have "THE TRUE FAITH" to carry you on, unto "ETERNAL LIFE"! [Instead of "VAIN FAITH"]

You do the pleading
LET GOD DO THE SAVING! Through JESUS CHRIST! and pick that BIBLE UP AND START reading from "MATTHEW" and read straight threw until you get to the end of REVELATION, like you LIFE depends on IT! And get you a dictionary! As if it is the LAST BATTLE of your LIFE! And All the HOST OF HELL is on your TRAIL!......... It is a race to THE Finish LINE! .....Get BUSY, because tomorrow might be too late! "GIDDYUP"! OH yes the demons will be tracking and HOUNDING YOU and HOT on YOUR TRAIL! Keep going and don't look back!......FOR all The HOST of HEAVEN will be CHEERING YOU ON! Prove to GOD YOU are REAL about YOUR REPENTANCE and FINISH THE COURSE That is SET before YOU! :pensive: PUT ALL THE WORDS OF THAT BIBLE INTO YOUR SOUL. KJV OR NIV Earlier copy right pre 1983 if possible. Study Bible.

This is the testimony of most Christians:
Before life in Christ Jesus many sins and much wrongdoing;
Then believing the gospel and becoming repentant;
Water baptism by full immersion to bury the old person and to be forgiven past sins;
Life afterwards - walking in the light desiring to be right with God and forsaking the lusts of the flesh.

Hopefully you are aware of Pentecostal churches where you can also be baptized in the Holy Spirit and pray in tongues
praying in the Spirit is of great power and the Spirit of God will help you to overcome sinful desires that conflict with the right way of living for God.

'Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,
but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.'
(Rom 6:11)

Hello @Disneyfan2021,

If you have confessed your sins to God, sought His forgiveness and turned away from your former manner of life: placing your trust in the sacrificial work of Christ on your behalf: Who took your sin upon Himself and bore it's penalty by dying in your place; then you have no need to fear, for God has forgiven you for all your sins, and placed you 'in Christ Jesus' His Son. In Whom you have the hope of resurrection life. You will not come into condemnation but have passed from death into life: and now walk in newness of life before the Father.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Depends completely on what your "Gave myself to God" actually means. Unless it means that you were Convicted of your SIN, and of Judgement by the Holy Spirit, and then surrendered to God, Repented of your SIN, and were BORN AGAIN of the Holy Spirit by FAITH gifted to you by God, then hell will be your destination. Personal reformation doesn't really mean much of anything in a spiritual sense. It's a Spiritual Re-Birth that makes all the difference, and CLEANSES you from all SIN.

I had a spiritual rebirth I prey for forgiveness have been baptised and now read god’s word everyday and practice spirutal ways

Are you reading the Book or just what you feel like reading in the Book as the days go on? Picking sentences like one pick lottery numbers hoping to hit the jackpot? I am not joking! Many read Sentences like picking lottery numbers, some play the same numbers every day or every week :pensive: My favorite number. I knew one christian played the number "128" Which was his favorite. "Luke. 1:28". Is a example. Got mad with me, when i question their actions. Wanted to fight. I have met many of christians who use bible verse numbers to play lottery. And when they win, 1st they do is give the pastor and the church 10 %. They are faithful. And stand and give a testimony how they won and no one says anything when they hand out those 100 Bills

Yes I am reading the book strange about that guy picking sentences was he a true Christian or just pick and choose what he wanted to do

Oh sorry I didn’t read your msg right I am currently reading Corinthians
So you are not reading the Bible as a Book, but hoping over to this letter and another "Epistle" you are over here over there, just skiping as you please, The Bible is like a puzzle, untill you put it together you can see the picture as a whole once you but it together like it should be put together. A lot of Christians promote and up lift and exalt church the creation more than they exalt the creator "The WORD of GOD" He is. A GOD Of Order. Start from The Begining "Genesis" and read the book. It cannot hurt you! A Church can! :pensive:

I would offer. We must be careful how we hear or say we hear what the Spirit says to the churches (us). Yoked with Christ we have the power of God's love working with us but is never of us "powerless ones" . No one has received the incorruptible bodies . Hebrews 11:39

Tongues is prophecy (understandable words) It as a teaching tool has its foundation in Isaiah 28. A warning against un belief (no faith) as it is written. The Bible alone) The same law revisited in 1 Corinthians 14 . In which the Spirit says. . . yet they still will not believe the tongues of God's prophecy but will fall backwards mocking the spirit of judgement.

God's Tongue or living word defines the parables within, teaching us how to walk by faith .A life time work that he begins in us and as our new born again confidence it promises he will finish it till the last day.(Philippians 1:6)

Living water like blood throughout the Bible speaks of the work of the unseen Holy Spirit coming down from heaven like rain or dew .(Deuteronomy 4:2) You could say the water of the word by which we are cleansed, our daily bread . As husbands the same water of the word we are to cleanse or baptize our wives with . If both are yoked with Christ their burden will be lighter if not we can suffer the pangs of great tribulation the loss of the peace of God. .

It is used in ceremonial laws as shadows of the good thing to come .Many worship shadows as those who fall back slain in the spirit .Mocking the spirit of judgment . Using the tribe of Dan to show the judgment of those who do fall backward because of false doctrine coming from false apostles the brood of vipers

Genesis 49:15-17King James Version .Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Falling backward or going back is an indication of death or breaking the neck would includes hanging. .The Bible has many examples of that use that speaks of the un-converted mankind

Both the tribe of Dan (the Spirit of Judgment ) among the 12 tribes used to represent the old testament saints along with the false apostle Judas who was numbered with the 12 .Apostles the remnant 12 are used to represent the new testament saints. Both the tribe of Dan and the false apostle Judas are shown as not entering the new heavens and earth by the description of the bride .

Judas it appears was moved to demonstrate to us even today the "spirit of judgment" . . .those who add oral traditions of men with the tradition of God, His book of the law. The parable below revealing the power of the gospel, ( I am he) the power to cause men to go backward slain in the spirit of judgement as well as the power to raise those dead in their trespass and sin . The power of the Tongue of God life or death . We today can rejoice.

John 18: 4-9 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

In the above. . of them which the father gave Jesus said have I lost none. I believe it is saying ; Judas was of the Mathew 7 . the many that Christ knew not they were not called , they looked for self edification to spend on the flesh Jesus called them workers of iniquity .

It is the un believers that have no new faith as it is written in the law and prophets (sola scriptura ) or the word of God in its entirety.. they add to the word and not rightly divide and in doing so create self edifying wonderments .I did it it proves it . They are the ones that look to sign, seeking so that they can have wonderments before they will believe . Jesu said to Nicodenmus in John 3 a Pharisee one who did seek after lying wonders .Jesus said; Marvel not even at the greatest possible miracle born again . Wondering is wondering . Believing is hearing and moving .

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Above Christ declares the truth and below the witness of God .
John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Making God into a circus seal. . . . cause us to wonder then we will believe.

Hello @Disneyfan2021, :)

Don't be discouraged. Ploughboy means you no harm. Was your initial question, 'Will I go to Hell', dealt with to your satisfaction?

Within the love of Christ,
our risen and glorified
Saviour, Lord, and Head.

Jesus blood has already covered your sins if you have accepted that @Disneyfan2021. You do not have to worry about going to Hell. It sounds like you have beat yourself up enough for it. If we didn't need a Saviour, Jesus wouldn't have had to die. We have all made mistakes and all have a past. Our God is one of many chances. He told the woman who was an adultress this:

John 8:10-11

"Then Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?”

"No one, Lord,” she answered.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Now go and sin no more.”

What exactly was the penalty that the Messiah bore that would otherwise have to be borne by us?

The wrath of God.
John 3:36; Rom 1:18; Rom 5:9; Eph 5:6; Col 3:6; 1Thes 1:10;

Isa 53:4; Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5; But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him
,
And by His scourging we are healed.
Isa 53:6; All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
Isa 53:7; He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
Isa 53:8; By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living
For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?

Isa 53:9; His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
Isa 53:10; But the Lord was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief;
If He would render Himself as a guilt offering,
He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days,
And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
Isa 53:11; As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.

Do the wrath of God still remain on the Messiah? Or was it only for 3 days and 3 nights?

Consider this. Jesus never sinned. He faced God's wrath for 3 days.
How many times have you sinned? If the penalty every sin, was say 3 days, how many days would you be in the wrath of God?

The wages of sin is death, ... but Jesus never committed any of these wages. He died wrongfully, Death made a mistake, it killed an innocent man.
Jesus stayed "dead" long enough for the world and death itself to know He was dead. There was no denying it.
It isn't a 1 to 1 penalty for Jesus. He never sinned, He shouldn't have had to pay any penalty at all.

Now what if the real penalty of 1 sin is eternity. How many eternities would you have to spend in hell?
Death could look at you and say, he sinned .. hmm.. lets say 10,000 times. That means you spend 10,000 eternities in hell.

Death looks at Jesus and has to say, He never sinned. Ooops I killed Him anyway.
Death broke the rules, death has no power over Jesus, or those covered by His blood.
(yes Christians still die physical deaths) but it's where they spend eternity that changes.

All because the wrath of God fell upon Jesus for you.
