What is the evidence for the God of the Jews anyway, I've never seen the particular biblical accounts being played out in this universe.

I've also never seen alien's, but many people believe in them regardless of lack of real evidence, I see the same mentality in the church today. Believe now and ask questions later, say you know that your God is true but continue to believe in him.

Those two position's are opposite to each other, since what you know is a factual matter. But when you believe in something, you can't say you know.

You mean like Israel becoming a nation in the 1940's? Which is in the Bible.
Like the world becoming a single nation government, like many liberals and anti-nationalists are trying to do today? Which is in the Bible.
Like the world becoming more evil in these last days? Which is in the Bible.
There a dozens more examples I could give.

Every day I read the news I'm more convinced the Bible is true.

I can't see the wind, but I know it's real. Sometimes I can feel it, but sometimes I can't.
I've never seen God, but I've certainly seen him at work. I've seen unexplained miracles, healings, and even hearts and lives changed.

One of the two things God really wants from us is to love one another... why is that so hard? Why do people try so hard to avoid doing this?
The other thing He wants from is to believe in Him/Jesus. Why is that so hard? But I can tell you from many years of experience,
it's much easier to do the first thing (loving other people) when God is with you. These are the ways you know He is real.

I think many of the people who say they don't believe in God/Jesus are afraid to, because they are afraid it will change them.

That could be us imitating art.

Jesus 2000 years ago, on the other side of the planet, in another language, told a handful of followers his gospel would be preached to all the nations on the earth, and 2000 years later we have missionaries risking there lifes to spread the gospel all over the world. To me that is so incredible and only God could of made that prediction Praise Jesus !!

Yes then of course I have my own life to see the very miracles of what has happens when a person becomes born again, just like it is said in the bible. When you accept the real truth it all becomes so clear.

Brother ask him into you life today, and be secure in your eternal salvation.

What is the evidence for the God of the Jews

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Every thing that exists in the physical world is only a shadow of the eternal that is invisible to the physical man. God created the world this way so that man would have no excuse not to believe!!!

It seems that a "TalkJesus" forum wouldn't be a great place for someone who doesn't want to talk about Jesus.
Who knows maybe you'll learn something new, and become better Christian sales people.

Ok that was a cheap shot, my bad.

What is the evidence for the God of the Jews anyway, I've never seen the particular biblical accounts being played out in this universe.

The real evidence of what we read in scripture is to be found in the heart of the believer. An unbeliever becomes a believer by moving toward a little glimmer of light that God has provided to each man. That light will never become a great Light unless that person steps out not by what men might call empirical evidence, but by faith.

I've also never seen alien's, but many people believe in them regardless of lack of real evidence, I see the same mentality in the church today. Believe now and ask questions later, say you know that your God is true but continue to believe in him.

From a start by faith knowledge is also obtained, but the knowledge so obtained cannot be transferred from the believer to an unbeliever simply to satisfy curiosity.

Those two position's are opposite to each other, since what you know is a factual matter. But when you believe in something, you can't say you know.

Stated in that way for the unbeliever nothing is really known. He believes what he hears from men and he believes what his natural senses tell him, but he is really unable to prove that the natural senses are an indication of reality. The ball is in his court, because I believing what I believe and knowing what I know am not lacking anything that I need. It is not my job to win God's case. In my heart it is won. Anyone who is serious about stepping out in faith will be helped if he asks of God in the right way. Otherwise, he is dead and will remain so.

And if you did that but nothing transpired, do you get the right to say you've tried your best.

Have you? God knows. I only know my own position insofar as God has shown it to me. Unless God also showed me about you, how much could I really know?

When a person wants to argue against God he can do it. That doesn't change the truth. The apostle James wrote about not asking or asking amiss, while Jesus said that his sheep know his voice. In those and in other scriptures likely are all of the answers you need, but apparently you were wanting something that was not really needed.

A working brain will only lead to grasping there is 'a god'. Isaac Newton ''in the absence of any other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God's existence''.

God is only real to His people. He reveals Himself to us who are after His heart as explained to you in the thread ''pathetic people''. Even Peter who walked on water needed a revelation of Jesus Matt 16:16-17. When we call Jesus the Son of God or the Son of man, we are in fact calling Him God Isaiah 9:6.

So, we can say we ''know''. 1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

All we can offer those who don't know Him as we do, is prayer and advice on how to find Him. Approach Him on His terms Rom 12:9 and Psalm 51:17. I am sure you will agree that it is kind of insanely hilarious for a teeny tiny creation to dictate terms and conditions to God of the universe?

I am a regular on atheist forums and I will say it is hard getting over the '''nobody, not even God cares whether or not you believe He exists''....discussion. It seems that is all they want to talk about.

I pray for the day many move on to the more pressing issues. Like.... do you accept or reject the teachings of Jesus??????? Do you approve of turning the left cheek? Do you approve of getting on your knees and working out your salvation in fear and trembling???? Phil 2:12, 1 Cor 11:31.

Hey! I believe in the creator, just not yours.

So, what creator do you believe in?

Another question or two. :-)

What is your opinion of the Bible and how archaeology has confirmed much of the data recorded in the OT? While the NT is easier to affirm, due to its writings being corroborated by authors in and out of Christendom during the lifetime of the recorded text. Historically speaking, 2,000 years is really a drop in the bucket because it doesn't really require much archaeological confirmation, but rather scholastic study of existing documents, since this form of record keeping/writings were prevalent for the age being discussed.

That being said. Have you taken any of this into consideration and if you have. In face of such data, what would you say the Bible to be, both Historically and Theologically?

I don't think much of the current archeological evidence, as such evidence has proven that certain events in the bible didn't take place.

Your replies are troll like.
Ok, what did Jesus actually do for us? say a bunch of words, make a bunch of promises, then leave us holding the bag for 2000 years. Oh right, he'll be coming back any day soon.
