Yes it is a sin to abort your children. One needs not any words written in a book to know
that this is not natural and is perversion among the most perverted. But after saying all that,

The point that using scripture on one side of an argument but ignoring it on the other side of the arguement renders the justification of the use of scripture as void.

The fact that most women who seek an abortion are in poverty was given in a graph by H earlier. The fact that overwhelmingly that women give economic security the reason why they are having an abortion is a fact you can easily google.

That your faith is dead if is does not result in works is established by Jesus.

The above statement you made has nothing to do with

There is a practical question that everybody who believes abortion is wrong should be asking: what are the best ways to reduce the abortion rate?

Legal restrictions may have a part in this, but the data shows that it doesn't have a huge effect.

Much more significant is the prospects of the family. Women who consider that they cannot afford a child are far more likely to opt for an abortion. Improving the life chances of every child by tackling poverty would have a knock-on effect of reducing abortions dramatically.

In first century Greek and Roman culture, it was common practice for unwanted babies (most often girls) to be exposed. They would be abandoned and left to die, taken by wild animals or picked up to be slaves.
