@Bill
Greetings Bill,
I think you'll find that that idea is a modern invention, as in, several centuries after Christ.
It is a fable that has been around and a lot of people have decided it fits well with their comfort believing of what that passage is talking about.
What most miss, while splitting hairs (there you have an example of the frivolity and word play), is that the whole 'message' in that passage is more about not being able to make deals with God to get into His Kingdom, like the rich dude was trying on with Jesus , and then perhaps even more important is the words exchanged between Jesus and His Disciples about it.
Perhaps have a fresh read of the accounts of it in the Gospels and see the bigger picture?
But again, the idea of the little 'eye' gate is not something from the Bible.
Likewise, most of us modern folk who have seen lots of camel pictures in Bible stories and know so much because we are so privileged to be able to know so much, (cough cough) don't even stop to think what camels represented back then. Perhaps we should think about such things some more.?
Hint... you drive big rigs.... probably not delivering a pizza or a letter... probably running goods for large firms. there is your hint to the story.
Bless you ....><>
and please let us remember to not devour one another.
If i can use my earth mover and move mountains, but run over native locals while doing so, it profits me nothing.
