True enough. ..and yet, in the 2000 years since this was written no one has calculated anyone's name to be 666. Certainly not anyone from the first century.

the bible tells us to look for the signs and tells us what to look for, the signs are everwhear, the bible tells us certain things have to happen in order for Jesus to Return most not all things have happened.

What makes that theory more valid than any other? There is no mention in history of everyone having to take his mark. There is no mention in history of no one being able to buy
or sell because of a mark at that time. There is no mention of him doing miracles and signs to deceive Christians at that time. If we add everything else the imprisonment of Satan,
the millennial reign of Christ, the defeat of Satan, Christ ruling with a rod of iron, defeating all false religions, and even death, and handing the kingdom back to the Father... there's
simply too much that never happened. Much worse things have happened in the world, even to Christians and Jews than happened in the first century.

Nero Caesar transliterated into Hebrew adds up to 666. The Roman imperial cult demanded worship of Caesar. Jews were exempt from this, but as Christians began to be identified as a separate movement rather than a Jewish sect, they were in a difficult position.
I'm not at all sure that this his is what Revelation 13 is referring to. But its at least plausible. The main features are the accumulation of absolte power and the worship of the whole world.

It's a question, not a joke, but I'll tell you what I find funny, since you brought it up... making people feel stupid for asking questions lol I thought this was a safe place to come with thoughts and ideas. I'm not interested in being judged or made to feel dumb. I get that already in my daily lol Thank you for those who did put in their 2 cents, respectfully. See you all on the flip side.

It's definitely not the mark of the beast.
The coronavirus vaccine is absolutely related to the agenda to socially condition all of us into submission and acceptance of a new world order and a global government. All of our health is to be managed and regulated by government authority. I don't think the vaccine itself is inherently harmful necessarily, but it's definitely a power move by worldly authorities to make sure that every "gets on the same page" and cooperates with allowing the government to make decisions about their health.
However, it's not the mark of the beast. Scripture tells us that the mark of the beast will be "666" placed on the hand or forehead and will be required to buy and sell goods - REVELATION 13: 15- 18
This will likely come later down the line once the new world order is established and there is now a global economy in place. The mark of the beast will be related to some sort of shift in the global economic structure and currencies. While it's true that the coronavirus pandemic involves those things, it is ultimately being engaged as more of a "health crisis" ... with economic repercussions.
Also the mark of the beast cannot be taken "accidentally"
The mark of the beast will be administered with full transparency about exactly what it is. The antichrist will be in a place of unquestionable power and authority in the world (this is not yet the case).
Also receiving the mark of the beast will require blatant denouncing of the Christian faith as well as faith in Jesus Christ. In order to receive it you will have to formally denounce having any belief in God and declaring that you relinquish all authority to the worldly powers of government, economy, money, etc.
Satan is often deceptive... the mark of the beast will not be one of those times. IT WILL BE OBVIOUS and it will be HONEST about what it is.
It will be IMPOSSIBLE to receive the mark of the beast without knowing that that is exactly what you're doing. No one will be "tricked" into receiving it, you would have to choose to receive it of your own free will knowing exactly what it is.

Why are people so fearful? Some seem to enjoy spreading fear, why? They see anti-Christs under their bed. The Bible quite clearly tells believers not to worry, definitely don't worry about the tribulation; you won't be here.
There are antivax conspiracy theorists outside the church claiming that there's a microchip in every dose, enabling the State to track your every movement. Where did that come from? How did they find that out? And anyway if that's a problem why do they carry a smartphone that enables Google, Apple, GCHQ and the Pentagon to track our every movement?
Just to reassure our brothers and sisters around the world, in the UK the vaccine rollout starts over here next week. A priority list has been drawn up, front of the queue is NHS and care home workers, then the 80+. Beast worshippers will have to wait their turn with the rest of us.
Seriously, IMO we in this forum need to refocus on God, the worship of Him and the care of each other; stop worrying and getting hung up about what ifs. So when my turn comes for the jab I'll gladly go and do my bit to eradicate this dreadful virus that's prematurely ended and blighted so many lives. The vaccine is the product of a higher intellect that God blessed man with far more than any of the other animals that He created. But if the nurse asks me if I've worshiped the Beast, my answer will be, absolutely not!

a couple things come to mind is why
1. the entire planet for the first time in history is going to be required at some point to receive this. I know at first it will be voluntary, just like at first the mask were voluntary but became law.
2. if we can not function in the world with out proof of the vaccacine would be a very good reason to have concern . maybe the vaccine is not the mark of the beast I dont know, but there may be mandatory proof that you have taken it.
who knows the world is changing its not going back to what we new, and we must focus on Jesus like never before and be prepared to give up everything for the Name of Jesus IMO

Too many verses say Christians will be here for the tribulation, and none that say we won't.
From my perspective, people staying home wearing masks are the ones in fear.

Hi BAC, I love all these verses that you've quoted, they warn against complacency and compromise, something I'm prone to. They tell us to ensure that when Jesus comes to take us to be with Him, that we make sure that we're good and ready. Just when we think, 'awww don't worry, it'll be years before Jesus comes:' WOOSH! It'll happen. If we believe that the rapture follows the tribulation then we don't need to prepare for the rapture until the great tribulation begins. Not so, we need to prepare now, Jesus could come back before I even press Post reply.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. My faith is in Jesus. I wear a mask in public. When the vaccine is available, I'll get the injection.
I know many people, a lot of them more vulnerable and on their own, who spent a great deal of time on these things, checking video after video on YouTube and then getting into a state of great fear and confusion. It can be very destructive, and does damage that takes a huge amount of pastoral time to undo.
Sadly, click-hungry content providers on the internet and elsewhere know that instilling fear is a reliable way of getting and keep people's attention.

Typical side effects are a mild fever and fatigue for a short time. I'll manage.
And primarily I'll be taking the vaccine for the benefit of others, not myself. I don't want to contact the virus and put others more vulnerable than me at risk by passing on the infection.
