NO, men teach the boys and women teach the girls.
Wow how restricted is that. What about a women out and about in the word shopping or over at a neighbors house does she have wait until there is a man there before proclaiming the Gospel?

Church procedures, Curtis, surly you can understand this. Paul was very serious about the Church order and procedures.

It falls in line with "let all things be done decently and in order," as Paul said.

I believe God is just fine with a woman having authority/position over a man in the secular workplace, but not in the Church.

The Church is to be separate from the world, a place where things are done according to God's will not man's will.

It's a place of proper order among mankind showing respect to the Almighty God.

It's not a place where you show up in shorts and a t-shirt. It's where you go to honor your God in humility and respect.

What about this scripture?

Jas 2:1 My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?
Jas 2:2 For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes.
Jas 2:3 If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”—well,
Jas 2:4 doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?

Another translation (Williams) says it like this.....

1Ti 2:11 A married woman must learn in quiet and in perfect submission.
1Ti 2:12 I do not permit a married woman to practice teaching or domineering over a husband; she must keep quiet.
"Another translation..." there lies the problem.
KJV:
1 Timoth 2 11-12 "Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence."

There are roles even when a man and woman isn't married.
Satan's main tactic is to get people to question God which he did with Eve and her (woman's) punishment is Just.
These new "translations" have more added words and errors and should be disregarded as good teaching.

I think you have misunderstood what James has said!

It's not about the clothing of the rich vs the poor.

It's about the favor shown to the rich who wear the good clothing.

The rich and the poor, well dressed and poorly dressed are to sit side by side.

All are equal and deserve the same respect in the house of God.

1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

The head of every woman is her husband. I am responsible for my family as its head, God will hold me accountible as was Adam for his wife Eve. But, I am not the head of all other women. I have learned a lot spiritual things from women teachers in my life in the last almost 50 years. A dominating wife over her husband is not in line with God’s ,s plan for a married couple. This does not mean a husband can not learn from his wife especially if her husband is a unbeliever. The wife is suppose to submit to her husband, but it is also true that the whole Church is suppose to submit to one another.

There many women prophets in scripture and they can and often do prophecy in a Church setting to both men, and women.

Paul told Timothy he was reminded that his Grandmother and mother first had the faith and now that same faith was in him.
Timothy was taught the Holy scriptures from both his Grandmother, mother.

All of that is true! Paul is speaking of the formal setting in the Church.

No women teachers in authority over a man in the Church office appointments.

It's very simple. Some will twist it but it's plain to see what he meant.

I'm not trying to beat this to death, only pointing out that at the end of 1 Tim. 2, Paul gives the command that women are not to have authority over a man.

Then beginning in the 3rd chapter he gives the qualification of the pastor and deacons.

The women have been excluded from these qualifications in the previous chapter.

b. Reject God and scripture and suffer the consequences.

I have a couple versions of the orginal Greek, both the Byzantine and the Alexandrian, none of them have the Greek word for "married" in this verse.

G1060
γαμέω
gameō
gam-eh'-o
From G1062; to wed (of either sex): - marry (a wife).
Total KJV occurrences: 29

This is the word used for "married" in Matt 22:25; Matt 22:28; Mark 6:17; Mark 12:21; Mark 12:23; Luke 14:20; Luke 20:31; Rom 7:2; 1Cor 7:10; and 1Tim 5:11;
.. but not in 1Cor 14:34.

1 Corinthians 14:34

Complete Jewish Bible

34 let the wives remain silent when the congregation meets; they are certainly not permitted to speak out. Rather, let them remain subordinate, as also the Torah say

One MUST look at the context for this when teaching something so unscriptural as 'women keep silent in church'. This verse is waaaay out of context, which makes the teaching totally wrong. I'll dig up my notes and share them with you...again.
