false teachers

I again what to ad one more point , the pharsees and saducess and sanheadren. We're the religious of the day but Chrsit called them whited tombs full of dead mens bones , He said it once in the authority of God And did He tell every one He met thats how He felt ? His was a message of Love and reconciliation At the end of the day He called them Whomsoever ! The word we seem to all forget ,it is all inclusive , and not exclusive but is the key to reconciling with God Almighty ! ,that means there is HOPE for even the most corrupt among us if we pray for them and hold them ( or ourselves) up to God for restoration not men for condemnation ......Rev

I ask only one question When was the last time you led some one to Christ with the same passion as you're correction of a minister of God ? Only He knows who he has called and is fully able to hold accountable as wrong or right , if the message of the minister offends than dust the dust of you're feet and move on..... We should never hold a supposed false minister before men but hold them up to God God for correction ....Rev

T.S.P. : I believe at least for me, I do not count, I leave that for Jesus. However the seeds I have planted, are for some one else to water or perhaps someone else to harvest. I don't put notches in my belt, or put a mark in my Bible to keep score. To sak such a question is "judging me" and it bothers some what to think I would not witness, or have have introduced Christ to a sinking soul. Passion is really unmeasurable, however I hope the Holy Spirit uses me wher ever hye wants me to share Jesus. For me, being ordained carries a huge burden upon my self, and often I feel totally quilty of missing the "mark". If my life is to be compared to anyone of those listed in the poem-song, and if I am found to be as materialistic, and live as extravagantly, as those mentioned, then that's not right in anone's eyes. To add to all that they teach and preach a false doctrine of health and welfar.

Not only are we to "hold them up to God for correction, but to warn other christians so weak and new believers do not ship wreck their faith. How a ministry uses it's funds is legally required to be available to see, upon request, if they are a 501 C. Several on that list do not do as required and have gone to court and lost. Joyce Myers has lost in court, paid fines, and now has her house in order.

Perhaps the misleading of believers and the example of living so lavishly and then telling others this is how they should and could live, is deceptive, and unbiblical. Is this how Jesus lived as an example for us ti live ? We are warned materialism is wrong. People need to read and understand what the Bible really teaches, then false teachers / preachers could not drain the pockets of some christians.

My question was not to judge but to put into perspective where our energies are spent , not to judge or accuse , I see so many now days tearing down the ministries and ministers instead of lifting them to God for correction and healing ,,,if I offended so sorry ,,,,Rev

I suppose if God wanted to he could straighten it all out for us like he did for Saul on the road to Damascus.
After Saul became Paul I think he was aware enough of God's sovereignty to be able to say:
Philippians 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Agreed many prophets in the bible didn't lead anyone to the lord. Christ calls men to repentance, we simply spread seed and disciple. Notches is the wrong way to look at it.

just for the record ive never put notches on my belt ..but i try to remeber the calling given me at salvation ..Go and reconcile others to Christ as i was ....not go tell the world how youre brothers and sisters are messing up ....Love covers a multitude of sin ....!!!.........Rev

What do you think Paul would do today were he alive to see some of those who are fleesing th flock ? Would he say well done, let those new christians be takes for a ride, it's only their salvation at risk. There are false teachers / preachers, who is to warn them ?

Yes, I think the letters he wrote to different churches and the letters in Revelation to the churches specifically show that we are called to stand up against false teachers and those leading people astray. I also think that a song which calls people out with no evidence or clarification is a joke. This is not what Paul or Jesus would have done and makes the author seem less credible.

He could have written the song without people's names and showed the flock what to look for, then tell people what each person he is calling out has done.

No doubt the song / poem has gotten a good share of advertizement, and that is not the way to warn people. Music used in this way is in itself as bad as the false teachers. The song brings attention the wrong way. But money brought in by the song is just as bad as the way false teachers/ preachers do it. It's the pot calling the kettle black.

I find the OP to be rather a scathing commentary on those who actually point fingers and declare all and sundry as false. they don;t know, it is obvious. Rather than tear down others, it is for us to make sure we ourselves are free in Christ, and not standing there in self-righteousness, ready to tear down those who lead. If the local churches were doing things right, many of those who have risen up to garner huge followings through the media would not be necessary, but as it stands---many of them are, and the OP's list is unworthy, and only serves to cause dissension...nothing much else.

Amen and I don't even know who half those named are.

I do know that every man who is not already an overcomer as Jesus was an overcomer is a liar. This certainly would include me. Every time we quench the Holy Sprit are we not lying to someone even if it is ourself? Every time we stand for a doctrine we believe is correct, but it is not, are we not lying? I have changed my beliefs on certain points several times over the years. When I was wrong I acted and talked as it I was right because I believed I was right. I was still a liar... even if an unintentional one.

Are some worse liars than others? Without a doubt, but who besides God is able to draw any lines? We may judge that we won't listen a certain person any more, but having done that shouldn't we then pray for them and leave them in the hands of God? Who has made us the Lord's avenging angel? Who told us to condemn specific people by name? We scarcely know ourselves, so how can we know these people names so well as that?
