NotConformed said:I've seen some of the movies named in this thread before I was saved. I can't say that I would watch them now, being that they all, for the most part, contain some type of sex/nudity, language, and senseless violence. Such things Paul the Apostle warned us about on several occassions in the epistles.
Ephesians 4:21-24: if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
2Corinthians 7:1: Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 6:17: Therefore
“ Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.
I agree AB! Christmas just isn't the same without at least one viewing of It's A Wonderful Life! Which Little Women did you guys rent? The one with Elizabeth Taylor as Amy or the one with Wynona Ryder as Jo? What a great book and movie! What an awesome thing to share with your 13 yr. old daughter! Making great memories, Mom!AlabasterBox said:It's A Wonderful Life, Have to watch it every Christmas or it is just not Christmas.:icon_wink:
Little Women, I loved the book as a young teen and I Couldn't wait to share it with my daughter. This past summer we rented the movie and than she bought the book. She is 13.
