Fav Movies?

I just watched 'finding private ryan' recently, it's quite a good film. Though I'm a big fan of romantic comedy's like 'the 'princess and me'. 'Are we there yet', is also a good film and so is 'white chicks'.

I just love terminator 2, i've got it on DVD and i watch it over and over again, i can never get bored of it!
I recently watched Charlie and the chocolate factory which i thought was pretty good, but nothing can beat terminator 2.

I've seen some of the movies named in this thread before I was saved. I can't say that I would watch them now, being that they all, for the most part, contain some type of sex/nudity, language, and senseless violence. Such things Paul the Apostle warned us about on several occassions in the epistles.
Ephesians 4:21-24: if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
2Corinthians 7:1: Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 6:17: Therefore
“ Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.

Okay, now you have got me going. However, I shall have to limit myself.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe(2005)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Star Wars Episodes 1,2,3,4(without the swears), and 6(without a few scenes)
Pamela's Prayer
Test of Faith
Home Beyond the Sun
Second Chances
Time Changer
Heidi(with Noley Thornton)
The Sound of Music
The King and I(without Buddah scene)
State Fair
Cheaper By the Dozen(older version)

Like the oldies but goodies

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers
My Fair Lady

Now I also loved a Walk To Remember and Walking Across Egypt

I have to say Narnida was awsome also.

Since our family has been going to this awesome Bible-based church that we're in, I can honestly say that the Lord has convicted us as well about our television viewing habits, movies, music and games we allow our ourselves and our children to see. Praise God!

I can remember lyrics from songs and scenes from movies that we were allowed to watch as children that I had no idea what they meant back then but I know full well what the mean now as an adult! That stuff really does stick with you and that's not always good! (Ex. Lyrics of some of the songs from the movie "Grease". I can still sing a lot of those songs and realize now just how vulgar some of them are...OY! I wouldn't want my 7 yr. old running around singing that stuff!)

However, I do still have a few movie favs. Most of the older ones mentioned before. Just a couple off hand that were mentioned that I always enjoy:

It's a Wonderful Life
Little Women

It's A Wonderful Life, Have to watch it every Christmas or it is just not Christmas.:icon_wink:

Little Women, I loved the book as a young teen and I Couldn't wait to share it with my daughter. This past summer we rented the movie and than she bought the book. She is 13.

I agree AB! Christmas just isn't the same without at least one viewing of It's A Wonderful Life! Which Little Women did you guys rent? The one with Elizabeth Taylor as Amy or the one with Wynona Ryder as Jo? What a great book and movie! What an awesome thing to share with your 13 yr. old daughter! Making great memories, Mom!

I love both of those movies! Have any of you ever seen the movies taken from Jane Austin's books? Those are really good too!

oh i love adam sandler to he is so halarious but i really like gladiator and black hawk down and well because im a girl i half to admit i love the notebook!! but i think the movies u picked are rad!!!

I love the old Hayley Mills Disney movies plus plus Anne of Green Gables (Megan Follows) Little Women the old one with Katharine Hepburn also The Philadelphia Story and alot of KH movies. I love Sandra Bullock she was so endearing in "While you were sleeping' my most favorite SB movies. Harry Potter movies (pure fantasy)
I'm not much for slasher movies, science fiction or action really.
