Fav Movies?

Some of you mentioned some really good movies. Here's a list of movies I like. In no particualr order and seeing as how I really like movies, I'm gonna leave out a few just cause I can't remember or whatever...lol. But here it is anyways:

An Affair To Remember
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Passion of the Christ
LOTR trilogies
Star Wars trilogy (preferably 4, 5, & 6 - I was raised on that with my dad...lol)
The Goonies (This movie is a classic for me and my sister..."Goonies never say die!")
Princess Bride
Chronicles of Narnia
Kingdom of Heaven

& Because my family is really big on being together during Christmastime and watching holiday movies, this is our usual list of movies we watch EVERY year and it still never gets old...lol.

Meet me in St. Louis (mainly me, my mom, and my sisters)
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th street

There are so much more, but I don't want to bore you...lol. I love action movies, fantasy/sci-fi and romantic-comedy movies. But I really love old movies.

Be Blessed,
Tiffany

omgsh Star Wars Saga, George Lucas is a genius, for the most part, haha with few exceptions, lol

Earlier I posted "Remember the Titans" as my favorite. I also have some other favorites I would like to mention! The Passion of Christ, the Sound of Music, You've Got Mail, Jeremy's Egg, Sarah Plain & Tall, and Love Comes Softly.

A walk to remember is my favorite, cry every time. The five people you meet in Heaven is another. Also House of sand and fog. Anything Adam Sandler- 50 first dates is my fav of his.

Oh wow to many to name.

Lord of the rings all 3. (all time favorite)
Shrek 1&2 (The best feel good movie)
Man on fire (I know its violent)
Good Fellas (yea I know, very violent with lots of cursing)

Pirates of the Carribean 1&2 (but two is better)
Ace ventura Pt 2 (Jim Carrey is hillarious)
Anchor man (so stupid its funny)

Finding Nemo (yea Im a big kid)
The Grinch (Hes a mean one)
Kingdom of heaven (Just a great movie)

Ok i will stop now before I get too carried away.

Tough question. I like so many.
But I will endeavor to do my best. This list is in no particular order.

1. King of Kings
2. Rebbecca
3. Singing In The Rain
4. It's a Wonderful Life
5. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
6. To Kill a Mockingbird
7. The Ten Commandments
8. The Bible
9. The Grapes of Wrath
10. King Kong

I could go on and on. I own a large DVD collection. Around 750 films on slightly more than 500 individual discs. I buy three or four a month, and when my parents were still alive they'd send me DVDs for Christmas, and my birthday. I also shop a lot online for bargains.

My favorite films are the classics. I really feel that the art of movie making has been lost/is being lost. Today it's all about special effects and high priced (low talent) celebrities. Oh, I grant that there are the rare exceptions. For instance I really enjoy films starring Morgan Freeman. And I cry whenever I watch the Color Purple. The scene when Miss Celie and Nettie are reunited gets me everytime. So, yeah, I'm a softy. :embarasse

I almost never watch television. Just news, and major sporting events. But at least every other day I sit down for 90-minutes and watch one of my DVDs.

Why do I own so many?
I'm not sure. I've always been borderline obsessive/compulsive. Maybe that's the answer.

Friendly Persuasion Has Never Lost It's #1 Spot!

No movie has ever been able to bounce this jewel from top rank, since the first time I saw it years ago,and I'm still watching it. I think it is absolutely perfect in every way,and has everything that could be desired in a movie, drama, humor, breathtaking scenery and musical score, romance, plus moral dilemas to make you think, concerning pacifism of Quakers, and your religious principals. The acting by all is flawless as well.
