Anyone care to explain verse 29 in context below? I think I have referenced all the verses necessary to understand verse 29 in its context.
Romans 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Now I am one to believe that the only repentance required at salvation is repenting from unbelief by believing in Him, but in running that race as His disciple, now after having been reconciled, we are required to live that reconciled relationship with God through Jesus Christ to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily to be fruitful by walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son.

How do you apply verse 29 to mean if repentance of sins is also required at or before salvation?
I am one to believe that addicted sinners can come to Jesus as they are because they are seeking Jesus to deliver them from their sins and not just have eternal life by believing in Him.
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.....
.....8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:....
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
We have a testimony of how Jesus have saved sinners from their sins here at TalkJesus.
So Jesus changes us at salvation and not we changing ourselves before getting saved. The power we had received to become the sons of God is at our salvation.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
So this happens even to those that believe in His name as we are not born by blood, nor by the will of the flesh nor by the will of man as if requiring repentance from sins before Jesus Christ can save us.
Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
So no works of righteousness was done before we got saved since our believing in Him is the work of the Father in revealing His Son to us so we can believe and be saved, but works are "profitable" unto men to maintain in order to be fruitful as His disciples.
Titus 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men....
.....14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful..
15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
The work of the Father is our believing in Him since He gave us to the Son so we can believe in Him to be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
So the work or our believing in Him & being delivered from our sins as manifested is God's work.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Note the Father's will in verse 40 above in how we are saved which is by only believing in Him. So that also includes by believing in Him for deliverance from our sins so we can live as the sons of God.
Now we can look to Him daily to help us lay aside every weight & sin in running that race in moving unto perfection by the same grace of God we have been saved by and that is by faith in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The defense of the faith in Jesus Christ rests in Him.
So I put this to the readers regarding Romans 11:29 if that applies to the rest of scriptures in according to my faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved by only believing in Him so that by only believing in Him is how we can follow Him too.

We have a testimony of how Jesus have saved sinners from their sins here at TalkJesus.
One thing I have personally learned is that being able to stop a certain sin, (such as Drug use) on our own power and self-discipline is NOT the same as being set free from the sin with Jesus in control.
I remember when I would quit using drugs on my own I was still in bondage and miserable dreamed about the drugs and had to fight it off all day. I had lunch a while back with a friend who has been clean for 20 years from a heavy drugging lifestyle, and he told me he had to fight the addiction every day.
Well now I no longer use drugs and Jesus has set me free, I do not have to fight the urge, Jesus has taken the urge away from me.
So to me, being set free is when Jesus changes our hearts and we want to please him instead of satisfying the desires of the flesh.
So Jesus changes us at salvation and not we changing ourselves before getting saved. The power we had received to become the sons of God is at our salvation.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
