How could those born BC get into Heaven?

If we look at that passage a little closer we find that He said He would come back so that they could be with Him.\

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Jn 14:1–3.

He said if He goes, He'll come again so that they can be with Him. So, the only way they can be with Him is if He comes back.

True. But things are getting scrambled around now.
Where he went when he left is where he prepared our place. When he comes back he will take us to where he now is

There's nothing in Scripture that says that. When He comes back He's staying. He sets up the Kingdom when He returns. He said, "in my Father's house". "My Father's house" is a reference to the temple, not Heaven. Nowhere in Scripture is Heaven called "My Father's house". When He comes back He will sit on the throne of His father David. David's throne was in Jerusalem.

I am in agreement with you there.
It is my belief that Christ will reign 1000 years on the throne here on earth. After that as Paul says, he will then turn things back over to God.

As for the church, they went to heaven in Rev. 4.
Now before you jump on me. The 24 elders with the white robes and crowns tossing at Christ feet, represent the church.
You will never change my mind on that.

What about John?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Jn 3:12–13.

He wrote this about 60 years after Jesus died. The rest of the apostles had already died and many in the church had been persecuted to death. Where did they go?

Waiting for the bodily resurrection of the saints.
I dont know where they are waiting. Bible is not that clear on the matter.

But Paul says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

They're dead in their graves.

Actually, that's not quite what Paul said. The word "is" isn't in the verse.

8 Thus we are full of courage and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Biblical Studies Press, The NET Bible, Second Edition. (Denmark: Thomas Nelson, 2019), 2 Co 5:8.

He's simply stating a preference. However, if we look at the larger context this whole passage is about the Resurrection.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), 2 Co 5:1–8.

In this passage Paul is actually arguing against the position you're presenting. The Greeks believed that when they died their spirit or soul lived on and ascended into the heavens. Paul equates this with being clothed and unclothed. He is speaking of two states of being, one corruptible and the other incorruptible. Notice he says they're burdened, not that they should be unclothed, or without the body as the Greek desired, but rather clothed upon. The Greek word translated "clothed upon" means to put on over, like one puts on a coat over their clothes. So, he's saying that he wants to put on immortality over top of his mortality, thus it is swallowed up. The Greek goal was to shed the body, but Paul's goal is that his body would put on immortality.

Two kinds of resurrections.

I would offer God is present working in the born believer to both will and empower us to f do it to His good pleasure. When we are absence from this earthen bodies of death we will be asleep in Christ called the Bosom of Abraham the resting place ofall the nations of the world .

The first resurrections when all the old testament saints during an earthquake arose from earth and entered the place of many mansions . The final resurrections will be on the last day under the Sun. When those apleep and those still in the earthen bodies reigning with Christ will both be changed into the incorruptible bride

Christ as God is reigning here on earth There is no turning back to Him as if he could leave ,He holds all things together . Christians' reign with Him as Abassaordoors from a foreign land The unseen Jerusalem Zion prepared for the bride of Christ the Church

The thousand years is not a literal thousand years . The phrase is used six times in the same way to represent (a unknown un revaled) .the siginfed understanding of parables must be sought out .. No sign where given .

Thousand years = unknown .we are to walk by faith not of those who literally number days or people. .

So you believe the resurrection has taken place already and we are now in the millennium reign?

So you believe the resurrection has taken place already and we are now in the millennium reign?

The Amil position no literal thousand years works the best if we rightly divide prophecy and search out the meaning of the parables the poetic tongue of God .

What I call the first of part of the final resurrection that took place as a result of the promised first century reformation restoring the order of Judges. . old testament apostles as prophets bringing the gospel as it is written .

Note . . ( my addition as a personal comment )

Hebrew 9: 8-11 The Holy Ghost this signifying, (sign, the temporal things seen mixed with the unseen eternal )that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:Which was a figure (parable) for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

The previous order Kings in Israel as the abomination of desolation Christ in Samael 8 turned it over to the atheist Jews to do whatsoever came from form their own mouth as oral traditions of men until the time of the first century reformation. they refused to have a invisible God reigning over them through the apostles as Judges .

During that period of time (Kings n Israel) The Holy Spirit set aside it a parables using the temporal signified things seen mixed with the eternal vision ceremonial laws as shadows pointed ahead to the sufferings of Christ beforehand

samaue 8: 7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

Matthew 27:52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Above pointed to the first part of the resurrections The law being satisfied by the work of Christ. You could say taking away the holding pen a temporal cell for the old testament apostles or saints .

1 Peter 1: 9-12 Whom U, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into

We look back to the glory by the same spirit of faith that looked ahead

The same reformation . Spoken of in Joel The apostle revealed at Pentecost

Acts 2:15-17 King James Version For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

The last days beginning the thousand year reign an unknown time period which we are under now . The word thousand years used 9 times throughout the Bible isthe signified understanding used in that parable .

Prior to that reformation . Kings in Israel .(abomination of desolation) Jewish men were separated from Jewish woman with a 15 foot high wall and another wall separating gentile from participating . The gospel flood (when Christ announced it is finished.) . .opened up the resurrection gates all of the old testament shadows became sight . One new ceremonial was given to look ahead by it is found in1 Corinthians 11>

To be absent from the earthly body of death is to be present asleep waiting for the last day under the Sun (end of temporal time)
When those reigning with Christ will be caught up together with those asleep and in the twinkling of the eye all receive their new born again incorruptible body that will not age as in dying leading to an end.

Except the prophecy given by Joel didnt take place in Acts. That is still in the future. I think we discussed before.

I think you answered your own question
I did. Because I know how the idea of people going Heaven entered the Christian faith. It was through Greek Philosophy and Gnosticism. Prior to the New Testament age a major belief among the Greeks was that of Plato who taught that the body was the prison of the soul. As such it was the goal of man, who they believed was a spiritual being, to escape the body. That's why Paul said the gospel was foolishness to the Greeks. Paul preached the Resurrection. The Greeks saw the body as a prison of soul. So, once they escaped it why on earth would they ever want to go back into it?

While the apostles were alive they were able to keep this teaching in check. However, it was becoming an issue in their day. Even Paul had to admonish the Corinthians, some of which were denying the resurrection. However, once the apostles were gone from the scene and the majority of converts were no longer Jews but Gentiles, the gentile thinking began to have more and more influence over how people interested the Scriptures.

You see one's worldview determines how one understands the world around them. So, if one believes they are a spirit living in a flesh body that belief will determine how they interpret Scripture. Since the majority of mankind believes in Dualism, the idea that some part of man can live apart from the body, it's not surprising to see them interpret Scripture through that lens. Over time these incorrect ideas get embedded in people's minds and they no longer question it. That's how we got the idea that Chridtoans go to Heaven. However, as we've seen from Jesus' own words that idea is incorrect

I thank you brother. And believe me,i will be thinking on this.

Really my only concern is being ready when i leave this stage of life. Thats where our only real focus belongs. Its good and fun to discuss and debate certain matters. But perfecting this soul should take top priority.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come. The moon didnt turn to blood that day.

Hi thanks I would offer as a sign of Jonah compared to the sign of the Son of man, Jesus .Two parables that reveal the mystery of faith comparing the spiritual eternal to the spiritual. Not the literal temporal what the eyes see . . to the literal (natural mankind ) .Believer seek after prophecy . . .prophecy the revealer of the unseen things of God who is Spirit and not a man as us .

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

The last sign given.

That sign of a promised three days and night demonstration of the Holy Father working with the Son of man Jesus is over . It was fullined. . no signs remain to wonder after. wondering is not believing .. Satan the god of this world would seem to be the god of wondering . (no faith as it is written )

We have prophecy as the will of God not seen . He has sealed off the idea off a sign needed. It would speak to those who seek after signs or outward marks. rather than scripture. In the last chapter of the book of prophecy (do not add or subtract from it as it is written ) sealed with seven seals til the end of time the last day under the Sun .

It was a red Moon the Earth hid the direct light of the Sun from the Moon. . the earth giving of its blue hue giving the moon a reddish favor A picture of Christ coming with his bride the church spoken of in a beautiful parable (Psalms 19)

Psalm 19:1-5 King James Version The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Acts2:18-21 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved

Luke 23:44-46King James Version44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Mathew 25 50-54 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

The veil is rent representing the circumcision of the first born of God from above. There was no Kings of kings as the hope of a un converted Jew. Satan who instituted Kings in Israel (1 Samuel 8) until the time of the first century reformation (Hebrew 9) Satan could no longer deceive all the nations of the world that God a was a man as us .He will be loosed again for a short period of time when men again wil demand God not seen give them a earthly government of dying mankind. ( Revelation 20:3)

To be absent from these bodies of corruption is to be present yoked with Christ. Christ is reigning now in the hearts of His children of light .On the last day he will leave like a thief in the night .

Im sorry, that was jumbled up and made no sense at all.

That last sentence,Christ will leave what?

Many say he will appear again in a fleshly body and reign for a literal thousand years .He never stopped reigning from heaven

He will leave reigning with those on earth it the last day the end of time.

No literal thousand years .
