Is Heavy Metal Evil?

It would be cruel not to tell someone how to be cured from terminal cancer if what you say is actually true as you believe. My point is that it is a cruel doctrine because it is not true.

I have done this many times with my wife's chronic illness. Still not healed.

I never said he has to do anything. He chose to predestine people to be saved. This is my point God is in control of everything including healing. If he wants to heal you he will no matter if you want it or not.

Can you make a fish do anything?

Look between the ...'s It says God decides the rulers not us "managers". Here is the entire verse "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

How do you even think I am saying anything like this. I have always contended that God is in control an does what he wants regardless of our will. You are the one saying he NEEDS us to do things on earth. You are the one calling the shots or want to.
Look! Vincent! You can believe the Word or not...That is your choice (free will) If you want to argue with the Word...You lose!

I keep forgetting that you grew up in a Romanist environment.....Catholic LOL

God dignifies us with free will, the power to make decisions of our own rather than having God or fate predetermine what we do. Consider what the Bible teaches.

  • God created humans in his image. (Genesis 1:26) Unlike animals, which act mainly on instinct, we resemble our Creator in our capacity to display such qualities as love and justice. And like our Creator, we have free will.

  • To a great extent, we can determine our future. The Bible encourages us to “choose life . . . by listening to [God’s] voice,” that is, by choosing to obey his commands. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20) This offer would be meaningless, even cruel, if we lacked free will. Instead of forcing us to do what he says, God warmly appeals to us: “O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river.”—Isaiah 48:18.

  • Our success or failure is not determined by fate. If we want to succeed at an endeavor, we must work hard. “All that your hand finds to do,” says the Bible, “do with your very power.”(Ecclesiastes 9:10) It also says: “The plans of the diligent one surely make for advantage.”—Proverbs 21:5.
Free will is a precious gift from God, for it lets us love him with our “whole heart”—because we want to.—Matthew 22:37.

If you want to do God's will, you will know whether my teachin here is from God or I speak on my own
John 7:17

Lose what? My salvation? If I am wrong I will find our from Jesus himself so will you.

No you will not lose your salvation so far as I know..but you will lose an argument with the Word, you will not learn, you will not grow in spirit....That's not a good thing is it?
I don't understand why you're being so ...feisty...I'm not your enemy...LIke you I was raised Romanist...To me its a blasphemous religion of death, and I know the junk you're dealing with on that front.....Now..I'm just trying to answer your questions according to the Word...If you want to fight about it, I'll just back up and sit down quietly....I don't need or want the strife..Your choice. Choose.

But the mercy of Adonai on those who fear him
is from eternity past to eternity future,
and his righteousness extends
to his children’s children,
provided they keep his covenant
and remember to follow his precepts.

I was not raised Catholic. My grandparents were catholic and I went with them on Easter/Christmas etc. My parents went on these holidays to please their parents. My parents were not Christians or religious. The Catholic teachings do not influence my faith. I reject the Catholic teachings as not Christian. I was not a Christian or religious until I was 31.

The theology you believe and promote is anti-biblical and I believe it hurts people in a real way. My wife believes she can be healed by gods intervention so do I. She has not been healed. You would say it is because she is believing wrong. If only she believed more or rightly then God will be required to heal her. Can you see how painful that could be for her if she believed that doctrine? Do you have any scientific proof of a miraculous healing?

This is works righteousness.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast". (Eph 2:8-9 KJV)

We are not made righteous by keeping his covenant, we are made righteous by his grace not by our keeping of the law.

You wrote in your intro that it was Catholic influence in your early life.... You are certainly religious now though aren't you? My theology is what the bible says only....I'm not smart enough to make up my own...People are hurt by not believing what the bible says...Or telling God what he means when he says something... I would not say she is believing wrong...I am saying she is believing wrong...She is listening to the wrong source...And it is not the Word that either of you are listening to....Jesus is the only way my friend....What He says.... If she believes more rightly you say....I say..If she will believe God instead of other sources..she will be healed. God already healed her! 1 Pete 2:24 God healed me simply because He loves me and I believed Him when He said so. I still walk in that healing There is no reason at all that she cannot do the same.

See? My friend you are arguing with scripture...That was a direct quote from the bible.....Psalm 103:17-18 Do you really think you know more than God?

Stop it!

Stop fighting the Word, it messes you up in all areas It's destructive to you and all the body, when you set yourself up against Him....Its like shooting yourself in the foot....You will wind up with the results of opponents of the Word.

This is what I wrote: "I was born in a non believing family and only went to a Catholic Church on holidays to appease my grandparents."

I 100% agree. I can say the same thing. So what now?

I agree Jesus is the only way to salvation. I cannot square your theology with scripture. Your insistence that my wife and people like her do not believe in god is hurtful to faithful Christians like her. She believes in god, we are faithful in prayer about her illness and we are also comforted by our god when he thinks it best to not heal her.

God healed me simply because He loves me and I believed Him when He said so. I still walk in that healing There is no reason at all that she cannot do the same.

Do you have proof God healed you? If this were true there should be documented cases all over the place of divine healing. Where are they?

I know it is scripture. This passage says this is for "those who keeps his covenant" Have you kept the covenant perfectly? If not you have violated the covenant and are damned. Jesus standard is perfection Mt 5:48. Can you say have kept all gods laws perfectly? The Bible says you have not.

I follow scripture. I study it to find out what is says as a whole and not cherry pick verses out of context. I refer to trusted sources and the church fathers as to what they believed. The early church fathers never believed in the health and wealth doctrine. No mention of it before late 19th century. It preys on peoples fears and greed.

Now you're putting things into my mouth...I did not say your wife does not believe in God....I said she is listening to the wrong sources concerning her healing...
I have many witnesses that can attest to my healing...In several healings... As to your wife...God said "By Jesus stripes she was healed"!! Are you saying that He lied? If so...Take it up with Him..I'm not God's Peter lawyer.. :

Yeah..For those who keep His covenant....You are covenant people....No I have not kept covenant perfectly, thus I have not always gotten the answers I wanted... Here's the thing about that...It's not a covenant between you and God...Its a covenant between Jesus and the Father with you as beneficiary....If you beak it, you get back up, apologize to Father, and keep going...You are NOT damned because you didn't break covenant per se.

I'm having fun with this computer this morning....silly machines

Frankly Vincent ...I'm really getting tired of this constant bickering....I can give you verse after verse, a list as long as your arm and you will not believe scripture....I really feel like I'm wasting my time discussing this with you...I like you, I think you're really smart, I believe you are a blood bought son of God......But you're also incredibly stubborn...I know by the Word that healing is for us, for today..I know by experience that God heals His people...I've experienced it, I've ministered healing to I don't know how many people. Unfortunately I cannot force you to believe the Word...Its your choice. The Word is true, Healing is real for those who will simply reach out to Father and receive it....All it takes is to believe God...and no one else. You choose whom you will believe...And let your wife do the same....I suspect that you are the blockage to her believing for her healing. I know I sound harsh but truly....I don't know how to say it more diplomatically.. Sorry if I offend you....

I'm done

We have been through this before, The word translated can mean physical or spiritual healing. It is used interchangeably in the texts in Greek and Hebrew. The context in Isaiah 53 and 1 Peter 2 is that of sin and righteousness. Spiritual healing of sins. No reference to physical healing is in the text. You are not believing the word not me. You are adding to it as well.

You did not say she does not believe in god but you did say it is her fault she is sick. God says he works all things for good for those who love him. My wife loves god and god is working this for good. Your theology makes that impossible. The only outcome if she believes your theology is that of despair not good.

Where is this taught in the scriptures? Jesus kept the covenant for us. I can say I have kept all the laws of god when I die because Jesus gave that to me as a gift so I can be perfect with God. I am a sinner here until then.
