Hi Christ4ever yes Paradise is actually where God and Jesus resides. Follow me really fast ill show you. Got to Rev. 2:7 letter to Ephesus points out that the tree of life is in Paradise. Now go to Rev. 22:1,2 Where is the tree of life? See my brothers its not hard with a Concordance, prefferably Strong's, to type a word and study it out. Watch out for thise Bible commentary or Concordance commentary or you will be following other peoples error or at least match up what they say to the Bible, not what the Bible say then to what they say.

See that is where you are wrong c4e. If i was too tell you"Man that woman is taking forever to get dressed, is that literal. Or

No not forever they will eventually die and become stubble. Malachi 4.

Aside ignoring my previous post about why "hell" appears so many times in the Bible and you don't know why, but still believe Hell doesn't exist...

Explain the above "stubble" you mention.

Hi Chad the Bible can never contradict itself. You cannot read one thing and I read another. That you and me can agree. God is not a God of confusion. So either im right or your righy. So lets study this. My post about how we were made and that no onegoes to heaven or hell at death will and does explain alot from Gen to Rev.

How many lost souls are being punished today? 2 Peter 2:9 There is not one single soul in hellfire today. The Bible says that God reserves, or holds back, the wicked until the DAY of judgement.
When will inners be cast into hellfire? Matt13:40-42/ John12:48 Sinners will be castinto hllfire in tje great judgement day at the end of the world-- not when they die. God will not punish in fire until his case was tried and decided in court at the end of the world. Nor would God burn a murderer who died 5000 yrs ago 5000 yrs longerthan one who dies and deserves punishment for the same thing today( Gen. 18:25)

Where are sinners who have died now? John 5:28,29/ Job 21:30,32 They are "sleeping" in the graves

What is the end of sin? Rom 6:23/ James1:15/ John3:16 the wages, or punishment, for sin is DEATH, not everlasting life in hellfire. The wicked "perish", or receive"death". The righteous receive "everlasthing life"

What will happen to the wicked in hellfire? Rev.21:8 The wicked die the second death in hellfire. If the wicked lived forever being tortured in hell, they would immortal. But this is impossible, because the Bible says God "alone has immortality"(1Tim 6:16). When Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden, an angel was posted to guard the tree of life so that sinners would not eat and "live forever"( Gen3:22-24). The teaching that sinners are immortal in hell originated with Satan and is completely untrue. God prevented this when sin entered this earth by guarding the tree of life.

The Bible is clear, the wicked are OBLITERATED. The Bible says the wicked suffer "death"(Rom6:23), will suffer"doom"[destruction]Job21:30), "shall perish"(Psalm

Ok cont shall perish(psalm37:20), will "burn up"(Mal.4:1), "shall be destroyed together"(psalm37:38), will"vanish away"(psalm37:20), "shall be cut off"(psalm 37:9), "shall be slain"(psalm 62:3), God will "destroy " them(psalm 145:20), and "fire shall devour them"(psalm21:9). Note that allthese references make it clear that the wivked die and are destroyed. They do not live forever in misery.

Hope that helps. Yes Chad if you read Malachi the wicked dead, includimg Satan will be ashes on the Day the Lord does this.

With all the love of Christ I'm saying this. Be admonished. Your assumptions which I understand you see as warnings on how people might come by knowledge they have used in replying to you is presumptuous at best. I highly doubt you will even acknowledge this statement, just as you've failed to on my previous posts to you to acknowledge other items brought to your attention concerning comments you have made.

Using your analogy at the end of your post, is apples & oranges. Though appearing to be the same, they are different, because one is of man and the other of God. Here is why you are not only incorrect, but wrong! (Wow, that’s been the most blunt I’ve been on this site.)

If what you say is correct then Eternal/Everlasting life is not what the Word of God says it is. Why you ask? Because the same words are used for eternal judgment, fire, that is used for life. I so wanted to use your own analogy here but deleted it. Instead the following verses show you that eternal as in life and judgment, fire are what they say they are. Yes I do utilize Strong's.

According to Strong's (Greek) 166 defined "eternal and everlasting (NT)" as follows:
1) without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be
2) without beginning
3) without end, never to cease, everlasting

Dealing with the righteous

duration of life for the believer in Christ: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [36] He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (Jhn 3:15-16, 36 KJV)

Duration of salvation: [9] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (Hbr 5:9 KJV)

Duration of heaven: [1] For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (2Cr 5:1 KJV)

Duration of Christ's redemption: [12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. (Hbr 9:12 KJV)

Duration of the Spirit's existence: [14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hbr 9:14 KJV)

Duration of the inheritance of the saints: [15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (Hbr 9:15 KJV)

Duration of divine glory: [10] But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. (1Pe 5:10 KJV)

Duration of Christ's kingdom: [11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (2Pe 1:11 KJV)

Retribution of the wicked

[8] Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. (Mat 18:8 KJV)

[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: [46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (Mat 25:41, 46 KJV)

[29] But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: (Mar 3:29 KJV)

[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (2Th 1:9 KJV)

[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (Hbr 6:2 KJV)

[7] Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jud 1:7 KJV)

Now, you can rationalize what you want to when it comes to the Bible, even if it is done in a fashion that has some perceived logic, but in essence your arguments hold no validity when taken in context of the entire Bible.

A brother previously posted, basically; what have I lost if I believe in a hell and it doesn’t exist, verses not believing in a hell and there is one? The believer is not damaged by this, for he believes. Yet not telling someone what they are clearly facing according to scripture is doing the unbeliever an injustice and clearly are not providing a complete picture of what is in store for those who are and remain in their position of everlasting punishment.

Acquiesce on "Eternal/Everlasting" in both cases having the same meaning?

To be honest, both sides of the above are quoted from Herbert Lockyer which deals with Biblical Doctrines (I've been reading it on and off for years). Taking nothing for granted, I reviewed each scripture reference he provided to make his point, which I took a step further by including them here for your benefit. Something I do with whatever scripture you or anyone else provides. Easy to lose context to the whole by isolating individual scripture verses.

Remember what we do here, is not only for mutual or individual edification, but for the Glory of God, that all may know His truth in continue to grow in it! Alleluia!

Yes look at 3857 in Strong's (Greek) Paradise: Park, Eden or place of future happiness. Not necessarily heaven brother. But still rather enjoyable place to be wouldn't you say?

Well you answered my question while i was reading your post at the end. Cause to be honest i was thinking where in the world was he getting this stuff. See you have to stop reading and getting these doctrines from man(in yoir case Herbert Lockyer). I could tell you are not pleading with God to show you by the Holy Spirit.

Dont you know the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and teaches us. Please dont use another mans twisted opinions again to tryto prove a point. I believe other people do it here but at least you are honest to actually write down you do. Whats up we are becoming so lazy as to diligently study His word a streasured gold like the parable of the pearl.

I have a testimony of this one Bible study I was going to give and the topic was on the Rapture. I went in with my Bible only. This lady, after we prayed, came out with this thick book on what this other guys opinion was on the Rapture. She could not show me from the Bible herself, not only that but its not in the Bible(thats a whole other topic). I looked at her and told her im here to show you in the Bible through Gods word, but she kept reffering back to this guy. I believe this is many of peoplenhere as well.

My prayer is for you guys not to be misled by other people, not even yoir pastors. Keep your eyes on Jesus and His Word not man.

I forgot to add C4E that yes you are folowing man. I simply showed you from Gods Word about that Paradise is in heaven, but you stated that this guy says its not. Ill pray for you. Please reread and do the quick study on it . It was only 3 verses. God bless

I was right in what I opened my post with wasn't I.

Your argument fails brother. If all would use your argument who would we listen too? None my brother. If you provide scripture do I not believe you have diligently studied what you have written to see if true? Yet I should still not believe you which is what you're saying? By your standard even if once verified it should still not be considered only because it is received from another, even if it is a brother or sister in Christ Jesus.

In my posting I used a portion only of what the writer provided, but only after checking the validity of scripture he used. The rest by inspiration alone. I will give credit where credit is due, who in turn gives credit to God. Is this wrong? When you yourself have used the mention of "scholars", yet have left them unnamed when it came with the dealing of the placement of the"comma"? If I had left the person unnamed would then the post have been valid?

Your standard would stop any communication of thought. Even the apostles discussed issues between them (circumcision is but one example.), yet in what you say this then would be questionable if a third party would agree or disagree? You throw the baby out with the bath water. I fear to even call you brother, for how you might negatively receive such an assumption!

Even using the advice you provided (Strong's) which was by inspiration and not by the writer mentioned. you still disregard it. All I can see is that only those you have deemed as being acceptable can have discourse with you in any meaningful manner. Even this I'm starting to question, unless it is only those in a position of authority over you that you find communication not coinciding with yours acceptable?

This is sad because even seeing the truth of His Word presented to you. You set it aside with no consideration of it's validity.

You do not even follow your own standard and still persist in disregarding scripture brought by me and have suggested even when written only by inspiration and my own study! Are you a wolf amongst the sheep, seeding dissension and discord? I do not normally suggest this, but your failure to respond except negatively to any thought not your own, is a reflection of this possibility. Though a good wolf (Can there be one?) would be more subtle.

I will pray for you and that whatever deceptions in the past have caused you to negate the Word of God when presented to you by inspiration or revelation outside of yourself, be cleansed, that you might see with clarity that His Word is not just the purview of a few of His Children, but all. In the name of Christ Jesus I pray and ask Amen.

There are so many things taken out of context in this post that it's hard to know where to begin, you jump all over the place contradicting yourself frequently, but putting
all of the semantics of hell, heaven, paradise, bosom of Abraham, sheol, gehenna, aside for a moment, you did get one thing right here. At the end of the story some get thrown into the lake of fire. Now whether they are in the grave, or in hell, or some place else... at the end of the Bible, the unsaved (who's names are not written in the book of life) end up in the lake of fire. Yes the wages of sin is death, we all die, but physical death isn't the end of the story, there is something called the second death in the Bible. Rev 20:14; Rev 20:15; Rev 21:8; As far as the wicked being "obliterated" I don't see this anywhere in the Bible. Rom 6:23 is talking about the first (physical) death of the body.
Job 21:30 "For the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity; They will be led forth at the day of fury.

The word some translations use here is ...
H343

From the same as H181 (in the sense of bending down); oppression; by implication misfortune, ruin: - calamity, destruction.

I would say being thrown into a lake of fire qualifies as misfortune or ruin or calamity, and yes destruction in a sense. If a storm "destroys" a house, the pieces of wood, timber, and sheet rock are still there, there is still a pile of "stuff" there. If a banker loses all his money in the stock market, he is "destroyed", but he still alive. Even in a battle with planes, tanks and warships, relics of old world war II (and older) that have been "destroyed" are still found from time to time. How could they be found if they were "obliterated"?

As far as how long these people burn, it isn't a temporary thing.
Matt 25:46; Rev 20:10; Luke 16:23-34; Isa 33:14; Jude 1:7; .. many others.
As far as the soul not living forever, if this is true how can Christians have ETERNAL life? Matt 19:29; John 3:16; Acts 13:48; Rom 2:7, .. many others.

God is the only immortal, the rest of us die. (A physical death) Rom 6:23; Heb 9:27
If Adam and Eve would have ate from the tree of life, this wouldn't be the case.

BAC where have I erred. Jumping all over the place is that not what the Bibke tells us to do. Isa.20:10/ 1cor 2:13. Comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. What part of sin=death doesnt anyone understands. Death is Death not burning somewhere being alive. This is so obvious. Traditions and Pride will always make people believe one thimg when its do obvious.

John 3:16 should not perish(die) but have everlasting life. One or 2 choices at the end. The second death or Life eternal. Remember God is going to get rid of sin forever and ever. Not keep it alive in some hell forever.

My testimony is I too was fighting this truth believe me. When I found out that there is no hell and all that would happen is that one will die I literally was like what is the point of being good here on earth. I was thinking in my mind i can go back to robbery, drugs(selling and using, fornicating, etc. But when I fell in love with Christ I want, by His grace, to be with Him forever. I have learned, not all there yet, to be obedient to do His will. But this hell thinh is not real for the reasons i listed above and simply bevause He hasnt judged anyone yet, so how can one be in hell if they are not judged yet. John 5/ Dan12/ Rev.22, 1pet/1 Thess, etc.

Warning you are departing from Scripture

When I found out that there is no hell and all that would happen is that one will die I literally was like what is the point of being good here on earth.

you are in error.

you need to listen to the correction given here by the brethren..

Now listen: hell is real and those that are in there are in torments.

If you harden your neck and keep refusing sound doctrine and keep calling hell a lie over and over then maybe one day you will find yourself to wander in there yourself!

Beware!

Dutch I do listen and do love reproof when im in error. Unless you show me from Scripture and reasoning as to how there can be a hel when the Bible never can contradict itself, then you and everyone else is in error. And sorry to say

1 Cor 15:12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Cor 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;
1 Cor 15:14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
1 Cor 15:15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
1 Cor 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;
1 Cor 15:17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
1 Cor 15:18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
1 Cor 15:19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
1 Cor 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
1 Cor 15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

Tit 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,

If we don't have eternal life, then neither did Jesus. If there is no hope for us after this life, why call your self a Christian?
If this is all there is, then you are right. It doesn't matter what we believe or how we live.
As for me... well,I will continue to believe He is risen, and he does have the power to give eternal life.

Yes you do listen, but fail to respond to the scripture provided to you. Instead you go for why (Without addressing the scripture references.) the individual should take care of being deceived. You are not "sorry" for this, just sorry for our error and not your lack of kindness.

You set your reasoning as being the only valid one, without showing why you decided the scripture references shown you, which you most have reviewed prior to coming to your own conclusion. Why you disregarded them specifically. Using a general comment of "The Bible never can contradict itself" which I also believe, does not answer that question for one who values reasoning as you do. So, I must ask, how did you reason this conclusion of yours with all that you now know?

I do believe in a ressurection, just not as soon as someone dies. Ressurrection is when Jesus comes back. 1thess4:16,17 and 1Cor15 as clearly stated. Once again how can there be a hell if nobody is judged yet? Dan12/Rev.22/ and all of the New Testament disciples and believers.

You guys should be asking when did this false doctrine creep in.

45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

I could argue differences schematics and situations all day, the best I can answer is it is a sin if it's done as a cowardly way to escape life's trouble, but if it's accidental, (Assuming suicide can be accidental), then it's not sin. As for going to hell, I'd rather not take any risk on that one, so I'd say it's a possibility.
