Let's share a testimony of praise and thanks daily

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

I got up a little grumpy this morning.....having to work on this glorious sunny day.

However, in my job I care for people with both physical and mental illness.

So therefore may I rejoice in the good health I am granted. And remembering brother @Brad Huber 's comments in a previous post .....shine a little light for Jesus in my working day.

Thank You Jesus for health and strength.....something so easy to take for granted.

I'm thanking God tonight for safe travels for my husband and I and my stepdaughter's family as we got together for a visit today, and for our two precious grandkids. They're the first kids whose lives I've been part of since their birth and it's a wonderful experience for me, by God's grace.

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Psalm 27:13

Sometimes we can all go through pretty rough tough patches
It can be hard to see the light

Thats where I am right now.......but I'll praise the Lord anyway

Are you ever burdened with a load of care
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.*

* From hymn Count your Blessings by Johnson Oatman 1897

It was a blessing to see a local police officer who was going above and beyond to help a homeless person the other day. By law, the best he could do was arrest the man for vagrancy, giving him a day or two of the jails warmth and some food, but he called in an ambulance and the EMT checked him over good, making sure he was okay health wise and then the officer fed him. He was a neighbor to this to man, a good Samaritan.

Come on brothers and sisters share a simple word of praise and thanksgiving.....it is such an upliting blessing to read posts of praise

Today I would like to thank the Lord for the provision of food that we are so blessed with in the developed world.
Here I have a full pantry and freezer.
So much choice, so much variety. So much we take for granted.

Take a look at the statistics and link below

  • Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth.
  • The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished.
  • Asia is the continent with the most hungry people - two thirds of the total. The percentage in southern Asia has fallen in recent years but in western Asia it has increased slightly.
  • Sub-Saharan Africa is the region with the highest prevalence (percentage of population) of hunger. One person in four there is undernourished.
  • Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year.
  • One out of six children -- roughly 100 million -- in developing countries is underweight.
  • One in four of the world's children are stunted. In developing countries the proportion can rise to one in three.
  • If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million.
  • 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone.
  • WFP calculates that US$3.2 billion is needed per year to reach all 66 million hungry school-age children.
World Hunger Statistics

Lord thank You for our food provisions.
May we realise how rich we are and learn not to complain and be disatisfied.
Give us a heart for the souls and bodies of the starving world and lead us to reach out in compassion
.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thank You, Lord, that You are in control of the weather patterns, in spite of the popular concern about ''global warming.'' Thank You for a break these past few years from the very cold late autumn/early winter I grew up with. Thank You that Your promises are true, and as such we know that "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." (Gen 8:22) Thank You for the sunshine that's brightening the short fall day today.

Greetings,

sometimes it's not only the big things but often the small that are worthy of praise.

for example, I found myself thanking Jesus this morning that we have so many good rags at present, because they make cleaning so much easier!

There's lots more, I know, but I wanted to share this little praise point, nonetheless.

Bless you ....><>

I love that song! A good reminder, too. I was thanking the Lord this morning for many of the same things others have expressed here.

My youngest granddaughter, who is not even 2, fell yesterday off a chair along with the chair and she has a fractured tibia in her left foot and is getting a cast put on, but it could have been a whole lot worse, so I am thankful that it wasn't worse.

Praying for your granddaughter, sister Sue.

I'd like to thank God for Proverbs 27:17 (KJV) and iron sharpening iron. Also, thank you brother @B-A-C for a thought-provoking exchange in your "Temple tax?" thread. We may have come to different conclusions, but God certainly had me searching the scriptures in a way that I haven't for quite a few months, really.

In future, as/if the Lord leads, I'll share a testimony of how the Lord brought me to uncompromisingly stand on the KJV as my final authority. As I've said several times before, I don't care what version anyone reads, and I also won't argue about it. I'm not the Holy Spirit, nor the fourth member of the Trinity. It's easier just to leave the thread. :)

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork.
Psalm 19:1

Thank You Lord for the glorious sunrise
The colours and richness You bring to the skies

Caught a little of todays wonderful sky on my phone camera....looking from the front door.

Praise the Lord

Its just like our Lord to bring us joy in the little things to take our minds off our burdens. We serve an awesome God!

Greetings,

may I add this video and song?
Thank you for encouraging us all to share our praise for the Lord.

Bless you ....><>

Laura, Thank you for your prayers.

Iron sharpening iron is a good thing. I learn a lot from other people, even if I disagree with them, and when I get challenged, it just sends me to the scriptures, too, and that is good, for then I grow even more in my understanding and realize, too, where I still need to grow.

Thank-you Heavenly Father!!!

Was busy this morning getting ready for work, and helping the wife set off to work as well......dropped her car keys and couldn't find them...so went searching...back to the house...and retraced my steps.....as I got near the wife car.......all of a sudden I hear my wife say pointing to the ground "here they are"!

That was a blessing! Yet, sometimes in what appears to be a blessing, a greater one is yet to be revealed!

So, we were both relieved and head off to our jobs. Long day at work, but a joyful one in giving God the Glory and even hearing from a lady who never talks of God, say "God Willing, see you tomorrow!" Which by the look on her face. I do believe that she surprised herself by saying those words. Normally, I'd be the one saying it :-)

That too was a blessing! Maybe, witnessing is starting to germinate that planted seed!!! However, that too, though a blessing to me, was not even a sign to what was to come!

On my way home it is now dark as the sun had just set.....So, I am almost home and I get a call from my wife. We live in a trailer park of which some would call a bit "seedy", and she tells me that she's waiting outside our house......the reason being is that the front door was wide open and she could see the light inside was on. She was afraid that........let's just say the worst had happened or was still happening!!!!

As she hung back and I headed to the door, it hit me on the head what had happened!!! Some of you might have already guessed this!! In retracing my steps in searching for the car keys in the morning, I had forgotten to go back to turn off the lights and close the door!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH Yet, as I headed into the house on a path to the front door, knowing my wife is feeling a bit fearful...somehow, I was not. There was a peace I felt as I stepped through the door. Looking around I could tell that nothing was gone even as I searched the whole house, to see if someone was hiding.....Still I was confident that God had covered this house I had prayed over, time and again, that I would find everything as I had left it. BLESSING!!!!

Thank-you Heavenly Father for covering my family and the home I live in. For being true to the Word that I placed in Concrete on the path to my front door:

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken [it]: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. 2 Samuel 7:29 KJV

All Glory and Honor and Praise to You who are not only my God, but God to my dear Brothers and Sisters here at Talk Jesus as well. Forever and Ever Amen!

Thank-you my brethren for allowing me to share me and my wife's blessing from God with you today.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
