Limited atonement !

Read some articles on Tulip for scripture. That scripture you just showed is one for limited atonement. Propitiation is salvation, and we know all are not saved unless you a universalist.

So you don't have any scripture to support this? No everyone is not saved, but everyone could be.

False statement

1Jn 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

2Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

1Tim 2:3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
1Tim 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Yet the Bible says otherwise.

Question to @Brightfame52

How does anyone know if they are saved? How do you know you are saved? You might be one that God picked not to be saved.
How would someone know? How do you know?

Believing the truth. And believing that Christ did for everyone is believing a lie
.. 2 Corinthians 5:15 states, "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again"

the answer to the question of WHO that group is mentioned in the first post of this thread is very simple. it's everyone who believes.

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Very simple, but the 'theology' has done an amazing job at obscuring the very simple truth even as stated;

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

This is why fellowship is so important, so that we can keep one another IN the truth together.

Thats the elect
If it says all, then why would all be some? This Word which comes from God in His Word says that He died for all. Not only for the elect, but for all.
All the elect, duh

And who are the elect exactly
Those whom God has chosen for Himself Mk 13 20

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen,
Eph 1:4

4According as he hath chosen[for Himself] us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

it says 'all,' and the reason it says 'all' is because God wants us ALL to grow up into the fullness of Christ

I think you're misunderstanding something.

I find the reading of the KJV rather clear on the topic of Christ's redemption of those given to him
out of the world, not a redemption for the whole world.

"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:19 KJV)

"As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him...I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word." (John 17:2, 6 KJV)

"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;" (Rev 5:9 KJV)

The Weymouth NT is an interesting read on this last verse:

"And now they sing a new song. "It is fitting," they say, "that Thou shouldst be the One to take the book And break its seals; Because Thou hast been offered in sacrifice, And hast purchased for God with Thine own blood Some out of every tribe and language and people and nation," (Rev 5:9 Weymouth)

That reads to me that Jesus redeemed those men given to him by the Father, and these were given "out of" the world. That is why it is a Particular Redemption or Definite Atonement, and it truly redeemed those for which it was intended, without fail.

All the chosen seed
Rom 4 16

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

The elect are those whose Hearts have been circumcised. Twisty is one of them. Can you see it in her? The love of God flows through her
