Must A Christain Be Perfect To Enter Into Heaven?

No one but Jesus entered heaven perfect! We are not perfect now and never will be in this physical world. If we could make ourselves perfect, what is there a need for Jesus.

You should always allow the Holy Spirit to convict you and try to improve when you think you have sinned. But to stay up with every sin you commit and do it 24/7, is impossible. What do you do when you sin and you didn't know it? I tell you God is absolute perfection, for instance, there is no negative or doub in his being. Negativity and doubt can not coexist with God. Are you ever doubtful about anything in your life or negative? Do you ask for forgiveness for each of those?

I am not talking about the "Nasty Five" or the "Dirty Dozen" but sin is sin; it is our imperfection that separates us from God.

Look, please understand that if you are "Born Again", it is the Holy Spirit that lives in you that seals your salvation with God. But, Paul himself said that we only know in part, meaning we only have the first fruits of the spirit; and we continue to sin to some degree.

And don't let some unbeliever say that if you don't make yourself "perfect" every day, then you don't care about sin! It's not that we don't look at our sin, we do but Grace is that God said he doesn't!

Go read Romans 7 and see what St. Paul said about his own sin, he certainly didn't die perfect!!! And then look at Roman 8:1 and see what Paul has to say about the outcome of his sin!!!

When you see sin in your life, thank the Holy Spirit for revealing it to you and thank Jeus for what he did on the cross.

Please remember this one last thing, the "Finality of The Cross"!

Jesus died one time for all sin and for all of us. If you ritually go to God every day and seek forgiveness, the Bible says that is like asking Jesus to die on the cross all over again and much to his public shame!!!...And that ain't going to happen!

Yes, we have to constantly work at allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal all sorts of things in our lives, including sin but, rest assured my friend, you are forgiven! When you die and go to heaven, God will take one look at you and see Jesus Christ living in you and then he will make you perfect!

By the way, God does not say anything about you being perfect but he does say that you are blameless, Holy and Righteous!

Go read Romans 7 and see what St. Paul said about his own sin, he certainly didn't die perfect!!! And then look at Roman 8:1 and see what Paul has to say about the outcome of his sin!!!

This is a well known, at leats I thought is was well known, this is a well known chapter where St. Paul describes his struggle with sin. And he then follows it with Ro 8:1. " For there is no condemnation for those in Jesus Christ."

No doubt we are called unto perfection, to strive to be perfect like Christ. There is no scripture that says that we become perfect in this life, on the contrary, the opposite is true:

Roman 13
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

St. Paul is stating that we are imperfect in this life but there will come a time, after we die, when our imperfection will leave and finally we achieve perfection and the full fruits of the Holy Spirit. At that time, we will look God in the face and know him perfectly. " Looking God in The Face" has a deep rooted meaning to the Jew and proves that we are not and can not be perfect in this life.

1Cr 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: Your taking the word perfect out of context from the KJV, does not mean perfect as in with out flaws or perfect as God, that only comes after physical death when we have the full power of the Holy Spirit in us. This perfect refers to the mature wisdom of a believer as apposed to a non-believer for which the gospel is folly.

Again, perfect here does not mean the perfect that you think, it means "mature" in our thinking, again a person who is indwelt with the Holy Spirit as apposed to some one who is not!

The use of perfect here as all your other references is the Greek term telos, which meant “ fully equipped for an assigned task i.e.
1 Broken limbs being healed and becoming useful again
2 Fishing nets being mended again and thereby being able to catch fish
3. The term “something used but in perfect condition
4.A common one: “Ships being fitted with ropes and sails and otherwise made ready for sea

I agree. Many people whom I know, believe that you can sin "on purpose" and then just ask for forgiveness later. How does that work? It's like saying to God you're going to kill someone but you know he is going to forgive you, or steal money and just again ask for forgiveness later and you're not really sorry about it.

I also believe that if you ask for forgiveness with a pure heart God will forgive you.

Yes, this drives non-believers and some others absolutely up the wall!! While still human and in the flesh, God calls us blameless, Holy and Righteous because when he looks upon us he does not see our sin but the perfection of Jesus Christ.
This is what makes our God unique above all others, in that he, in his devine and "perfect" wisdom created a path for us to be perfect and in his presence. Absolute perfection can not coexist with imperfection. The ancients knew and feared this since the time of Exodus. Look at Exodus 33: 18-23.

About the 3rd or 4th time that Moses had paid God a visit on Mt. Sinai, he just couldn't stand it any more and he asked God to show him his glory. This is the time that God made one of his famous quotes about himself: "No man can see my face and live".

The ancients feared this so much that the Highest Priest in the Temple; the only one who went into the innermost "Holy of Holies" during the 'Day of Atonement"....had a rope tied around his foot. This was just in case that if he died while behind the veil, he could be pulled out with out causing some other poor soul to perish.

Then look what Pauls says towards the end of the well known "Love Chapter in 1 COR 13:
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

This is when we die and go before God and we will finally see him "face to face", I can only imagine!!! This is the time that we will be filled with all the glory of the Holy Spirit and look, we will know God as fully as he knows us.

Yes, this drives non-believers and some others absolutely up the wall!! While still human and in the flesh, God calls us blameless, Holy and Righteous because when he looks upon us he does not see our sin but the perfection of Jesus Christ.
This is what makes our God unique above all others, in that he, in his devine and "perfect" wisdom created a path for us to be perfect and in his presence. Absolute perfection can not coexist with imperfection. The ancients knew and feared this since the time of Exodus. Look at Exodus 33: 18-23.
