Please stay on point with this. Here is an individual who we hope & pray will receive the words we share with them to his benefit, and to the Glory of God!
Bickering back and forth on a point of dogma/law when not introduced specifically as an expression to benefit the author of this thread does no good to him or to each other as presenting ourselves as Children of the Highest, and His representatives here in this world seeking to help those who need it and are crying out for help.

Okay so, I was born again at age 16 but I fell away for a while. I have legitimate chronic pain but when I slipped into running out of my Rx early, the Lord told me to stop taking it and switch to a natural pain control option that he would show me. I was too afraid of what my family and drs would think so I kept taking the Rx and running out early. Then I had a dream that said if I didn’t repent I would lose my salvation. So I tried my best to repent and stay on the stuff the Lord showed me. But when I have been in the hospital they give you regular medicine there and each time it’s been physically difficult to switch back. I have fallen a few times since I first tried to repent into drug seeking etc. but each time the lord accepted me back.

In November of 2022, I had a bad stomach infection and I was in the hospital for a few weeks. Even when I got home the natural option wouldn’t stay down. So without asking the Lord first, I got of suboxone which is used to treat drug addiction and dependence. The Lord told me to get off it and I’ve been trying to taper off since.
The spirit had been very quiet and I thought I had possibly committed the unforgivable sin making him leave me. So I researched it and found out I hadn’t (at that point). As a result of my research I concluded that it was, slandering Him or rebuking him.

I had also been praying very hard asking the Holy Spirit to help me repent and stop being so afraid of human options of my actions.

However, a few days after I was researching what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was, I was praying and trying to be quiet and hear God and suddenly the thought “ How dare you tell me what to do” came into my head. It doesn’t make sense that I would think that after just asking and asking and asking for the Holy Spirit to talk to me and to help me repent and get over my fear of peoples opinions. I’m so confused. I don’t think that could really have been me saying that. But God feels further away than ever. I haven’t slept in like 2 days. I feel like I’m making myself crazy. I know the Holy Spirit has every right to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do. If I didn’t want his guidance I could have just gone on doing my things without saying anything like that. I would never even dream of being that disrespectful but it was like I was watching myself think it in a time of silent prayer. I honestly don’t know if it was some dark side of myself or something totally intrusive. I know I need to hear from the lord about whether I’m still his child or not. I haven’t slept in like 2 days. I keep looking for reassurance but nothing is helping.

In rereading your letter,

It is common for people at a young age "16" to become a child of God and shortly thereafter "fall out of grace". As the temptations of the world can seem overwhelming without good family support.

I say that, as you stated being in the hospital, you were afraid to approach your family on what the Lord was telling you.

What is see, "the dream" the darkness stepping in, using your fears against you. (They do that to everyone) It is kind of like the devil telling eve it was ok to take the fruit.

The "how dare you tell me what to do" comment, is not the Lord. .
At least in my heart, i do not have God's peace with it.

If i may suggest. 1st, once you have been baptized, it is very difficult to become "rejected" by God, when you are sincere from your heart.

2, become quiet with the Lord. Ask the Lord to fill you with His love

3 learn to love God, and ask Him to show you how to fall deeper in Love with Him

I believe God can heal and will if it’s his will.
But he is not a genie in a bottle and will not heal every sickness.
You are going to die from something someday.
You faith healers believe that if a person is not healed or dies,it because they didn’t have faith.
I am not actually calling you personally a faith healer, just pointing out,all those great faithful people of the bible,are dead.
And yes, I believe the signs of the Apostles ended with the Apostles

Reminds me of the story of the man, who had charge of one of the Budweiser Clydesdale Stables. One of his horses became seriously ill, and the handler called Ern Baxter (a Charismatic teacher) to pray with him that the Horse would be healed. Subsequently the Horse immediately rallied, and in a day or so was back to normal.

Baxter was attacked, by some "theological experts", that felt that praying for a horse was non-scriptural, and PARTICULARLY a horse belonging to a beer company!!!

Baxter's answer was: "If you don't believe in praying for horses, then just let your horse die". Problem solved.

Personally, I'm dying of Coronary Artery disease, and Congestive heart failure. I belong to a denomination that believes and teaches that ALL THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS are still active in 2024 just as they were in 36 AD.

I believe that ALL THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS listed in 1 Cor 12 are still present in the Church in 2024, and that Christians are as likely to be burdened to do supernatural Gifts in 2024, as they were in 36 AD.

I've witnessed and heard reports of any number of people who have BEEN HEALED of many things up to and including physical death. And I've been prayed for many times for healing of the conditions that I live with. The Doctors back in 1992 suggested that with my condition, I'd probably last until 2004 (so the joke's on them).

BUT I HAVE NO FAITH WHATSOEVER that God has any intention of eliminating my physical conditions. And I also know that what's "CALLED FAITH" in Churches, often bears no similarity to BIBLICAL FAITH at all, since it has NO SUBSTANCE, and is EVIDENCE of nothing at all (Heb 11:1). Basically it's nothing but "Intellectual assent" (belief).

I Also know that Biblical FAITH starts with HEARING GOD (Rom 10:17, Gal 3:5). So in the meantime, I'll simply "Occupy till he comes", and if physical DEATH comes for me first, that's O.K. This afternoon would be fine.

Bottom line: If I'm never "Healed", Healing is still in the atonement, and in 2024, God STILL HEALS People's physical issues, and GIFTS people to minister the gifts like HE always has..

But we can’t count on that. Condition of our soul is where our concern lies.
To go on and be with the Lord,or be healed and live to go through some other trauma.
It all depends on the attitude of the person.

Not so much the person's "Attitude" as according to God's plan. Jeremiah had a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE, but he was greatly used anyway.

Of couse God's healings are unlimited. We only limit God when we think He can not do something.

There are all sorts of physical and spiritual sickness. Pollution is another kind of sickness. The sin of the world is another. And these also effect everyone.

You are right though, God is not a genie in a bottle.
