Jesus pointed out very graphically that we humans cannot judge with certainty whether or not another person is saved. In explaining The Parable of the Sower, He said: "Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. But, since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away." (Mk 4:16-17) They look good and smell good. They go to church a lot. they say all the right things. They join small groups and serve on church committees. But, when they are tested, they fall away; their "house" is built on sand.

"The lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (1 Sam 16:7b)

I believe we can lose our salvation. We can get saved and then live like we want too. It's God's way or the highway I was once told by a dear saint. Because for many years I did it my way and it didn't work. Then I surrended to God everything and it is His way now...
Also do not believe in being backslidden state either. You are either serving the one true Living God or you are not. There is no grey area in this matter..

If you obtain salvation by your works, you can maintain salvation by your works; but if salvation came by grace and the love and will of the Lord, He not you or anybody else will decide whether or not you can continue in His grace and love.
None of us have the right or authority to put limits on His love and grace and draw lines for ourselves or others as to how/when/where we will fall out of the grace. Since obtaining grace is not a function of our good works, loosing it is not a function of our bad works either.
Backsliding is very much a sad part of the christian life. It simply means allowing a lifestyle (not instances) of worldliness rather than Godliness to dominate yourself. Recanting on Jesus maybe just one extreme part of this, but living in worldliness is the more usual manifestation. The majority of 1 Corinthians is written to point out and set right the various ways this backsliding happens - yet nowhere in 1 & 2 Corinthians is it said that those who have not measured up to the grace of God are no longer part of His Bride or Body.
This magnanimity & magnitude of God's grace and restoring love does not in anyway give us the licencse to live a life of sin and waywardness after our being saved, nor does He condone and turn a blind eye to it - the consequences of God's displeasure at this are very much there and those who have backsliden do suffer them. But whenever the backsliden ones have turned back to God, like the father of the prodigal son, He has come running out to welcome them back and restore them in His house.
Also, while it is true that you can either be serving God or not and there is no grey area in this matter, this does not per se mean that God shuts the doors of heaven on those who stop working for Him.
Again, please don't put contrived limits on His love and grace and ascribe actions to Him that are alien to His nature and ways.

P.S. Rizen1 - I have no idea whatsoever about what Calvinism or Armenianism etc. mean. What I share is what God has taught me in my time with Him and His word. I am not a theologist or Bible school/seminary trained person.

I am a firm believer that once you are saved you are always saved. Many people have different views on this subject. Whenever a person is born again of the spirit they are forever born again. So once a child of God always a child of God.

John 6:40 "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." KJV

Here God is saying that if you believe in His son that you will forever be a child of God. I also believe that a child of God would not just stop believing in him.

Remember with God all things are possible

One night years ago i awoke to see an old lady stand not far from my bad. I said say JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. She did not answer , I said ? GET out in the name of JESUS CHRIST. it walked right though the door!

This of course as an evil spirit. We either have evil spirits or righteous spirits.

It is all about our spirit.

We are All spirits first!
And we battle spirits. demons are spirit beings. GOD is a Spirit, We are a spirit!
Our battle is not against flesh and blood . It is against the spirit with in the person or NOT.

We are either bound spiritually or NOT.
We are either GODS children by our spirit or not!

the only difference between us and those of the world are our spirit!

Our lives here are a spiritual type life. but we are dwelling in flesh a short time!
Everyone cannot say JESUS CHRIST is LORD. I did a test many years ago and walked around asking others would they do something for me. Almost all said yes. I asked them to just say? Jesus Christ is LORD!
Most could! But a good number Could NOT!
Some got very mad as they were unable to say this !

This of course does not show salvation. but it does show they have a love or feeling toward our LORD over evil!

The only way we could really know a person who has salvation is if we could see there spirit or if the HOLY GHOST reveals this Great Truth


of course the bible teaches us we will know them by there fruits.

What I meant was we are to try to live Holy just as He is Holy.. There is a highway we are supposed to walk on that highway is the "highway of Holiness" And this is Biblical... I see so many who say they are saved and live like satan's workers. But, they believe they are going to heaven. No, I can not judge if a person is saved or not, but I can judge the fruit. We are told in the Bible we judge inside the body of believers but, not outside that is God's job. Do you mean askd, that you are saved and can live anyway you feel like it. The path is a narrow and few be that find it. I have found the longer I walk with the Lord, the path gets narrower. You see God said we are made in His Son's image so I believe we are to walk and act like Jesus. We are Jesus's hands and feet in the dark world. That means going out to reach the lost, and if I am not living what I am saying then people will not listen to Him who send me...
Do I wake up every morning and wonder if I have lost my salvation no I do not. But, I know I can keep on sinning against my Lord and called myself saved. Yes, if I keep on sinning and know it is sin then yes I can lose my salvation. He is coming back for a spotless bride...

Not being smart. I thank GOD, I do not know life to be that kind of FEAR!

I have NO fear of losing salvation, One 100% faith in my LORD carrying me though. Sin , i hate it, I do not Want to do anything that displeases my Father GOD!


1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

The LORD keeps HIS children, no one can take us from HIM. We give HIm our selfs , Then trust in HIM to finish the job in us He started!

This iis no win and lose game. This is very serious, much more than the battle for mankind as Every angel and Creature GOD has ever CREATED is watching to see how this plays out!

Second? we are Spirit ,soul and body. All scripture is Not toward any one part of our being!

Sister, there is none that lives good enough to keep their selves saved. We are all bad and we all deserve Hell. It is not how we live that gets us to Heaven. We will never be completely obedient to God here on earth. God is in control of our salvation, not us.

Amen sister, we need to be Christ like, not attend church sunday, bible study in the week and spend our nights doing things Jesus would not approve of. Saying words and singing songs that would never enter Jesus mouth.

If someone who is saved, falls and never get up, gets into the occult and remained saved goes to heaven, thats God's grace.

But I choose not to put my life and soul in Jeporady to take that chance of security. But I will try to continue in my walk, fix my eyes on my goal to enter Heaven's gate.

Please dont reply saying, a person who is saved could never turn their back on God.
Because guess what when you sit in the dark entertaining your sin, your back is against God.

Once we are saved we are ALWAYS....

Salvation is not just believing in Christ and what he's done for us, but also repenting for your sins. A willingness to turn away from sin and follow Christ. This doesn't mean we will never sin again, just that we are truly sorry for our sins against God. And we have a willingness to follow in Christ's footsteps. If we could live without sin, then we could keep the law of God, and there would not have been a need for Jesus to walk a perfect life, defeat sin and death, raise from the dead, and take his seat with God in heaven to prepare a home for me. I thank God evbery day that I am washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. That when God passes judgement and he looks at me, he no longer sees my sinful nature, simply the blood of his son, Jesus Christ.
