Many do not understand salvation , then will live in doubt!
Salvation is a New Creature , A heavenly being, Which cannot sin, nor will ever!
Our New Creature has the mind of Christ from its beginning!it is Nothing like our weak fleshly being or mind!
It is perfect and kept by the Holy Ghost!It hates these bodies and groans to our Father God to be released from this evil flesh!
We cannot compared our New Spirit to this body or the mind our body has!
Salvation is a Perfect gift!Meaning it cannot be Lost or Taken.
satan longs to plant seeds of doubt in us!
You see we will live doubtful lives here until we know the Truth!Then we Live the lifes KINGS and PRIESTS should live!
We are Declared More than Conquerors By GOD Himself and it cannot be Changed!But Doubt can keep us from seeing it!

There are plenty of false converts out there that think they are saved. My mom thinks she is saved because she reads the bible (sometimes) and prays (sometimes). I have tried to explain it to her. There was no repentance, no confessing of sins. Will she go to heaven? I have my doubts.

God looks at our hearts and knows who is truly saved. He knew before the creation who would be saved. This does not absolve us from repenting and TURNING AWAY from our sins; every day we must ask God to examine us and illuminate our sins (the ones we can't see- those planks in our eyes- Luke 6:42), as well as the sins we have noticed in ourselves. Just when you think you've got one sin under "control", another will pop up in it's place. Repentance is a daily thing.

We are supposed to be on watch all the time. We do not know when Jesus is coming back to get us.

yes the bible say jesus is married to the backslider, and yes his grace is suffiencent for all, and yes he will forgive us of all sin execpt blaspheme of the holy spirit. BUT, 2 Peter 2:20-22 explain to us clearly if somebody who know the way and turn from the truth of God, it would better if he never know at all. Think about it, if you are saved no matter what, than the purpose of the church is futile and we should all do as the world does.

Yes we are saved by our faith but the scripture says faith without deeds is dead.
We are saved instantly when we confess him as our Lord and savior, but holiness ,we have to work on daily.


If we follow this, we wouldn't have to worry about going to hell, that's my thought.

And every time I've seen it answered, the consensus is that at the moment of salvation you're forever secure and have no more need to do anything else until you're raptured or you pass. Jesus did die for all our past present and future sins. His sacrifice was eternal. We are new creatures in Christ but we still have the old flesh and will have it till Jesus returns.

yes we still have the old flesh but that does not give us a license to feed the flesh. if we feed the flesh then we are no longer communed with god. we still have to repent. the one time prayer after a pastor and that is it is so wrong. the apostles all did things and stated things wrong. but the repented of it.

GOD is A spirit and All His children are Holy heavenly Spirit beings! We are just trapped in earthly bodies a short time!

so why are so many claiming christians out there living like the devil all week and then showing up and even holding leadership positions in the churches. the bible also states that many will be over come by seducing spirits. it also states that many will step away from their faith.

there are many others that claim the same stuff. does this mean that they are still saved. christ states those that endure to the end shall be saved.

Think of the nature of eternal life, gained for the believer at immense cost by the Lord Jesus dying at the Cross.

The eternal life referred to at John 3,16 and many other passages is..eternal. If someone says they don't have it but used to have it, whatever it was that they had wasn't eternal, only temporary.

If, however we depend on the work of Christ at the Cross for eternal life PLUS our efforts, then, again, what we have isn't eternal life, because it's 'not of works, lest any man should boast' (Ephesians 2.9).

But Paul makes it clear that we should not sin, that grace may abound.

Once you are saved, can you fall away and no longer be saved?

There are a few scriptures that deal with this issue very well.

First, there is Galatians 5:4:
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
What happened to those who were justifying themselves by the Old Law of the OT? They were "fallen from grace", implying they were once in grace and fell away.

Second, there is Hebrews 10:26:
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.
Pretty self-explanatory there... "we" is referring to Christians here...no more sacrifice for those Christians who decide to turn back to a sinful life...

Third, there is Hebrews 6:4-6:
4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
This passage is referring to Christians who have tasted the good things in life, but shall fall away if they do not repent.

A fourth is 2 Peter 2:20-21. These verses teach that when a Christian becomes entangled back into the world again, his last state is worse than his first.

Lastly, don't forget the prodigal son that Jesus taught about. This boy left his father (representing one who leaves God the Father and turns to a life of sin). And when the boy decides to return, the father (God) welcomes the son (the sinner who fell away) back with open arms.

At the end of Jesus's parable the son who was with the father all along asks why we should celebrate when the other son had gone into a life of sin. The father (God) answers in Luke 15:32:
It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.
The son was dead and is ALIVE AGAIN. This means he was once alive, DIED, and is ALIVE AGAIN...

Can a Christian be saved, no longer be saved, and then be saved again?.... The scriptures teach this. So why would anyone believe once saved, always saved?

If you have a reply that can rebuke the scriptures I have given feel free. But don't give scriptures out of context that would make the Bible look like it contradicts itself. We must use the Bible in its entirety to make conclusions. The Bible NEVER contradicts itself. So make sure your verses are being used in context please

The scary verse

What is Hebrews 6:4-6: Saying?

5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh...

(Did it say renew them again unto salvation? no.) Let me give it a go on what was meant in that ole scary verse.

Two friends were told by God that everything in the 7 eleven store is free because he paid for it. The two friends go into the store and just get two sodas, freely. On the way out one friend thinks to himself this is not right I should have to pay for this free soda, while the other friend goes outside resting on Gods promise of the free soda. The other friend pulls out his money, works, and wants to pay for his soda, he is not resting on the promises of God. Does he negate what God has said? Yes. Does he now live by his works of righteousness? Yes. Is he tossing the standard of repentance out the window with his wanting to pay for the free gift? Yes. Will he know "if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins." He, the one who wants to buy the free soda is now confusing his walk in grace through Christ Jesus with his action of owing and working for the grace applied to his account already.
Think this through asking God for wisdom and this verse will no longer be scary but a loving reminder of the grace you posses through Jesus Christ. The way the Father wants us to live. In loving adoration of his Son Jesus Christ, he dying for ones such as us, and the grace that comes with an relationship through him in knowing God. John 3:16
