"Paul did not know about modern homosexuals and loving gay marriages"

The word for "homosexual" that is used in the NT is 'Arsenokoitai'. The Apostles used the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament. The Greek translation of the Leviticus passages condemns a man (arseno) lying with (koitai) another man (arseno). Paul joins these two words together into a neologism, a new word, and thus he condemns in 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy what was condemned in Leviticus.

We know that in Leviticus this sin (arsenokoitai) (a man lying with a man) is one of the view sins that are so serious as to command the death penalty.

God lets us know in the NT that this law is still in effect, by stressing it over and over again.

You are right to point out the idolatry which leads to homosexuality, which is spoken of in Romans. Homosexuals are engaged in gender narcissism, blatant idolatry, which causes their perversion.

(I know, i used to be one)

So, did I misunderstand kiwimacahau?

If I did, I apologize!

In reply to the quote above that says that GOD is the same yesterday, today, and forever...

Ummm, excuse me, but the Bible says that JESUS is the same yesterday, today and forever. You are misusing your quote. This is often done to confuse Old Testament law given under the Old Covenant with New Testament law given by Christ under the new covenant. And, yes homosexuality is still a sin, and yet the Gospels do not record Jesus as saying this. Still, the Apostles that lived with Him taught this, so it is assumed that Jesus taught them these lessons.

Amen, and such folk tend to conveniently ignore the fact that the New Testament is also God's word---not Paul's word.

Jesus did not say anything about kidnapping either. Nor did Jesus say anything about rape. Jesus did not condemn pedophilia, or bestiality, and He did not condemn many sins. Why? Because He didn't have to... certain things are just obvious. And back then, to the Jewish audience He was speaking to, it was just obvious that homosexuality was a very serous sin. After all, they had been commanded by God to stone homosexuals to death.

Exactly. Not only that, but because of the terrible penalty and the shame of it, it would have been something one would keep hidden. So, the culture we have today is in-your-face sin, reminiscent of the depraved behaviour so openly accepted in Sodom and Gomorrah. People generally go about their sinning without the shame it should engender. This is a sign of the times, for sure.

I am so concerned about these times. I especially warn my children and talked to my grandchildren when it is appropriate about how things are going to continue to deteriorate in the coming years. The church and Christianity is constantly on attack from the progressive left, not to mention the ever increasing presence by Muslim Extremists. I talk to them all about staying strong in the word and to be familiar with the coming end times. We all have to ban together like the Brothers and Sisters that we are in the Lord...we must stick together as one body a speak the truth!

I agree wholeheartedly! My motto in life is "No Compromise" and that is what I have handed down to my children. My prayer is that they will develop the same resoluteness that the early Church did in their faith in Jesus Christ, so that when the enemy strikes hard, they will remain solidly following Jesus Christ, no matter what. Jesus is our protector and He is our conquering King. Remember the three boys cast into the raging furnace and came out without a singed hair or the smell of smoke, and the apostle John who was boiled in oil and survived, and that frightened his oppressors so much they banished him, and it was then that the Lord Jesus presented him with a marvelous vision and revelation for us!
