Pre-trib Rapture: A popular but false doctrine

Jesus refers to John the Baptist as Elijah and Paul refers to himself a few times as the witness of God. So yes, i say it with authority of Scripture.
Thanks, we both know that Elijah must come first. John the Baptist was the Elijah AT HIS TIME, God’s appointed time for Jesus to be born, his job was to “prepare the way” for the Savior. At the end times, however, somebody else will fulfill that role, which is not necessarily a resurrected John the Baptist.

I know Elijah well, you would like him too, once you get a handle on your spiritual gifts.

The person at the end times is not the person, Elijah, but another person with the spirit of Elijah.

Btw, why would i go read about him, when i can just talk with him? Don't you go talk with the author of a book, or the person a book is written about, if you can. Versus reading about them?
Good for you, brother. Speaking of the spirit, all I know is that the spirit utilizes whatever sources available in my life to reveal God’s truth to me, among these sources is the story of the original Elijah in 2 Kings.

I really wish, John, that you were in my shoes. And i am not trying to "one up" you, nor being a smart alleck.

You would trully understand the loneliness in a world full of your brothers and sisters.

Understand when i say, can not wait for you to come into your fulness spiritually.

Understand my frustration here so often at Talk Jesus.

You would just understand.

You would understand what it trully means to be God's Witness.

You'd better believe its escapism....Jesus promised we'd escape the wrath to come if we walked in His anointing! But escapism is not spoken of in the bible....Like so many other things you throw out because the bible says nothing about
Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I live in Michigan, the north.

This reminds me of the time i was moving some stamping presses from Windsor Ontario, to Montgomery, Alabama. They were going to a KIA plant.

There was a Korean engineer speeking broken english at Windsor while loading. And although rough, i could understand him. But unfortunately for us, the Korean engineer in Montgomery had also picked up a southern drawl. Talk about having a rough time understanding him.

Twistie, if you would be so kind. Please explain what it means quickeneth. I am unsure.

Thank you

Please explain what it means quickeneth. I am unsure.

There is an old phrase in the western US. The quick and the dead. It simply means alive or dead. ( 1Pet 4:5; )

[KJV]
John 5:21; For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
John 6:63; It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

[NASB]
John 5:21; "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
John 6:63; "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

This is referring to the RESURRECTION of the church. That "mystery" is the "dry bones to armies" in Ezekiel's prophecy, also mentioned in Daniel 12.

LOL , that is even worse. The King James Version of John 5:21 would drive me nuts, what you wrote there makes no sense at all. Now I understand that's in my mind I'm like completely lost. Thank God for Twistie!!! I would never have understood based on what you have written.

Thank you for coming to my rescue. And thank you for that simple explanation, because it makes a lot of sense

The tongue of God as it is written. . the power of both, but one is a quicking source. Quicken. . .in the twinkling of a eye = To bring to life.

The other = death destruction . . . . dying .
