Hi Brad,You are making suppositions and assumptions about the nature of the rich man, and about your ability to avoid the pitfalls that come with wealth. And how do you come by this wealth? I see "how" people, to include people who claim Christ get ahead of their peers, and there is nothing godly about it. The people who get ahead in life without stepping on others along the way, usually do it through creativity and ingenuity. Do you have these qualities in abundance and the motivation to do it for the "right" reasons? Would you be willing to give it all up if Jesus asked "you" to do it, after all your hard work?
Nor sir there is no assumptions about the rich man - I have learned this and more over many, many years of study in this area. God is awesome about that. He will lead you to those He wants you to listen to when He is wanting to broaden your understanding.
Sir I see where you are coming from and it is no where near what I or others are talking about. You are speaking from the traditional human way of getting wealth. I and others are not. It is not us working or stepping over or on others to gain anything sir. It is God given through many different ways.
So if you use the world system or way of getting wealth and compare it to Godly wealth then you will have a big clash right there and we can see it in this thread.
The blessing of the Lord maketh you rich and adds no sorrow to it. Sorrow here in the written word of God is Toil which means struggle. See that is just it sir - we dont struggle or work for gain or riches. We can do nothing on our own. Obtw - that is also found in your proverbs....10:22
You asked are you willing to give it all up if Jesus asked ? Brad the answer is always going to be yes.
See sir when you get over here in the blessing realm or way of things you no longer think like most people do about "things" including money. We are givers - so we find great peace and love and joy in ALL of our giving. We do not get gain as to store up for our selves. Now then do not muzzel an ox - remember that one ? Meaning who does not get their share ? See God makes sure you have plenty left over for your self AND yet give in such a way it would make most gringe.
This also takes developing your faith walk or walking by faith. God will teach you to depend on Him for everything - big and small - many fail during this time.
Ok back to your question. Yes sir I would and have many times over.......
Here is a little one simply for example - God placed on my heart to give one of my tv's to a lady who just had her tv quit on her. I did with out even thinking twice. A week later my tv dies..........the devil was on my case to grumble and blame God and so forth. Nope not in my house. We praised God and prayed over the cd player and began listening to the word of God via cd's.
We cleaned off the stand and prayed and asked God to fill it. Aweek Later a lady clean across the country called us and had said she sent us her new second tv. She hoped it would not be to small. Now for this lady to do so is an act of God. belive me. lol Tv arives.............too small ? OMG it is a 32 flat screen smart tv.
Why did I write this - because if I would have grumbled or allowed my family to get upset or offended and in strife or simply had not obeyed and given the other tv away. Well I would still be listening to cd's and looking at an empty stand.............if God says Give that one to so and so............Yes sir - do you want this done right now or when and how......
Brad this is a life of a giver..........All of us born again beleivers should be blessed beyond what you could imangine and be the ones supplying and filling need. Cant do that on just get by bank account now can you.
I hope you know I am not trying to belittle you or hastle you or change you. I am simply defending the truth and brinnging it to the table. BLessed - cursed - poor or rich - that is up to you and not my job to condemn you or change you brother - my Job is simply to LOVE ya which I do.
God Bless Brad and have a very Blessed and Joyful Thanksgiving........save some turkey ( if this is what you are having) for the next day...... lol
