What makes you think the Holy Spirit would leave you, a born again believer?
Here's what's happening...
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
then...
2 Timothy 3
3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The Holy Spirit will never leave you, nor forsake you.
In 2 timothy 3, we are given the clearest insight into what godlessness pushes the restrainer, the Holy Spirit away, through the works of iniquity. In this is the spirit of error, rather than the Spirit of Truth.
Remember, we walk by faith, not by sight.
When I first heard of the term rapture, and saw what it represented, the thought came to me that it must be when someone believes & is born again. I could not come to God our Father except through Jesus, and by faith; not that of my own, but of God's Will.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
I was saved by His grace, not that of my own; I was delivered from the kingdom of darkness, and translated into the Kingdom of our Beloved:
Colossians 1:13-20
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
2 Corinthians 5:7
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
Lastly,
the scripture is for:
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
I am born again, delivered from the kingdom of darkness, translated into the Kingdom of our Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus, the Son of God, and am being thoroughly equipped and furnished for all good works in & for Jesus Christ our Lord & the Body of Christ & for the lost to be found, and likewise saved; I am already dwelling in Heaven, though I am living out an earthly life, and am being fully equipped to faithfully carry out God's Will with all manners of good works.
... I don't want to be raptured. I'm in the perfect position for Christ to work through me for the salvation of men. All of the scripture points to our salvation, through reconciliation with our Father, and then Jesus Himself equips us for all good works so that we can carry out God's Will on Earth, bringing reconciliation (Heaven) to Earth as God intended from day 1 of Jesus' ascension into Heaven. We're not here to be removed from the earth before it's destroyed... but to do good works in the faith, that it doesn't get destroyed through wickedness..
