So tired of Christians not knowing what a Christian is!

Really? And after the very scriptural (words of He that saves) dressing down he did on you. It was so righteous it also stung me!
Sorry Bill, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. (I really don't.)

Have a good day, (and put some salve on that sting).
Rhema

Oh dear Rhema, such sophistry and pettifogging are unbecoming a child of God. How you do "like" to debate; it's such a foul spirit. Do not despair, as the King of kings is faithful and just to rid you of it, if only you'll confess it and turn (repent) from it (1 John 1:9).

Your description seemed to come from a personal perspective, as most RV'er types are enamored of their liberty and are quick to express it. And I am one such traveler. I have three home birthed and homeschooled daughters, completely unpapered, and we love the lifestyle (and we're not renters). God is good!

Preacher man and a motor home. Sounds familiar! Did he claim to be Christian, or rather a follower of Jesus Christ?
So when Jesus says "this is my body" You are saying He really doesn't mean " this is my body " , based on what you just got done saying.

And a person that believes in Jesus would not be considered a believer, and a follower of Jesus teaching would not be called a Christian ( although Jesus was called " the Christ" and the form of teaching based on Jesus teachings would not be called Christianity. Interesting.

So by your interpretation, so what is the way you would call a person who acceps Jesus teachings?

And what would you call those who follow Him?

And what would you call the form of teaching Jesus taught?

And why would your terms be more accurate than someone elses?

Like your cite says, "fakebuddhaquotes dot com". IOW, the monk never said it. It's a very common phrase, offered here for the benefit of the less well-read, and certainly wasn't copyrighted when I first posted it on our website back in the 1980's. Try again.

So by your interpretation, so what is the way you would call a person who acceps Jesus teachings?
It's a no-brainer. What was one called in the Holy Bible? Christ never called himself a Christian, Christ never called his followers Christians. The apostles never called each other Christians.

And what would you call those who follow Him?
What were they called in the Holy Bible? The disciples called each other, "brethren", "disciples", "apostles", "servants", "believers", "followers", "the faithful", "the elect", "the called", and "saints." We can also identify ourselves as "bondservants" of Christ.

And what would you call the form of teaching Jesus taught?
"form of teaching"??? Sounds humanistic and very unlike Jesus.

And why would your terms be more accurate than someone elses?
They're not my terms. What saith the Holy Bible?

May the Lord Jesus bless us, keep us in His love and fill us with His wisdom.

It is very clear in my heart, Pres. Trump will be killed in his second term as President. I also have a strong impression ( via the Holy Spirit ) it will happen in the springtime ( but i do not know the year) also i feel ( via the Holy Spirit) his death will take place in the Oval Office.

Is this clear enough for you.

Along with this. I have these prophecies.

1) there will be a song on the radio, a real toe Tapper. Many people will really enjoy the song. It will not be focused on God or one thing or another just a good tune. However the author of this song will be considered the new Amadeus, the new Beethoven and many people say the same thing. This song will be on at least four different genres of music.
2) not too soon after the song becomes very popular, there will be a large army that will move from the north down into Israel it will go through Turkey as it does so. Everyone will know the focus of this Army, but no one will stop it. As they come on, stepping into Israel. A number of different things will take place. There will be a great earthquake, the likes the world has never seen before. The Sun will experience something, I can't quite explain it. But very soon after the Great Day of the Lord will take place.

All these things do not matter, as Christians do not see Christian in any of these prophecies. But whoever told God that it has to be Christian to be a prophecy of God

Bill, I asked you in post #123 to please take this kind of chat to another thread. This is a lengthy post raising issues that have absolutely nothing to do with a thread about a very important topic.

I would like to discuss these prophecies. Create a new thread.

@Dave M , God's Love always.

How do you distinguish between God telling you and the Holy Spirit telling you?

I recognize the voice of the Father, and I can recognize the difference between the Father and Jesus when they speak to me. And I can recognize the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Also none of the above have condescending messages, that is the message I get from the Holy Spirit is not different from the message that I get from the Father.

And how can I, a Catholic of all things, actually hear the voice of God.

Silly people, lol

Bill God bless you in Jesus name, Good for you on all accounts ! and praise Jesus my Lord and savior, king of kings.

I do not need to distinguish my friend, they are one, and instructions from The Holy spirit will be of God. For Jesus and the holly spirit only say what God tells them to say.

Keep in mind no one will know anything from the Father with out the spirit of truth in them.

Seems you are out to prove something, you win, your the best.

Me a lowly man who needs God and am not worthy of him, yet he shows me mercy and grace and leads and guides me every day !! Praise God! and thank you Lord God for your Holy spirit !!

Be blessed

John 12:49-50

For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”

understand that Jesus and Father God are one ! and Jesus will not say anything that God has not told him.

God's Peace to you old friend,

My responce has nothing to do with who is better, it had to do with your comment.

"I asked you did God lay that on your heart, or did you actually hear God's Voice, "

Which of these is greater?

I hear everything internally from God, as God speaks to my heart.

The Lord once told me, the most important thing I had to learn was to recognize His peace in my heart.

I know you understand this for yourself, as you follow your heart. God is there.

Why then is it difficult to believe God speaks to others, through thier heart.

Just because i tell you, I can distinguish between who's talking, the point is that they are all One God and they do not contradict each other.

The Holy Spirit always urges me to be with the Father. But my dialogue is almost always with the Father.

I answered them in post #143.
Jesus hear us.

Your answer in 143 was not for me, i never brought up Buddha.

These were my questions i asked you. It was based on your comments in #138.

In my post, #143, the first comment was a reply to Rhema. The rest were replies to you. Here they are again:

"form of teaching"??? Sounds humanistic and very unlike Jesus.

And why would your terms be more accurate than someone elses?
They're not my terms. What saith the Holy Bible?

I love how you avoid the answers.

I didn't ask what Jesus called them, I asked what YOU called them.

When YOU are trying to explain scripture to someone else, how do YOU refer to them? What is YOUR term for them?

I call them the same as what Jesus calls them as per the Holy Bible.

I have even seen people manifest at the mention of Jesus. Fact is, in the Holy Bible, you will never find a man of God calling another man of God, "Christian."
This is not true:

Acts 11:25-30

Believers are called “Christians” for the first time

25-26 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to find Saul. When he found him he brought him up to Antioch. Then for a whole year they met together with the Church and taught a large crowd. It was in Antioch that the disciples were first given the name of “Christians”.

Brother or Sister in Christ Jesus is what I called fellow believers/followers of Christ Jesus.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
