Whats your definition of an Apostle?

An apostle is one who is CHOSEN, CALLED, and SENT, and TAUGHT by Jesus and not by any other human, and able to do MANY MIRACLES and helped lay the foundation. .
You learned your beliefs from men and women. We have all heard the gospel from the Bible.
There are no more Apostles, for we all learn from what has already been written.

There are no more Apostles. The gospel has been taught, the foundation has been laid, and the sign has been given.

I have been told by the Lord what to do and what to say to a particular person and sent to do so.

I am only saying that nothing has changed since the beginning, as to you saying things have changed but there is no reason to suggest anything has changed for the "church age"
is still in progress.
People are still being chosen by the Father and subsequently baptized in the Holy Ghost and with fire by Jesus. So why again should one part change while the rest is still happening?

A person must watch their doctrine and life closely.

As for being baptized with fire by Jesus, it is about the fire those NOT saved will experience.

John is speaking about the fire those NOT saved will experience.

Immediately after John tells us about Jesus baptizing with fire---he speaks of those not saved being put in the lake of fire

I am taught by Jesus, he is my Teacher. However, I first learned of God's Word by the Bible, not by Jesus first. No one is taught by Jesus first anymore, only the Apostles were. We already have the words from God taught to us from the scriptures already written.

The believers in the Bible times who spoke in tongues, they spoke in tongues supernaturally. The believers who supposedly speak in tongues nowadays, they speak gibberish and believe God turns their gibberish into supernatural language, and that is a false doctrine.

You are merely attempting to justify your backsliding.

Repent and get back to praying in tongues - activate the power and purpose of God's Spirit within you.

Tongues were for a sign to the Jews, it is understood by people in real earthly languages. The sign to the Jews has been given. Speaking in tongues is NOT for believers, but for unbelievers. The sign has been given a long time ago.

Go in the morgues and hospitals and prove it.
No one is getting raised from the dead after four days, and no one born blind is given sight, and no one born paralyzed can walk. There is no such thing as tongues and prophecies anymore, they have ceased, and there are no more Apostles.

The warning were given beforehand .The perfect or complete book of prophecy had come the closing chapter or book (Revelation ) along with it a warning to those who seek after a sign to wonder after before they would beleive in a God not seen .The warning remains we are not to add or substract from the whole. Revelation is still the closing chapter sealed with seven seals till the end of time . Satan still has all power in lying wonders that can deceive and deny the law sealed with seven seals. You could say Satan calls it a lie just like the fall you will not die.

In that way believers can hear prophecy or the understanding coming from God and yoked with Christ they can finish the work making our load lighter with a living hope.

It would seem the elect hear the prophecy and are empowered to produce the fruit not to add or subtract from the whole or perfect.

The perfect already came. Jesus is the perfect that came the first time, and the scriptures give us the perfect law, the scriptures are finished, we have all we need to know to become perfect in Christ.

The gift of tongues is a gift for a sign to the Jews (Isaiah 28:11, 12; 1 Cor 14:21; Acts 2:5, 8, Acts 10:44), during the laying of the foundation of the church. Speaking in tongues by the Gentiles also showed the Jews that God granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life (Acts 11:18). The sign has been given, and the foundation has since been laid (Eph 2:20), and tongues has ceased just as the Bible said it would.

After I was saved, I was talked into believing speaking in tongues was real for our days, and I was taught how to do it and I even believed I could interpret what was said. One day someone asked me to teach them about it so I went to the Bible to give them scriptures on it, but then realized it was not right what I was doing. I realized I was not careful about accepting teachings by mere humans, and should have checked with the Bible before I accepted something as truth.

This is where guidance of the Holy Spirit into deeper understanding of God’s Word is essential. You see, there is more than just the “Gift of Tongues.” There are actually 4 different kinds of tongues of which the Aposrle Paul makes clear distinction in his letters to the churches at Corinth and Rome. There are tongues as a sign for believers and tongues as a sign for unbelievers. There is a tongue for edification of the church and a tongue for the edification of the individual. (Essentially, tongues for public and for private.)

Paul also speaks of tongues for intercession, where the Holy Ghost uses a born-again believer as an empty vessel to pray through with “groanings that cannot be understood.” This latter “tongue” is certainly not a known language and certainly not of the Spiritual Gifts of which Paul speaks.

Your understanding of what God’s Word is saying on this subject may be veiled by pride or a lack of willingness to yield to the Holy Spirit. So many people are quick to point out what they believe God and His Holy Spirit CANNOT do. God’s Word never says that the Gifts would end in the church age. Any of the gifts. It is sad that so many churches have become so dead and powerless because they choose to limit or somehow alter the operation of the Holy Spirit to justify their lack of “seeing these things”happen themselves or in their own lives.

He is the same God He was 2000 yrs ago. Same Holy Spirit today that was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. Same power, same authority, same operation.
