Temptation is not a Sin

Nice verse, meant for unbelievers; nothing to do with Born Again Christians!
With out faith, fear is a sin. Again, has nothing to do with ALL sin comes from fear as in the original post!
I was not trying to answer the question and I don't really like blanket statements without thorough examination.
I'm willing examine the issue because I found that everyone sees things differently.
By telling someone they are wrong without trying to understand what it is they are seeing we could be
throwing out a better understanding of the subject by all parties.

I seem to learn more from those who disagree with me than those who agree readily.

Let's examine fear:
We would need to better define fear in order to test such a statement.
Many words have a positive and negative use and fear can be used in different ways.

At one extreme it could be:
anxious-paralyzing-captivated- "in awe of" good.
anxious-paralyzing-captivated- "in awe of" evil;

Any feedback, edit, additions, subtractions on that statement would be helpful.

I am not sure "what" or" the" statement is that you are referring to is?
With regards to one of the two above extremes:
anxious-paralyzing-captivated- "in awe of" good.
"Anxious-Paralyzing" seem negative to me and can not possibly be associated with being in "awe of good!"

Maybe captivated,really attentive,stirred up?
That describes my first kiss and my first revelation of what "God is love " means.
There is perhaps a realm of good terror called rapture or ecstasy..

I think it's important to examine how we will use words in a particular discussion.
Because the fear of the Lord is a proper fear for a believer.
The fear of man or circumstances would be an improper fear.

So perhaps the temptation to fear is like the temptation to sin.
It feels a lot like fear and if not shined on with light it can lead worse.
