When “we truly believe in” God’s Word and what Jesus Christ did for us, by going to the cross to die for our past sins, and to also make us free from the power of future sin and death. Then we, by the grace of God are born again; and we receive the Righteousness “of” God, which is by the faith “of” Jesus Christ. Notice this “gift” of imputed righteousness is by the faith “of” Christ, and is not given to us because of our own works, but by the works “of” Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith “of” Jesus Christ, even we have believed “in” Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith “of” Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Again notice the imputed righteousness “OF” God is given because of the faith “OF” Jesus Christ, when “we believe in” what Jesus did for us.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness “of” God which is by faith “of” Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that “believe”: for there is no difference:

We being born again of the Spirit now live, because of the faith “of” the Son of God.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith “of” the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Notice, it is not “our own righteousness” that saves us, but the righteousness “of” God, through the faith “of” Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having “mine own righteousness”, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith “of” Christ, the righteousness which is “of” God by faith:

This faith “of” Christ is “the gift of faith” we receive by the grace of God. (not of ourselves)

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that “not of yourselves”: it is “the gift of God:”

God foretold of how his servants would have “His righteousness” imputed to them.

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and “their righteousness is of me”, saith the Lord.

We receive this righteousness “of” God by the faith “of “Jesus Christ, when “we believe in” Him.

2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through “the righteousness of God” and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith “of” Jesus Christ might be “given to them” that believe. (gift of faith)

So in order to receive this gift, we must believe in (by faith in) the words of God concerning His Son, and in the power of the cross, in the cleansing power of the blood of Christ; and in the power of God’s resurrection through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For this is “the work of God”, that you “believe” on Him whom He has sent.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by “faith in” Christ Jesus.

So “believe” the words of Jesus Christ, and seek God’s righteousness by “faith in” Jesus Christ.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and “his righteousness”; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might “be made” the righteousness of God “in him.

This gift of grace and of the righteousness of God, and of the faith “of” Christ cannot be “earned by your own works”, it is a gift given to those who truly believe.

Romans 3:21
But now the righteousness of God “without the law” is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Romans 3:22
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith “of” Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them “that believe”: for there is no difference:

Romans 4:6 “Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness “without works”,

Romans 10:3 “For they being ignorant of “God's righteousness”, and going about to establish “their own righteousness”, have not submitted themselves unto “the righteousness of God”.

Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

James 2:23 “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham “believed God”, and it was “imputed unto him for righteousness”: and he was called the Friend of God.

We cannot save ourselves or work off our own sin debt, neither can we make ourselves righteous.

Romans 4:2-5 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.3 For what saith the scripture? “Abraham believed God”, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.5 But to him that worketh not, but “believeth on him” that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

So believe in the power of the Lord that can make you righteous

Genesis 15:6 “And he “believed in” the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”

Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time “his righteousness”: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which “believeth in” Jesus.”

Romans 4:5 “But to him that worketh not, but “believeth on him” that justifieth the ungodly, “his faith” is counted for righteousness.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law “for righteousness” to every one that “believeth”.

Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt “believe in thine heart” that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man “believeth unto righteousness”; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

So believe “in” the Word of God, and receive the imputed righteousness of God, being justified by the faith “of” Jesus Christ.

May the grace of the Lord be with you. Peace

When “we truly believe in” God’s Word and what Jesus Christ did for us, by going to the cross to die for our past sins, and to also make us free from the power of future sin and death. Then we, by the grace of God are born again; and we receive the Righteousness of” God, which is by the faith “of” Jesus Christ. Notice this “gift” of imputed righteousness is by the faith “of” Christ, and is not given to us because of our own works, but by the works “of” Jesus Christ.
When Jesus died for us, he paid our debt with his blood, God's blood.

When someone pays your debt, you now have to go through them, you have to do what they tell you to do.

Has anyone ever owed someone and then another company or person pays it off? You now have to go through them and under their conditions.

Jesus tells us exactly what we have to do go get saved.

We have to believe that we have to obey him.

You say, "When we truly believe".

That is not in the scriptures.

It sounds as if you are trying to put as much power in faith alone as you can.

That is not possible though, for faith alone is dead and cannot save anyone.
The works of the law are the purification works.

These are the works of the law the purification works:

The Burnt Offering; The Grain Offering; The Fellowship Offering; The Sin Offering; The Guilt Offering; Dietary Laws; Purification After Childbirth; Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases; Cleansing From Mildew; Discharges Causing Uncleanness; The Day of Atonement; Rules for Priests; The Sabbath; Firstfruits; The Passover and Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Tabernacles; Oil and Bread Set Before The LORD; the Sabbath Year; The Year of Jubilee; Circumcision.

The Jews had to live by THOSE WORKS of the law.

They had to live by those works every day forever.

Again notice the imputed righteousness “OF” God is given because of the faith “OF” Jesus Christ, when “we believe in” what Jesus did for us.
Grace is that we only have to have faith now that Jesus does those purification works of the law for us now.

We now only have to have faith that Jesus does those works for us.

We don't have to work at purifying ourselves now, because Jesus purifies us now.

Those works were a shadow of Jesus.

Jesus came and his coming fulfilled those works for us now.

He came and died and is the lamb whose blood takes away our sins.

We still have to obey Jesus, we just don't have to get circumcised anymore and sacrifice animals, etc.
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness “of” God which is by faith “of” Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that “believe”: for there is no difference:

We being born again of the Spirit now live, because of the faith “of” the Son of God.
We are born again when we repent of our sins to Jesus and crucify ourselves to sin with him on the cross and die to the sins of the world and promise to live our new life pleasing him by continuing to obey him.

We cannot be BORN AGAIN unless WE DIE.

We rise up with the Holy Spirit given to us for our dying to sins, for repenting of our sins and promising to live to please Jesus.

You can't be born again unless you die.

After we die to the sins of the world, and call on Jesus to help us, to save us, to give us his Spirit and live in us---we are then born again.

We are purified and now have the Spirit of God and we are perfect and holy and without sin...we have a new life, we are born again without any sins, like a new born baby.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith “of” the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

See that scripture plainly tells us we have to crucify ourselves to sin.

That is MORE THAN JUST SAYING YOU BELIEVE.
Notice, it is not “our own righteousness” that saves us, but the righteousness “of” God, through the faith “of” Jesus Christ.
Jesus tells us how to get saved and we have to do what he says.

Faith alone is dead and cannot save anyone.

Haven't you ever been in anybody's will and testament?

Do you know anyone who made a last will and testament?

Jesus taught his when he had his earthly ministry.

He taught how to be an heir.

He taught how to be a child of God's and what we will receive as heirs.

There is no such thing as taking a last will and testament to any judge and saying I believe this, and then being put in the covenant.

No.

For the testament tells us what we have to do.

Jesus tells us more to do than just say, "I believe you."

If you know about last wills and testaments then you know the testator says who the heirs are and why...usually blood relatives to the testator.

We have to go through Jesus' blood to be an heir.

We go through his blood by repenting of our sins and believing his blood sanctifies us.

Faith and works go hand in hand. If a man truly believes the words of God, he will do what the Lord tells him to do.

Luke 6:46-49

King James Version

46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

Not all who say they believe, “truly believe” unto obedience.

Matthew 7:22-23

King James Version

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Faith without works is dead…

James 2:14-26

King James Version

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Faith and works go hand in hand. If a man truly believes the words of God, he will do what the Lord tells him to do.

Not all who say they believe, “truly believe” unto obedience.

Faith without works is dead…
So you are admitting that if you don't repent of your sins and believe then a person can't be saved?

You have.
You denying you were preaching faith alone and for us to do nothing else?
Prove it. You are the one who always tries to prop up straw man arguments, and falsely accuse me of saying things I never said. SO PROVE IT, or else be found a liar and a false accuser, not to mention a blasphemer.

I’ll be waiting ……

lol
It will be easy.
Since you are going against faith alone now I am glad to hear it.

I believe in faith plus works, but it’s not our own. I believe in repentance of sin, and obedience, and walking in righteousness and being made free from sin. But all this is only accomplished by the power of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.

We by our “own works”cannot earn the “gifts” of God. If you had to earn them, then they would not be “gifts” but rather wages. God “gives” us everything we need to overcome the world, sin, and the evil one.

Even the faith “of” Christ, which is a gift.

Thanks for proving yourself to be a liar and a false accuser.

God's Truth said:
….you were preaching faith alone and for us to do nothing else?
Do you think a “true” born again Christian would constantly accuse another Christian of saying things which he never said.? Even after the accused tried to correct the accuser over and over again?

No doubt, the false accuser is not a true born again Christian, but is a reprobate.
