The gifts of the Holy Spirit for the Church??

1Jn 2:19 They went out from our number, but they did not [really] belong to us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us. But [they withdrew] that it might be plain that they all are not of us.

... and yet...

Luke 10:1; Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.
Luke 10:17; The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."
Luke 10:20; "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven."

John 6:66; As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.
John 6:67; So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?"
John 6:68; Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Rev 3:5; 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Rev 3:5; 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Who is the person who causes a believer to always triumph? Thanks are to God, and not man or yourself.

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

This is a "promise" not a warning from Jesus as he will not blot anyone's name from the book of life who has overcome.

Wicked people are those who have their names blotted from the book of life.

Psa 69:27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Psa 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Born again believers are never called wicked. Born again believers are "righteous", and "holy" not because of anything we have done (works) but what God has done through Jesus Christ. All born-again believers were made to be world overcomers, righteous and holy not by anything we do!

Wicked people are those who have their names blotted from the book of life.
Wicked people do not get their names written in the book of life.
Rev 20:15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 13:8 And all the earth-dwellers shall worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the world’s foundation.

1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Ceratinly no one overcomes without Him. But this doesn't say overcoming is guaranteed.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

What translation is this? It seems in-accurate

NIV 2Co 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
NLT 2Co 2:14 But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.
(BBE) But praise be to God who makes us strong to overcome in Christ, and makes clear through us in every place the value of the knowledge of him.
(CSB) But thanks be to God, who always leads us in Christ’s triumphal procession and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place.
(ESV) But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
(HCSB) But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
(ISV) But thanks be to God! He always leads us triumphantly by the Messiah and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of knowing him.
(MSG) And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance.
(NET) But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and who makes known through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place.

Born again believers are Pentecostal and enjoy the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the body of Christ.
Just because many claim to be born again does not make it so.
Jesus knows who are such true worshippers by his Spirit ...
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in power of the Holy Spirit.
19 in power of signs and wonders, in power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of the Christ;

1Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
2Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power be of God, and not from us;
2Cor 12:9 And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for the power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in weaknesses, that the power of the Christ may spread a tabernacle over me.

And the gifts of the Holy Spirit still abound to the Spirit-filled church - faith, healings, working of miracles.
The power of God by his Holy Spirit made manifest in our Pentecostal testimonies to being born from above by water and Spirit.

People do NOT become world overcomers, they are "born" world overcomers.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?”
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water AND the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” - John 3:3-5

And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
So in the OT under the Law given to Moses who qualified to have their name written in the book of life??
And in the NT - a different covenant - who has the hope and promise that their name is written in the book of life??
