Hmmm.... most right thinking UK citizens look at the USA's psyche and fascination with guns including the church's muted support for the carrying and use of guns with something between bemusement and incredulity. The UK of course has the strictest gun control laws in the world, there's no hand guns, assault rifles of semi-automatics; you're only allowed single and double barrelled shot guns and to get one of those you have to go through background, psychological strict checks, and a visit from the police to check that you have a lockable gun cabinet and good levels of house security. Guns can only be used for hunting and target practice, to keep one for self protection is a no no. These laws are widely supported and there's no audible calls for any relaxation.

When we see gun death stats from over the pond, we're wondering what's going on there that people are so anti gun control and the arguments put forward seem to make no sense. What I can't grasp is why the church in the USA is so quiet on this subject. From the newsfeeds I see that the population is divided on the subject but if anything, the church tends to veer towards anti-gun control.

The most relevant verse that we can add to the OP's list is Matthew 5:38-40 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Well to make this country what is today and to arrive to “The Consitution of These U.S.A. It took kids very young with Muskets, FireArms killing people for to be where we are in “America” today! It is all over The WORLD, The Politicians the people who are the Real Destroyers of This World, and not kids with “Automatic weapons” it is The “Elite”! It is “Greed” not “Crumbs” that fall from their table!

Incidentally, the original name of Satan was not Lucifer. It is generally believed because of misreading the scripture which was about a man that was a boastful Babylonian king for why He was to fall and his corpse will be left unburied too. So not Satan.

Verse 12 originally did not have Lucifer in the Greek manuscripts but it came from the Latin Vulgate as the KJV's reference to the planet Venus, the morning star. That is why all Alexandrian manuscripts and modern bibles from it, do not have that reference of Lucifer in it at all.

Godly Republicans Philip Van Cleave support, Joe Walsh, Trent Lott Larry Pratt. Matt Gaetz, Dana Rohrabacher, Joe Wilson, all support the program because little kids are not corrupted by fake liberal news and the homosexual agenda. But is this a slippery slope having government involved in training kids on how to use guns? There is no age limit of the 2nd Amendment.

But what happens when someone good goes bad? What then? There are some things we should trust the Lord with rather than trust the government to solve that problem.

Why should the people wait for the military to come to the rescue when they can arm themselves to fight off the invaders too?

I think some are allowing teachers to be armed now. That should give pause to all those trigger happy students out there.

But for arming kids? No. The responsibility should be given to all the adults. Try that first. Some kids may use guns to bully or to avenge themselves against bullying and so kids are not ready for the responsibility of being armed yet.
