Turning my back on Christ.

Cognitive said:
Thank you all for your loving words.
I will pray on the matter and study it deeply.
I was getting close to this spirit beside, who I thought was a good spirit. Now after your words I will be very wary of what he tells me. I have to know if this spirit is from GOD. If it is not then I thank you for your love towards me, and to want to direct my path to GOD.
The spirit comforted me, and I let it in me. I just saw the first few chapters of Genesis outside my window one day. I thought Christ was calling me to live there. After all its what was created for me in the beginning.

I respect you brothers and sisters in Christ, I did read the scriptures you gave me, I do not preach a false gospel intentionally, if I do I am sure Jesus will help me see the way.
And so will my brothers and sisters here, as you continue to do so.

Chad I read my NIV the most, but also my KJV at times.
God Bless
Brendan

Im glad to see you are begining to understand:star: We are here for you brother we just teach it like it is... this is the true path of God. Like i said the Bible is our roadmap we need to study and ask questions on things we dont understand. Without Gods word or true understanding, we will be blind leading the blind...you dont want that, trust me.:star:

Pray for his holy spirit, reject any spirit that contradicts God word, and God will give you his true spirit. You also may just be misunderstanding Gods spirit, so pray about it a lot, stay here if possible and we will try to help. Are you following a group? or are you self taught brother?.

We are all praying for you, but we will not learn if we don't humble ourselves and listen to good teachers, and we have a lot of good teachers here brother. Brother Chad and the rest of the Mods are good teachers, some better than others, but we share our gifts. Just ask and well try our best to help. But you must be willing to hear us as well. Don't forget: God has placed the gift of teaching, by teachers in the Church, for the building up of it with the truth...

God bless brother and peace to you...:star: lol and yes we rebuke, a rebuke is not Judgment.. Christ does it as well to every saint, we stand for sound doctrine and so should you brother. The word says if we turn a brother from the error of his way, we will save him, and cover a multitude of sins...

God bless you richly and Guide you...:star:

1Co 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co 12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1Co 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1Co 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:17 If the whole body [were] an eye, where [were] the hearing? If the whole [were] hearing, where [were] the smelling?
1Co 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

1Co 12:19 And if they were all one member, where [were] the body?
1Co 12:20 But now [are they] many members, yet but one body.
1Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

1Co 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1Co 12:23 And those [members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness.
1Co 12:24 For our comely [parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked:
1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1Co 12:29 [Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all workers of miracles?
1Co 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

This is how the Church is to operate, in order and for one another...

God bless

Thank you Fellowservant.

I read my bible alone and talk to this spirit alone, talk Jesus is all I have to share my journey, I have mormons and jehovas witnesses who visit my home, yet I dont trust them. Christ tells me that i dont need them.

In your reply I felt love towards me once again, in the others I just see confusion.

I do want to stay here, and learn, I just cant shake this thought about living in the natural world, running off in the woods as you say. It may be affecting my study with my worry that I am stuck here. If I dont live there I turn my back on his creation.

After this thread I think that the spirit I have in me that I have grown to love, thinking it was Christ, is nothing but a false teacher. How can I be sure?

Your brother in Christ

Ok i was given a sign that this might be the case, you need to try this spirit with the word, if it says no this is not the truth, that we are saying, then rebuke it. Then ask God to give you his holy spirit. What does this spirit feel like, can you feel his presence? The presence of God is like a small electrical charge, it will come upon you like a brease almost feels like the hair on you head is lifting, somtimes arms as well.

Also peace inside you heart and joy as well, but not always sometimes he make us cry to the Father. So let me know, like i said you just might be misinterpreting what he is trying to say. Or you do have a seducing spirit, they will come up with doctrines that are not in the word. You need to try this spirit...every spirit that says Jesus did not come in the flesh, or that Christ is not coming again in the flesh, is not of God. I sudgest you stay, and ill try to teach you, i dont want to see you this confuesd...if your willing to listen to me or us we can try to help. But you must listen to us...

God bless

Cocunut I have read your words I still dont understand them fully and would like to ask you a question.

I think that my own understanding has got in the way with GOD, as each book or word of my bible is speaking the same word to me, about this natural world versus the system world.

How can I get back into the word of GOD, and take my filter away from it?

You see my thinking or my understanding or the spirit which I believed it was, is constantly comparing this world we live in, to the world that GOD created. Thats all it does. Each time it does it, the creation we learn from in Genesis, it points as good, and this world evil. So because this spirit was constanlty praising the creation of GOD, and showing me the evil of this world, I believed it to be a good spirit, Christ himself.

So as you say I see a distorted view of the word. How would I get back to the truth? When I believe in this distortion, and I believed that Christ was preparing me for this.

It means that this spirit that has been with me all this time, is not Christ.
Please understand why it is hard for me, for I only know you here for a short time, this spirit I have within me I have listened to for a long time. I believed it to be Christ.

I still hope that it is.
God Bless
Brendan.

Chad I am sorry but I still dont see your point in using the term Christian for myself. I feel like you wont accept me as a brother until I do so.

Is it not enough for you that I believe in Christ is the truth the life and the only way.

I do not deny that the word christian isnt mentioned in my bible. I said that christ didnt ask me to become one.

The people of Antioch, Agrippa and you Chad can call me a Christian if you wish.

Jesus calls me his friend, brother or his child, he has never called me a christian.
For it is written,

John 15

12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Did you at some time not be a christian and Jesus asked you to become one? Please help me to understand why this name is important to you.

God Bless
Brendan.
Actually, why is it so aggravating for you to not call yourself a Christian? Does it bother you? If you accept and believe in Christ, what's the problem? Do you even know what the term Christian is? I find you very disturbing that you are the one making such a fuss of calling yourself a Christian. Just because Christ did not directly use the word Christian does not imply that you are not a Christian. That is not your opinion of how to believe in Christ or not. You either believe His way or you do not and deny him, then pay the consequences. If your a believer and not a Christian, then what do you all yourself when someone asks you what you are? Do you say "I believe in Jesus but I'm not a Christian"? How disturbing that is. I say shame on you for not accepting the Truth and denying the rightful term to believers, CHRISTian.

Talk Jesus is for those who are "Serious Christians in Mind" and those who seek truth, not deny it. You've gone on an one disregarding the most basic truth. That is your choice. It is my choice to stop this ongoing fruitless conversation on the most basic teaching of Christ. "Follow me" = Christian which you clearing are disturbed by.

Fellowservant,

I would like to tell you what this spirit feels like.

When I was a sinner, evil and hated other people. I felt like life was useless.
Then when I was spending my life with drink and drugs and one day I had an overdose, went into a fit (shaking on the ground for around 5 mins) and people around me thought I was going to die.

When I woke I couldnt leave the bed, I had harmed my spine and couldnt stand for 6 weeks. I wasnt in my own home at this time, I was staying at friends house.

I had never read a book before from cover to cover, so I lay in the bed wondering what to do. My younger brother, also a sinner had a bible given to him when he got sent to prison, he brought it me.

I think these words may not reach you as my time here is about to cease.
I love you all and hope the spirit will show you the way.
God Bless
See you in the Kingdom

I am no longer welcome here, Chad has banned me for not labelling myself a christian, I understand your reasons brother, may GOD have mercy upon you.

I professed the LORD Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

I am not ashamed to follow him.

I folllow him, not law, for I am a child of the living GOD, I am no pharisee, who puts law before LOVE.

If Love Never Fails. . .

First of all - I want you all to know that I am truly greatful for all the patience & understanding you've shown me through this group {TalkJesus}.

But, now I have another question that I tend to dwell on & on about. And that is: If Love Never Fails, then why do I find myself failing to better myself in my own conduct to GOD?
I mean I truly Love GOD & HIS Son Jesus Christ & want to do all the righteous things that we are required to do. But my conduct to my husband gets out of hand some times. And I find myself troubled. If I can't show good conduct to my huband - then how am I to set a good example for him?
{1Corinthians 13:7-8}

I realize, hanging around the wrong croud can cause a person to be more like the [wrong] croud that they choose to hangout with. {1Corinthians 15:33}

But,could that be my problem? Could my husband be the wrong croud for me?

*Or - what else could it be?
