What does it mean to be saved?

After Saul's conversion, Jesus taught him now called Paul. My question to you is this: Did Paul accurately pass on to the gentiles, as recorded in his writings, what he was taught by Jesus?

Yes, Paul, a Servant of Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ, accurately passed on to the Gentiles what he was taught by Yeshua/Jesus.

@ Eliheonai --okay -- what Did Paul pass on to the Gentiles that he was taught by Jesus?

Of course HE DID, what a dumb question, How could He be named "Yeshua Hamashiach"? Why, don't you start asking Intelligent "Theological" questions if you want "Theological Intelligent" answers. And quit " Bruising Reed and Smoking Flax" maybe i quoted that wrong:eyes:

@PloughBoy It could be that you are being dumb for saying that they are dumb questions. On the other hand, you are saying that @Sue D. and @JerryfromMass are giving dumb answers because they appear to be denying that Yeshua/Jesus observed every iota of the Law of Moses.

Yes, Paul, a Servant of Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ, accurately passed on to the Gentiles what he was taught by Yeshua/Jesus.
Very good, Hebrew. Accordingly, everything in the letter to the Galatians and the letter to Romans and all the other epistles from Paul are completely and accurately Jesus's teachings. All letters to gentiles, not Jews.

@PloughBoy -- no question on here is dumb. Theological questions are being asked and answered.
Let me say this 1st what you might think is a "theological question to me, is only a "religious" question to me" What I might think of the type of theological question i am asking you, you may preferred to it a "Christology" or a "Religious" question. The three have a difference. But now days everyone has their own views and definitions.

I know i know the Difference Between "Theology', Christology, and Religious Studies". And I know "Etymology" of words. But in todays society: "You Can Name it and Claim it" " A Religious Analogy"! And they are proud of it, and they claim it, with power! Flying around Boring Holes like Bumble bees.

Yes, Paul, a Servant of Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ, accurately passed on to the Gentiles what he was taught by Yeshua/Jesus.
Jesus taught Paul "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day – things which are a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." Colossians 2:16-17:

And, Jesus taught Paul "One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind." Romans 14:5:

Therefore, Jesus taught Paul not to burden the Gentiles with the mosaic law, the law that neither Paul nor Peter nor any of the children of Israel could perfectly observe.

Jesus Christ went to the cross -- Died -- and rose again bodily -- by Choice. He did that for all of us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world , that He Gave , His only begotten Son, that who so ever believeth on Him, will not perish but have ever lasting life.

He Could have called 10,000 angels to rescue Him, but He didn't. He wanted all of us to have a chance at eternal life in heaven.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

To be True Disciples we must do everything Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ did.

@Elihoenai -- Now you're going to an extreme. -- We can't do everything that Jesus Christ did -- He's the Only One who could die on the cross for us and rise again on the 3rd day.

We Can be more and more Christ--Like in our daily living. What would Jesus do in any particular situation.

Amen! Every man must be fully convinced in their own mind. Be pleasers of Elohim/God and not of Men.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Read in Romans 14:5 and Colossians 2:16-17.

And if I may add chapter 3:17 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving hanks to God the Father through Him.

As well as verse 15. about the peace of God dwelling in you richly , in all wisdom , teaching and admonishing one another....."

Jesus spoke of the Hebrew Roots Movement in Revelation: "Look at those who belong to the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews but are liars instead. I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and they will know that I love you." Revelation 3:9.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Read in Romans 14:5 and Colossians 2:16-17.

2 Peter 3:15-16

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

How can you be a follower of Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ if you don't do everything he did? Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ showed us the Perfect life to follow.

You don't understand Paul, because you are a New Testament Christian.

And yet, still a gentile, not a Jew, not bound up in chains that are the law. Made free in the law of Christ.

You, however, who says you obey the law, are a liar, for when you fail in one, you are guilty of all, and Christ is not in you to save you. You will be judged by tbe law.

@ Elihoenai -- Well -- yes, we Are New Testament Christians -- what other kind Is there.

What do you believe that You are?

Yes, in Christ 'we' are set free from the bondage of Sin. 'not of works, lest any man / person should boast'.

I don't do all that Jesus did because HE is God and I am a sinful broken human. And I know I am unable, which is why I surrender to HIM for forgiveness of always falling short of HIS standard of excellence, and for salvation through his sacrificial atonement.

You can try all you like to perform all of the acts the law requires, but you, too, fall short. What will be your excuse on judgment day?
