i like almost all types and am open to new bands but the one band that always seems to hit the spot no matter how bad/ good a day was is Hillsongs anything by them always seems to make things a little more better. and how lovely they sound.

I don't think music should mix with church or the worship for God so I don't listen to anything that are hyms with music or other kind of worship songs. It's alright to listen to anything else as long as you analyze what you're listening to and take in the good and throw away the bad. I love "My God is in awsome God" in my church we just translated it to a spanish version and it's really pretty too. I'm hispanic for anybody that didn't know.

Well i chose metal because its what i generally listen to (especially heavy metal). I also like rock, punk rock and light metal.
I actually started to wonder if there were many christians here who like metal. Good to know.:shade:

I picked other because I like some Christian countryish music I have plus bluegrass, celtic, and a few others. I'm not a big fan of socalled 'Christian' rock as it seems to send the wrong message to unbelievers. There should be a difference between the stuff we listen to and the stuff the world does. That's just my 2 cents.

hey friends in Christ. I couldn't believe southern gospel wasn't on the list of favorites so i voted for other; however, i do enjoy praise and worship.

Well, I'm not sure which category I would fall into! I like Michael W. Smith a lot. Twila Paris is good. I can tolerate DC Talk (that's who my step-son listens to when he is at our house - which is much better than the Eminem cd's he listens to at his mom's). My favorite song of all time is Our God Is Awesome God. The one I like to sing when I'm alone is Lord, I Lift Your Name On High. Oh, and I love On The Wings of a Snow White Dove. So, I think I'm kind of all over the board!

My favorite style is "Praise and Worship". Actually, I'm surprised to see "Praise and Worship" listed as a category. How can music be Christian if its not about praise and worship? I don't understand.
