What is your favourite way to keep fit?

With my home school co-op (it only has like 5-8 kids that come), we do P90X or we run to the beach and back which is about three/fourths of a mile each way. P90x is great as it focuses on all aspects of your body. Also our P.E. teacher will have us run up and down 5 flights of stairs for a whole P.E., even though it is repetitive, it sure does give you a workout if you do it for an 30 minutes to an hour. When we get back from doing any of those various activities we usually play football or something like that.. Also when I'm at home I try to do at least 100 push-ups everyday

I do a variety of things to stay active.
Last semester in college I took a Tennis course.
At home I usually lift weights to tone my arms along with sit-ups, wall-sits, crunches, and jumping jacks. Sometimes I watch this Yoga show on Veria and do as much of that as possible. Otherwise I run up and down the stairs a lot and that helps.
My friends and I get together every once in a while to play softball or basketball (and now we can play Tennis!).
Weather depending, I'll walk my dog, rake the leaves, and walk/bike to the local store instead of driving.

My absolute favorite way to keep myself going and in shape is to walk. I find that walking is a way for me to not only take care of my body but to connect with God and His wonderful creation of nature here on earth. Seeing animals run around, birds flying, just taking in the trees, flowers and grass and I see God in each of the these things.

I also like to swim and am planning on but not sure when of getting a ymca membership so I can swim and start using the gym equipment to work out with.

Guess what, I am using Shawn T workout program called "Insanity," I only got one part called "Fast and Furious." It is a quick 20mins workout that workout your core, and it also does cardio.

My favorite way to keep myself fit is exercise. I do regular exercise in the morning and keep myself active and fit. I do running and jogging. These exercises are best for fitness.

Cycling is very important for good health and it plays a vital role in making health and fitness. And it is one of the best exercise among all and i usually do cycling twice in a week and i do cycling for 10 miles and i enjoy a lot. And it is my way to become slim and smart.

I love jogging/running, 90 minute walks around the neighborhood, and doing Christian workout DVD's (also Christian yoga DVD).

My fave way is walking. I put on my iPOD, I have a playlist I like when I walk..it is various types of music that motivates me to get movin'!
I have some of those Sketchers Rocker shoes ( AWESOME!) and just head out walking. Hubby is a "mountain goat" (LOL) because he grew up in the mountains and he walks up mountains(he calls 'em hills..LOL!). I try but I slow him down, still it is fun and it is better when you have someone with you I think.
I have struggled with my weight. I was doing good, but had some set backs.
I also have done some Christian yoga in the past, but kinda limited on what I can do bc of pinched nerves.
That is my fave way to get healthier!

:cute:

I go to a ladies gym 3 times a week in evenings and sent 1h 30mins running,walking,cycling...It depends as long as I do about 500 calories a visit. I like running though.

My main way of keeping fit, reading the labels on food, eating organic, trying to live an active life, got a new bike last year, the money not spent at a gym goes towards my organic supplements and foods. I choose the food over the gym fees. Bought an exercise mat and work out from home. I haven't been that active this past month but all of that will change today.

In summary

I save the money from gym memberships to buy organic foods and supplements.
I watch exercise videos on netflix or free on youtube.
When the weather permits I intend to ride my bike.
I do a lot of walking
I cook more than I eat out,
I control the ingredients of everything that goes in my body and on my body.
I do regular colon cleanse and body detox
Considering going gluten free.
Doing praise Dance
I don't count calories, if your choice of food is nutritional and does not contain harmful additives, hormones , pesticides, preservatives, coloring , then your body will digest it and release the waste easily.
Having regular doctor visits and doing blood work.
If you don't know whats going on with your body all the exercise and dieting can cause you more harm that good.
My immune system is much more important than being stick skinny. You can be fit and have a weak immune system.
I follow the Paleo diet because it trumps all diets. After reading 1 Timothy 4 I knew I had no other choice.

1 Timothy 4

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

I like your plan of keeping fit! God has given us so many ways to keep ourselves healthy and fit out in nature. My husband used to go on a lot of hikes in the woods before I moved here to be with him. He would describe to me the beauty of the tree's and take pics of nature.
He got me started on vitamins too.

He has helped me loose some needed pounds too and trying to loose more.
Can I ask, what is the Paleo diet? :confused2:

I was thinking of going vegean as well, but I came across that verse in 1 Timothy as well.So I just decided to increase my vegetable intake. My father and I go to Krogers a lot and we come across some great deals on frozen vegetables and salad greens ( mesclun).

my little brother was a vegetarian for about 2 years. he still don't eat a lot of meat. i don't think i could go that route, but i respect those that do.

i need to work on eating more of the good foods and less of the bad...sure wish chocolate was as healthy for you as veggies! LOL!

Hello all.

Dear N8VFlower, I noticed your comment,

"sure wish chocolate was as healthy for you as veggies! LOL!"

Life is painful is it not, I love chocolate and restrict myself to two pieces of
dark chocolate a day. Is this suffering for Christ or what.

Hope Heaven has a quality chocolate shop.

@ David777~ wow only 2 pieces! You are one strong man my friend! :watermelonfly:
That would be awesome to have a chocolate shop in heaven...just think...ya won't have to worry about calories anymore! LOL!:clapping:

I go for walks in the fresh air each night, and have been trying to do some push-ups more regularly. I will confess though, my diet isn't exactly the healthiest.
