Sounds like the two of you are from England -- a fairly different culture that here in America.

It is different Sue, I believe it's somewhat slower, but two of my best friends come, one from the States and the other from Canada and I love them, in Fact it was Paul Landry, an american, that tossed a miniture new testament to me, that opened up where Jesus and Pilate were talking, and that changed my life. The closest i've been to the US, is Panama on my way to New Zealand, but unfortunately we never made it ashore, we were being chased by a hurricane at the time.

Hurricanes Do tend to be the boss.

We were chased from Curacao to Panama, Our captain decided, rather than ride it out in Curacao we would race it to Panama. We could see the black mass behind us and the sea was so rough we had to push our life jackets under our matresses to wedge them up against the bulkhead to stop us falling out of our bunks. I found it exciting and stimulating, we then passed through the cannal and across the pacific to New Zealand. Great stuff.

I don't think I wore out my guardian angel Sue, but I should imagine he had good conversations in the guardian angel rest room.
