Worldly thoughts produce worldly words and fleshly arguments that generates religious fights.
There is absolutely nothing “ “sanctifying and holy” about it.
Why do you do it then?
I bet one Thing for sure, Jesus will not be saying “Christian’s on The Right and non Christian’s on the left”
That is a fleshy thing to say. You even admitted to not being Christ-like when it is EXACTLY what we ARE supposed to be!
I bet the Word Christian will never come out of The Mouth of Christ or The FATHER! Never!
The name 'Christian' is a good and mighty name.
It goes against your every premise.
It means I am follower of Christ no matter how much you try to go against it.
There is nothing derogatory about having the word ‘Christ’ in our name.
The scriptures show only good when leading up to and after the word ‘Christian’.
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Acts 26:28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or
as a thief, or
as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17For the time
is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if
it first
begin at us, what shall the end
be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls
to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
