I want Jesus to be my friend.
I want to know him.
I want to serve him.
I want him to be no. 1 in my life.
I want to wake up every morning and be excited about sharing the day with him.
I want him to share the day with me.
I want to love him more than anything else in this world.
I want people to see a difference in my life and ask me what it is.
I want to tell the world that God has changed my life and be able to tell them how he can change their lives too.
I want to get rid of the sin in my life and live the way that he would want me to live.
I WANT HIM TO BE MY REASON FOR LIVING.
Sadeyes, I was so happy to read this when I woke up this morning, and you are wanting all the right things. You will see changes, but it does take time.
You know, I said to my mum quite a few months back now, it was around November time last year, "I feel I am not saved, I have messed things up, coz this is not working", her reply was "of course you are saved, stop condemning yourself, it's the devil saying these things to you, and you have changed” Those were such kind words from my mum, of encouragement to me, which I really needed at the time. My relationship with Him only really started about 10 months ago, but I was saved longer that though. The reason was, I was hypercritic, I accepted Jesus into my life as my Lord and Saviour, believed that the Father raised him from the dead, but I did not have that relationship.
So I say to you, take your time, learn something new everyday, read your Bible, say a chapter a day, God will reveal it to you. Tell God every day that you know he can do all things that you have stated above, don't ask Him, say "you are the Almighty God of Heaven and Earth and I know you can change me" and then go down your list. When one says, "can you change me", we are actually undermining Him, I made that mistake, that's why things took me so long to achieve things. Go to Him knowing in your heart, that He can do all those things and you will soon see some big changes in yourself.
When you are ready, I can recommend Andrew Murray. You can even read his books on line; I am busy reading one of his books at present. His books are very easy to read, he quotes scriptures in them and he teaches how to walk in God power and in God's spirit and walking in God's presence all day.
But please take it easy, as you have plenty of time, go to prayer and get to know Him first, thank Him and praise Him.
We all need encouragement, that’s what we are here for, so that all of us can encourage each other and help each other.
