Fact is it is not a Marriage at all, but only a partnership, as Christians should know what a Marriage truely it is.
It is an attack on Christian Marriage by the work of Satan. it works to degrade.

I think the Bible makes it pretty clear how God feels about it. Which matters more? What God thinks, or what society thinks?

There is no such thing as gay marriage.
it is / was never approved of in the first place as marriage covenant by GOD regardless of what any or many people of this world would like to tells us to defend this "gay marriage" concept, there is no such thing.
Gay marriage is actually a demonic covenant with the devil and with DEATH!
The devils FALSE make believe substitute marriage, instead for the real marriage set by GOD which is only between a man and a woman and is honourable among all.
Now the devil hates all the things of GOD especially marriage because we are made in His Image and so the devil will take the good things and change them into something evil!
The devil wants to steal kill and destroy: yes even his own followers (the satanists) he hates them all and the Good things of God especially and all that God Has instituted For His Glory and Created for Love and procreation of mankind. And marriage between one man and one woman is good and honourable among all! But the devil tries to take that and sneak into something FALSE and use it for EVIL!
And so actually turning the good marriage covenant instituted by GOD and using it against The LORD GOD and so turning the good into something that is utterly horrible and evil instead.
Indeed brother Eddy Fire, there is no such thing as "gay" marriage!

But to the gay people hear: there is also Good News!: The GOSPEL of The Lord Jesus Christ that if only people would humble themselves and believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and turn away - repent of sins they can be Saved and have Eternal Life! All their sins can be Blotted out!
What Peace and Joy Can be found Only in The Lord Jesus!
It is Amazing!
And the time is NOW at hand and is only very short we only have this one lifetime and only one shot at it! And there is no such thing as: reincarnation or second changes because once you die it's OVER -And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the Judgment.
And it appears to me that time is very short - especially !! in particular for those who are involved with practices such as : men sleeping with other men / homosexual sinful practices as these always result in FASTER DEATHS and infectious transmissive diseases like AIDS and very premature and painful early DEATH especially with the act of homosexual sin = High mortality RATE!

While some states offer a civil union there can be no real marriage except between one man and one woman. Making this legal would affect over 11,000 different laws, and basically rewrite some of the last traditional family concepts out of existence. If two men can get married then why not three? Why not a man and a goat?
In truth, this is a continuation of the degradation of our nation that once was founded on godly principle but is turning ever faster to the path of darkness.

The uniting church in Australia has a 'we accept all attitude' and lobbies for gay marriage.
Our local uniting church has a gay minister and he and his partner are openly seen together.
It is an abomination
And it is deceiving the congregations for churches to say that being gay is okay.

Homosexuality has become rampant, and I think that acceptance by the majority, that it is something natural and acceptable will be devastating to our nations. Being from Canada, where same sex "marriage" is legal, I already see its consequences. Last year as I rode on the bus, I got into a discussion with an unsaved girl. I said that being a homo has consequences such as AIDs. I would have been greatly emotionally shaken had the Lord not sustained me and given me supernatural joy! Her reaction was explosive and in fact there were a few others that were deeply indignant that I should say such a thing! One of these women had been in a same sex relationship, and said that she hoped her daughter would go for that as well, but wanted her son to marry and give her grandbabies!!!! I also know two Christian young men who have been attacked by homosexuals! And in my hometown school, the majority of the girls are lesbians. Any person that has any disagreement with homosexuality is an outcast, and given absolutely zero "tolerance". The conservative government lost the provincial election, we believe, due to the fact that one of the constituents was a pastor and had posted in a sermon (the previous year) that gays were going to hell. The public was outraged. The leader of the party was demanded to remove him. She said that it was against his freedom of speech to have him removed. We lost the election.

I didn't realize it was that common and widespread.
I have noticed though that it has been widely accepted in many countries and is hardly an issue anymore - where it used to be an issue, now it is just part of the way things are - only unjust
it undermines the people who hold onto values that are contrary to it
while gays are gay, that is choice like all other choices people make but to now be exalted as equal or as it seems to be above the principals of God, it has and is overtaking our younger generation
even more reason that the Gospel be preached without the admixtures of man
if the Gospel does not remain pure, even if gay and other anti-God issues arise and saturate society (the world) then there will be nothing to pass on to the future generations
could it be that the Lord has allowed and sent this plague upon mankind due to mankind preferring to have intimacy with mankind. as in men-pleasers and seeking praise from men and following man instead of God?
A serious question that all who oppose the gay agenda must consider and decide upon for all who seek to please man are in effect having a gay knowing and affair with man and the world.

I find it interesting that where I live, northern Alberta, we are considered "rednecks" and yet we are demanded to accept homosexuality with tolerance. I have to wonder what it is like in other cities such as Toronto and Vancouver, which are much more liberal. Maybe we are attacked as being roughnecks, and not enlightened to the wonderful new age of "love" and "tolerance", is because there are still enough conservatives to be a "burr under there saddles". Although I heard of one couple who was arrested in eastern Canada for praying while a gay pride parade was going on.
We need to pray that God would give us the strength, and clarity of mind, not being blinded by the powers that be, to continue in the grace af God, and represent the Gospel of Christ in truth and boldness. Not with fear. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim. 1:7

It is legal in 9 states now. Washington state (where I live) is the first state to adopt homosexual marriage by vote.
It is very common here. I don't think a day goes by I don't see signs about it somewhere, it's common to see same sex couples holding hands or even kissing here.
197 ordained ministers signed a petition to support it in this state. This is a very liberal state. Microsoft, Starbucks and Amazon are major contributors to LGBT organizations.
I don't think there is a single television network here in the US that doesn't have at least 2 or 3 TV shows every night that don't promote it in some way or another.

I don't support it. I refuse to be forced to accept it as "right" and "normal". I have a cousin that is gay and she is "married" to a woman. I care about them both, but disapprove of their lifestyle. I really pray that God will open their eyes to His truth. I don't hate someone because they are gay, but will never accept their lifestyle as normal and something I HAVE to accept. God meant for man and woman to marry and be together. No matter what society claims is the norm, God's word NEVER changes just because society does.
The things people say about the gay rights never include what I'm going to say. Children are not conceived by males. They are to be protected by law from abuse. That will be a problem in a gay marriage as children become subject to the major reason in a gay marriage. Sexual activity.
I am going to speak in a way which will describe some graphic things. Male and female have there God given procreative endowments. If this is not found on a secondary person , then other things are used. Nuff said----those other ways bring damage and harm and are also noted as unclean. This can also be a problem due to past knowledge of how certain types of people push themselves on others, example a bar where one is drinking. When one goes home could abuse children also. Sorry if anyone doesn't understand my speech here.

I find this thread very wrong. They have a right to get married. They're people too, just like you. Love is love. They're not harming you. I was raised by my dad who is gay and I turned out just fine. Worry about your own lives instead of other people's lives. To the person above me. I was never abused or anything. My dad doesn't push me to do stuff I don't like. I also have a mother who is gay. So, I take it very personal when people talk to down on gay people.

What does God say about Homosexual behavior in the bible? You see it doesn't matter what we think because God has already stated what He thinks and what he says we should do and in the bible He says it is not acceptable. The truth is the truth and I give it in love knowing that if we don't acknowledge the truth we are then living in ignorance of it and we have no excuse for it because we know right from wrong and we know what God says about this matter. I know many won't appreciate this post and maybe some will retaliate or come back with harsh words, but in love brothers and sisters I tell you God loves the sinner, but will not accept nor does he tolerate the sin.

These verses in the bible are alot to take in and to read but it is the truth my brothers, sisters and friends and when I read them it was the very last verse that caught my eye and spoke loud to me. Because it states that if I should approve of the things that God has said are not acceptable then I am just as guilty and will be deserving of the same penalty. I am not perfect and am not here to judge anyone by any means because I have also fallen short and made mistakes, but we learn from those mistakes and we turn from those things that are not of God because we now are not ignorant to the truth but very much aware of it and know it in our hearts. I cannot support homosexual marriage because God has said it is wrong. God makes the rules and we each make that choice of whether we are going to follow Him and His ways or not. A person can struggle with homosexual feelings, but in the end its he or she that makes the decision to either live in that life style or not.
I truely don't mean to offend anyone, but as christians we are called to pray for and love others and telling His truth is a very big part of loving others. The truth isn't always easy to hear, but if you love someone then sometimes you need to step out in faith and let God's truth be known, but do it in love not anger or hate or judgement. God is love and as He loves so are we to love...loving the person but not loving or accepting of the sin or in this case lifestyle they choose.

These verses in the bible are alot to take in and to read but it is the truth my brothers, sisters and friends and when I read them it was the very last verse that caught my eye and spoke loud to me. Because it states that if I should approve of the things that God has said are not acceptable then I am just as guilty and will be deserving of the same penalty. I am not perfect and am not here to judge anyone by any means because I have also fallen short and made mistakes, but we learn from those mistakes and we turn from those things that are not of God because we now are not ignorant to the truth but very much aware of it and know it in our hearts. I cannot support homosexual marriage because God has said it is wrong. God makes the rules and we each make that choice of whether we are going to follow Him and His ways or not. A person can struggle with homosexual feelings, but in the end its he or she that makes the decision to either live in that life style or not.
I truely don't mean to offend anyone, but as christians we are called to pray for and love others and telling His truth is a very big part of loving others. The truth isn't always easy to hear, but if you love someone then sometimes you need to step out in faith and let God's truth be known, but do it in love not anger or hate or judgement. God is love and as He loves so are we to love...loving the person but not loving or accepting of the sin or in this case lifestyle they choose.

I notice from your profile that you are not a Christian.....it is so good to see you here learning about Jesus and His ways.
The Bible is clear that homosexuality is wrong and therefore as Christians, who believe the word, we cannot condone homosexual behaviour in any way whatsoever.
The Bible is also clear that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.....that includes every single person in the world whether gay or not gay.
And as Christians, sinners saved by grace, we must pray with loving concern for those who don't know Jesus, that they would turn to Him and accept His free gift of Salvation.

What if they don't need praying? You can't tell them to be something they are not. You have to accept them for who they are. They are christians out there who can do that. You should learn how to do that too. You need to worry about your own lives and not theirs.

I like to learn things from many different religions. Even Satanism. I think as people we shouldn't call everything a sin. My mom may be gay but she is Christian and she believes that God loves her for who she is. No one shouldn't have to change themselves, especially for the sexuality. I want to ask you a question. Why do you think that God would condemn two who love each other, but forgive a person who has taken someone else's life? Maybe you guys should worry about the worser sins instead of the ones that actually aren't hurting other people.
