Going from the Nursery to the Garden of Faith

do you not consider those in Christ worthy of fellowship, surely you do. Are not those in Christ filled with the Holy spirit.

God made us to be in fellowship , that includes all in Christ,, sorry you feel lonely...... you will be in my prayers.

these two versus come to mind

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 1:3

That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Everyone should have a fellowship. In my opinion, Christian's who avoid having fellowships with others, do themselves not only a dissevice, but also harm. (As the devil will take advantage of the opprotunity).

Yes, real live fellowship is best.

Not all Christians have the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of water is not the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Also, many young and old Christians are not ready to recieve the Holy Spirit fully, as thier hearts need to be very fertile to recieve the fulness of the Spirit.

Anger, hatred, falsehood and other issues will stop a person from recieving the fulness of the Holy Spirit

A little over a week ago, the Lord shared with me this thought.

'Once a person recieves Jesus as Lord, you become like seeds, and God sets you in a pot with potting soil. The potting soil is the scripture. You feed on this until you are mature enough to be planted into the garden of the Holy Spirit.'

It's such a beautiful concept, to be like the apostles. The apostles were with Jesus in the potting soil of the nursery. And after Jesus was ascended into heaven, then they received the Holy Spirit.

It's not that the apostles got rid of the potting soil, as it was their Foundation, the foundation that we also have.

And now being mature enough to be planted into the garden of the Holy Spirit. We too can receive the Holy Spirit.

"Darkness is a result of attempting to find truth without the Word of God".

The word of God is Jesus

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

As one seeks the Kingdom of God through his word, eventually the word of God becomes a part of you, (keep in mind the word of God the Holy spirit and God are one). Everything in your life your daily activities will remind you of some scripture. Jesus will give us growth through his word as we eat it everyday, for man does not live on bread alone. Matthew 4:4. Jesus command is to read the word of God as it is our very food for spiritual strength, one can not know what those little voices in your head are with out knowing the word of God, for satan will disguise himself as a angel in light making wrong sound right, (but if you know the word of God and only through the Holy spirit can one know the word of God) you will have the gift of discrment to know it is not of the Holy spirit that the little voice in your head is trying to lead you to sin.

We grow in the Holy spirit through the word of God, As we can see in this scripture God is telling us that everything we need he has given us in scripture, now those who do not have the Holy spirit will never understand that
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.

Jesus himself tells us that in order to grow spiritual to mature plain as day what we must do, we need to eat the bread of life every day
Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, “The scripture says, ‘Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word that God speaks.’”
If people are looking at scripture as just a book filled with words they are wrong, for scripture testifies to itself, it is our shield of faith, our sword against the spiritual war we face (you know those little voices we hear but not sure whar they come from) it is our bread of life, it is are full body armor.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of

what is the whole armor of God, because this is what Paul tells us we need, this can only be reveled to you by the Holy spirit, through the word of God

The word of God matures in us as we grow in the Spirit it is the corner stone the foundation and the building all in one as Christ Jesus, God and the Holy spirit are all in one, and we know through scripture Jesus is the word of God. you do not grow in one with out growing in the other !

You feed on this until you are mature enough to be planted into the garden of the Holy Spirit.'

NO you do not grow out of the word of God, you grow into the word of God through, the Holy spirit, for all things will pass away but not Gods word,

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Do you actually read what is written when i write? Sometimes i wonder.

The potting soil, that a plant is nurtured in, always stays with the plant.

Have you ever gone to a nursery and bought a tree. The roots are in a ball filled with origional potting soil. And when you plant it, that potting soil goes with in into the ground.. you have to go through the soil (scripture/Jesus) to get to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Himself says, he has to go away, for the apostles to recieve the Holy Spirit.

Do you think Jesus had to really leave. As Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One anyways. And there have already been a few times in scripture that Jesus and the Spirit were present together.

Jesus left to show us, we need the Holy Spirit. And Jesus stated, the things He could not show us would be only revealed through the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Psalm 118:8

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

Luke 8:11

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

11. “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
14. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
15. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

The potting soil is the scripture

the question we have to ask our-self when we think God is speaking to us is does what the voice in my head say line up with scripture for the heart of man can deceive himself
A little over a week ago, the Lord shared with me this thought.
BUt does it line up with scripture we must test all things with scripture

What does scripture compare the word of God to?? NOT soil, but seed, what is the difference between seed and soil the seed Grows and turns into something else, this what scripture is for those with the Holy spirit they grow and mature and turn into something else.

Gods word is plain as day scripture is seed, NOT SOIL there is a difference

Luke 8:11

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

We all love God and want to serve him, we must know him through his word scripture and his Holy spirit will revel things in scripture to us as we grow, we never grow out of scripture, we grow in Scripture through the Holy spirit.

Love and blessings to you, always check with the word of God when we think hear from God, that is why we have the word of God, to keep those little voices in check. Those that neglect the word of God will not be able to discern

The potting soil is the scripture.
Dear freind I do not think you understand the gravity of what you have just said, you said you got this from God,

but God clearly teaches that scripture is a seed,

there is a Huge conflict hear my freind,

and a huge difference between seed and soil.

Anytime we say we hear from God it will line up with scripture, not conflict scripture.

Why waste your time with a heretic? He is delusional and knows nothing

Why waste your time with a heretic? He is delusional and knows nothing

I do agree that man is very deceived, but that does not mean he will always be deceived.

My hope was to be kind and show him what word of God says, and let the word of God shine light on the darkness, and maybe he will see the error of his ways and repent

anyone comparing scripture to soil is very deceived we all need to pray for this man.

Thats why scripture is compared to milk and that when we mature, we go on to more mature things, like faith, and trust in the Holy Spirit. He also says the 3 greatest thing that "we" are to increase in our lives is Faith, hope, and love. But so many christians want to drink milk only, because the meat scares them. They are afraid that the meat is tinged with the poison of false teaching, and so avoid the meat, staying on the milk and never mature in the greater things. But if you go slowly into the meat diet, without asking other people for assistance, the Holy Spirit will guide them as promised, and a steady prayer of helping them to discern what is good meat and what is not, but most just say, "Forget that, give me milk, milk is all I need."

Scripture is never compared to as milk. Just the way some have to be taught it.
The scriptures are the Living Word, the Bible is the end all

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (KJV) – “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”
The word “milk” in the above quote (Greek gala) means the basic, elemental teachings of Christianity first learned by new believers according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of the Old and New Testaments. The word “meat” in 1Corinthians is from the Greek word “Broma”. Its’ Strong’s number is G1033. It means the deeper, more complete teachings of God’s Word.

The point in both, is how the scripture is used ,or taught .They are all the same scriptures

I find it sad that you think God can no longer speak, because you limit Him to only what has been written down. And even of what is written down, you find a way to believe it means what "you" want it to mean, which is sometimes right and sometimes wrong, and you are too blind to see it.

I never said God no longer speaks.
However, are there any new prophecy other than recorded in Revelation? No.
Is there any circumstance pertaining to life that is not covered in scripture? No.
Yes God speaks to us today,BUT,it cannot be contrary to scripture.
If it is, then it’s not God speaking. Therefore, the scriptures are the end all.
And thanks for the compliment

Why would God bother speaking to someone who believes currently accepted scripture is the end all of all things?

The best way to explain it so you can understand…….
He would tell me personally perhaps what church to attend.
He may place in on my heart to give to a certain cause.

Again, yes God speaks to us directly as individuals. All I am saying,is if what I believe he is telling me goes against scripture then it is my own mind speaking not him.
Like the one on this site that says God told him he will be one of the Two Witnesses. Total nonsense. Or that God told him directly, the scriptures are the soil.
So… God also speaks through discernment so you know when someone is full of bill, and it’s not God speaking. We know his voice and won’t listen to fools.

I don't see toilet in the scriptures, and never once do we hear of Jesus using one, so evidently it must be of the devil, by your understanding

What scripture did Peter use to know it was ok to step off the boat?

By the word of God,, scripture we can see that it is clear the word of God is compared to seed. NOT DIRT (soil) as the op suggested. Friends this is a prime example of not knowing the word of God and beleiveing every thought in our head is from God. I pray that the OP sees the light in the word of God and turns from the darkness.

Just see how terrible it is to suggest the living word of God is dirt, Nothing living about dirt.

Luke 8:11

1 Peter 1:23

Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;

with the love of Jesus !
