How Is Jesus Presenting Us As Saved in According to Our Faith?

There are no workers of iniquity in Christ.
It is written..."For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Cor 7:10)
Real believers won't be committing "future sins'.
Only those whose sorrow "worketh death", commit more sins.

So you saying you do not commit any sins any more? If you answer yes then you just did.

None of us have arrived yet and none of us are completed in Christ.

My repentance from sin was real.
I don't commit sin.
I walk in the light, (which is God), and will not leave the light.
It is those who walk in darkness who cannot say they have no sin.
Thanks be to God, I have been reborn of Godly seed that cannot bring forth evil fruit.

If sinning you have to name the sin you repenting of..many christians think oh its just the sin of unbelief I need to repent of.. Well no theres many sins apart from unbelief that those who are following Christ need to let go of.

For example, idolatry. Well sure you could say idolatry is technically unbelief in the living God but its also disobedience to him cos you might be worship other idols/gods/entertaining other beliefs in ADDITION to believing in the Lord.

Or..how about sexual immorality, fornication. You can believe in Jesus but Jesus says sin no more. If you still practicing this or adultery, you need to repent of that!

Or pride? Thats a huge one! Let go of it. You are not bigger than God, and can never be. He knows way more than you ever will!

Or maybe its...anger, or rudeness, or impatience. How many people think being angry, rude or impatient glorifies the Lord? Those are bad fruits, sins. Let go of them! Ask Jesus to help you. Cultivate fruits of gentleness, kindness, long sufferring/patience.

Hmm i kind if agree with at peace there is really no such thing as an unrepentant saint.

If there is, they arent a saint they are still a sinner. A saint is always repentant...so repentant they will not ever want to turn back to sin or go into darkness ever again.

Maybe you working on something in your life that Gods telling you repent but you just dont want to repent. Well you cant keep your sin in your heart you got to cut it out. Let God circumcise your heart, He will give you a NEW heart. Why patch up an old wineskin, when you can have a completely new wineskin.

Brother you are not quite totally accurate here in your writing.
I am not questioning if your repentance was real or not.

However if you truly believe you never have a need to Repent again or that you don't ever sin again because you are born again and walk in the Light, then you are Deceived and strayed from the truth.

I am not going to get into a debate about this but it is a combination of pride and lack of understanding that has you writing such post.

Non of us are perfect and arived into the fullness of Christ, and can say we do not sin.

We can say we don't willfully go out and sin but none can say they never sin.

Actually then you would not be 100 percent correct.
How about forgiveness?
It's a sin to walk in unforgiveness but yet many saints do because they feel they are owed.

They are still saved but do not walk in the fulness of Christ.

Refusing to walk in Love is also big.
Keeping the extra money the cashier gave you when you know it was wrong.

Store Ad says one per customer but you go back 5 times for the special. That's sin.

There are so many things that get ignored because it's not really that bad. However the Father views All Sin as Sin.

Nope far to many Christians walk in lack because of sin or unrepentance and unforgiveness.

When I "repented" of sin, I "turned from" all evil wickedness.
To require me to list each individual sin would risk having forgotten one sin done so long ago, that if I did recall it later, would feel guilty all over again.
It is written..."For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Cor 7:10)
If you are sorry for sins past, you won't commit them again.
I thank God for my rebirth from Godly seed that cannot bring forth evil fruit.

Brother you are not quite totally accurate here in your writing.
I am not questioning if your repentance was real or not.
Only a false repentance FROM SIN would accommodate more sin.
You can't forge a relationship with God that is based on a lie.

Your assertion means that a true turn from sin, a true rebirth, and a continuing walk in the light are deception.
Do you also assert that false repentances, false rebirth and walking in the darkness (sin) are NOT deception?

I am not going to get into a debate about this but it is a combination of pride and lack of understanding that has you writing such post.

All sin is willful.
Just as every submission to God is willful.
It is written..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)

Only a false repentance FROM SIN would accommodate more sin.

This seems to be taking things in a opposite direction from what I am saying.

It seems you are not following here.
One repents and becomes born again.
They are a new creation in Christ.

They will continue to develop every single day if they are smart.
This does not Stop sin.
This does not mean they never sin again or never need to repent again.
All will need to .

It is written..."For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Cor 7:10)
Your assertion means that a true turn from sin, a true rebirth, and a continuing walk in the light are deception.

Have no clue how you come to these conclusions.
Yes a Godly Sorrow can leed to repentance but that has nothing to do with you claiming you don't sin or need to repent anymore.

All sin is willful.
Just as every submission to God is willful.
It is written..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)

Willful sin I am referring to just as scripture is referring to in
Hebrews 10:26. Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.

This means you know it's wrong but do it anyway.
Many things Christians will stop doing because they know it's wrong.
Then some things they feel are petty and will do thinking it's really not that bad.
However to the Father sin is sin.

You keep saying if one is truly Born Again they don't sin and if they do its not true repentance.

Forgive me brother but that is purely ignorant.

There is NO Spirit Filled Believer walking this earth that does not miss it and sin in some way.

Hi @Lanolin
Those were just a few examples of how a saint can be in sin and still be saved.

There are so many things the Father Will deal with us as we grow that we never even considered as sin.

That kind of repentance is no repentance.
It is a "slow down", not a "turn from".

Have no clue how you come to these conclusions.

"My" kind of repentance is permanent, and the one you adhere to manifests the sorrow of the world.

Willful sin I am referring to just as scripture is referring to in

James says..."But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (James 1:14-15)
If sin requires temptation, lust, enticement, and conception, accidental sin will never take place.
All sin is deliberate.

This means you know it's wrong but do it anyway.
Many things Christians will stop doing because they know it's wrong.
Then some things they feel are petty and will do thinking it's really not that bad.
However to the Father sin is sin.
Without enticement, temptation, lust, and conception there is no sin.
Even a "petty" designation won't abrogate temptation or lust.

You keep saying if one is truly Born Again they don't sin and if they do its not true repentance.
Indeed I do. Neither does it manifest rebirth.
The old man has been crucified with the affections and lusts. (Gal 5:24)
The new creature is one born of God' seed, and it cannot bring forth evil fruit. (1 John 3:9)

Forgive me brother but that is purely ignorant.
There is NO Spirit Filled Believer walking this earth that does not miss it and sin in some way.
Were that true, the only ones that benefited from the NT are the sacrificial animals.
But I know and manifest Christ's victory over sin in the new life He has granted me.

It is written..."Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2 Tim 2:19)
I am not the only "Spirit filled believer" serving only God on earth now.
Sinners are servants of sin. (John 8:32-34)

I think "At Peace" is one of the least peaceful people I have seen on here.

Gal 5:19; Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20; idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21; envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Some might see those things as sin.... coming from someone who "doesn't sin".

@At Peace

Greetings,

Could another way of saying (some) of what you are saying that is upsetting some here be to say that it is not you that sins, but your flesh or, the flesh?

Bless you ....><>

Greetings Brother @At Peace ,
I will end this with the following reply Which Is Written In Love and is in no way a dig or attack but meant to open your eyes up a little more.

It seems that your understanding of some things are a little off and therefore you refuse to accept that maybe you don't understand things as well as you think you do.

Caution that's a form of pride.

Anything Scripture Speaks about the New Birth does Not simply Just Happen and one has arrived to the place it is speaking of.

It must be Developed over time. It's an on going thing. Once you have gotten to the place where you now have victory in some areas, God will bring to Light New Areas and this goes on and on and on.

The views that you have written about what is sin and who does such sin are to say the least lacking truth.

Ever notice that Scripture tells us to test the spirits of men and not their doctrine?

Let's Examine one who always views themselves as being correct and correcting all that do not agree with them and placing one above what scripture truly says .

What Spirit would this be?

I pray that the Father would Increase the Light you have and deepen the understanding that you have so that you can grow to be as mature in Christ as you believe you have already become.

I pray this because Paul spoke in Scripture that we Only know in part. So if we only know part then it is clear there are parts we don't know.
It's the parts that we don't know are as wholes in our doctrin.

Jesus came to bring a sword.
Didn't He call the posers "hypocrites", and "liars", and "children of the devil"?

I realize that the message I bring..."complete submission to God", will not be received by all.
But if even one person sees a man fighting FOR "the doctrine which is according to Godliness"...perhaps God will nurture that seed to induce growth "a hundred fold".
I pray every day for the members of this site, hoping all are in good health and safe from the devil's pawns.

Hi, BB
I think not, as my "flesh" was crucified with the affections and lusts. (Gal 5:24)
I try to supply the scriptures, in my posts, that give me God's help in what I write.
Folks don't get upset with me, but with the words of God that I use.

As you pray for my advancement in knowledge and Light, do you feel that I will start to commit more sin...or less sin?
My prayers include you, too.

I think not, as my "flesh" was crucified with the affections and lusts.

Yes this is truth However if one thinks that this means they no longer mis the mark now and again then they are very much dwelling in deception.

Galatians 5:16 tells us that we need to learn how to walk in the Spirit.

It must be Developed.
Again none of the Promises of God just happen in one's life because they got born again.

What had been given by or through Grace Must be Accessed By Faith.
You will need to fight to obtain them because our enemy the devil will work hard keeping you from them.

I guarantee you that your flesh has not been so crucified that you never miss it .

Your two "ways" are the same way.
There is no separation between "doing the best we can" and "leaning on Him".
The converted are IN Him.

As you don't supply the question to which you answer, I don't know what you are talking about here.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
How do you read that verse? Half empty or as half full? Do you really see it as on you and thus read it as..
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Or...
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I read, and live, one complete verse without doling out credit or responsibility.
I can't figure out why you would divide them?

Because doing the best we can is to your glory; doing good as He enables me by my faith in Him alone is to His glory.

I had tried to keep my commitment to Christ in making me Lord of my life. All that commitment did was prove me failure. One time a pamphlet from Bill Rudge Ministries led me to make a covenant with my mouth because I had picked up a bad habit of cussing out loud when I was alone out at the warehouse I was managing. The very next day, I was worse than I ever was before, Negative thoughts assailed me, accusing me that I was not His. If I was His, He would have helped me to keep my covenant with my mouth. I had stopped listening to the devil, but I was at my wits' end and so I prayed, Lord? Why aren't you helping me? You know I do not want to do this." He answered... small still voice; not audible, but I heard Him, "You made the covenant. You'd said you were going to do it. I made the Covenant with you and I said I am going to do it. All I ask from you is to believe in Me."

I was humbled that day. later on when Promise Keepers movement was sweeping the valley, I tried to warn my former church, and even went to 2 different bible study groups to warn them about it. One group says it is about promises to men for they know better not to make promises to God. men holding each other accountable in keeping their promises. The other group said the opposite that men cannot always be around to help us keep our promises. That is why it is a promise to God. I did not have to go to that PK convention in Pittsburgh to know that it is about both. as I trued to warn them, a Catholic.Mason member of this fellowship of business men Bible study group, pointed out "well isn;t a commitment to follow Christ like a promise? Sure it is." That was then I realized my double minded state as I declared then I no longer will speak of my commitment nor any promises to God but my faith in Him to rest in His promises to me to follow Him.

So I apply Numbers 30:2 KJV & Ecclesiastes 5L4-6 KJV to Matthew 5:33-37 KJV with Matthew 5:36 KJV as His point for why we cannot follow Him by keeping a commitment nor a promise to do so when we are the work of His hands in how we are following Him by faith. ( Galatians 5:1,5KJV & Philippians 1:6,11 KJV )

Don't know why you would think there is no power in your decision.
If Christ is IN you, meaning you also have the Comforter, YOU have all the power on earth to make decisions.

Because one time after being delivered from all bondages in 1994, He warned me of something coming as I was to decide that day to serve the Lord Jesus Christ or something else in His name. The sense of urgency was there when I read that closing thought for the day from our Daily Bread and so I said "You of course," out loud, but the sense of urgency remained and so I said, "Please help me to do this." A week later visiting my aunt's church in Missouri where the "holy laughter" movement had just happened there, I did not connect the warning to that at all. I was pushed from behind by an unseen hand and I thought maybe God wanted me to go forward for healing of my deaf ear & tinnitus in my right ear, but no. They pushed me back as two guys caught me and laid me on the ground, but I got up mad and walked out. Then He led me to a newsletter from David Wilkerson on the "Role of the Holy Spirit" and that was the beginning of mu edification and reproof from the Lord why that spirit was not of Him because the indwelling Holy Spirit would never take the spotlight off of Jesus to Himself in worship as He seeks to testify of the Son ( John 15:26 KJV ) to glorify the Son ( John 16:14 KJV ) and thereby glorify God the father and how else can He do that except thru us ( John 15:27 KJV & 1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV & John 5:22-23 KJV & John 13:31-32 KJV & Philippians 2:5-15 KJV ) )?

So I was confronted by a supernatural event and regardless of how much my spirit was willing, when I was not being rotted in the word enough to know better in discerning the spirits, He kept me from falling after them ( I was not supernaturally made to fall ) and from serving that movement in seeking the glory thereof as any one would be and are tempted t glory in it by having that special encounter that they assumed was the Holy Spirit, but it was not; ( 2 Corinthians 11;1-4 KJV & 2 Corinthians 13:3 KJV & 1 John 4:1,4 KJV )

So He is my Good Shepherd and there is no power n my decision when I needed Him to keep me from falling in serving something else in His name. ( 1 Timothy 4:1-2 KJV ) That is why it is written that the just shall live by faith ... in Him and all His promises to us as I can rest in Him to finish the race as the crowns I receive is not something I had earned, but by my faith in Him to achieve those crowns on me as they will bring glory to Him in Heaven alone.

My sufficiency is of God...too.
And it is a sufficiency that allows me to make the decisions that will enable my salvation on the last day.

Your salvation has been achieved or else you are denying the foundation which was laid by Jesus Christ, but yes, He is your Enabler as He will finish the race even when it appears to me He is carrying me Home because my hope is on Him. 1 John 3:3 KJV & John 28;29 KJV & 2 Timothy 4:18 KJV Jude 1:24-25 KJV

Do check out those verses for they testify of Him and my hope in Him for all things, brother.
