Jesus Christ - 'the man"

Jesus was not a Spirit filled man. He was God the Son. He was not a saved man. He was God the Son.
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him,

So then the Holy Spirit missed and fell to the way side.

What you are refusing to see is Jesus did not walk this earth as God. Jesus could not be our example as God.

I also said Jesus on the cross after the Spirit of God was removed then became like any unsaved man meaning a man with only the Spirit of man and a soul in a body.

He had to be emptied of ALL GOD SPIRIT point blank.

Sin can not enter God.
Jesus was made sin or took on Himself All Sin.

This was a brilliant strategic move on God the Father's Part. Only a man can enter hell in our place. That is How Jesus was able to fool all of hell. It was just a sin ridden deformed cast out of God man BUT Then at the Right moment in time, God the Father placed His Spirit back in Jesus and Jesus rose up glorious and full of power and defeated all of hell.

Once Jesus was raised from death He became the First Born again man.

Its all in His Word!!

By the way I never said Jesus was not the Son of God/ son of man.

This play on words you are trying to make that God died on the cross too is not biblical.

Blessings

You have Jesus being nothing more than a man with the Spirit of God. Just like a believer today, only without sin. That is not so.

God had to make Marry with child because the man determined the blood of the child.

Jesus could not be born with no sin under the curse any other way.

We see at age 30 Jesus received The Holy Spirit.
We are told over and over how Jesus Prayed to God.
Sometimes all night long seeking God.

Jesus also said my God and your God!!

Jesus was always a part of the God head but for 33 years on this earth He walked as a child, man, God Spirit filled man then man without the Spirit of God and then took His place at the right hand of the Father.

Hello @Wired 4 Fishen

I've not heard the idea that God withdrew his spirit from Jesus at the point of death is new to me. I can't think of any place in the Bible where this is suggested. Where did you get this teaching from?

The first chapter of Colossians is always helpful in discussions like this, so I'm quoting it below.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are of the same Spirit, and make up one God. God the Father spoke at Jesus Baptism. God the Holy Spirit came down upon Jesus at Jesus Baptism. God the Son, Jesus Christ, received the baptism much like any in Old Testament times. The Holy Spirit came upon them. Before the Baptism Jesus Christ was God the Son who became Man who we know as Jesus Christ. Jesus walked this earth as the God/Man. 100% God and 100% Man.

Jesus Christ never ceased to be God the Son. He was God the Son at the incarnation. He didn't cease to be God the Son on the cross. I know what you said. You said Jesus became like any unsaved man. That is not true. He was and is always God the Son Who we know as Jesus Christ. On the cross, God the Son died.

That Jesus refers to the Father as God doesn't mean Jesus is not God the Son.

(John 1:1) "...and the Word was God." (John 1:14) "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...." God the Son, became Jesus Christ at the incarnation. God the Son died on the Cross. God the Son was resurrected with that body He was given. And it is the uniting of God the Son with the resurrected body that God the Father declares "This day have I begotten thee." (Ps. 2:7) (Acts 13:33)

You will find similar forms of this teaching among Gnostic circles.

Greetings Hekuran,
Scripture teaches us about the second death and being separated from God.

Second death is being cast into hell.

Its the Spirit of man which everyone has and his soul (mind, will and emotions)

Matthew 27:50 and John 19:30 Both speak about Jesus giving up the Spirit or ghost.

The only Spirit that can be removed is the Spirit of God.

We know Jesus spoke Father why have you forsaken me?

The only way this to be true is that The Spirit of God was removed. How else can God forsake anyone?

Blessings

Ok. I would need a direct statement rather than inference from phrases like these to be convinced.

The phrase "give up the ghost" or "yield his spirit" is a way of speaking about death. For example, "Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people."

The verses from the gospel here are simply saying that Jesus died.

And the quotation from Psalm 22 does not force us to conclude that Jesus was no longer God.

Understanding how Jesus was both fully God and fully man is extremely complex. I'm not sure that anybody has really got to grips with it and all it's implications. But I think this particular solution has weak grounding in the text of the Bible and creates many more problems than it solves.

Truth be told I have not said at any time Jesus was not the Son of God .

What I have said is when Jesus walked this earth He did so as A Spirit Filled Man.

God can not be tempted but Jesus was. It had to be real temptation other wise it could not be written Jesus was tempted.

It is written God is Light and there is no darkness in Him.

There can be found no iniquity in Him.

Jesus became sin.
Jesus took our place in Hell as a sin ridden man such has not or will ever be.

There is no way Jesus in God form could have pulled this off. satan would not have fallen for it if Jesus entered hell as God.

It was as a Trojan horse. satan thought they destroyed Jesus the son of God as the Father removed His Spirit from Jesus.

At the set time God the Father placed His Spirit back into God the Son!

This is when Jesus Rose up and defeated hell and death and stripped satan and took back the keys he stole from Adam.

Scripture tells us Jesus paraded them through the streets of hell.

The only reason I even first replied to this thread was because of the child play on words saying God died on the cross.

The Spirit of God or God Himself can not die!

Blessings

Second death is being cast into hell.

A technicality, but technically the first death is being thrown in hell, the second death is being thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 20:14; Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
Rev 21:8; "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

The Second death is being separated from God.

On Jesus fooling hell: I can't think of a place where it suggests that Jesus entered the place of captivity tr Joan horse style. Could it be that Jesus stormed the walls and kicked the very Gates of he'll off their hinges before freeing the captives?

We don't have the answer. But I want to point out that your interpretation is not the only possible one.

I'm finding it very difficult to make sense of the idea that the person who died on the cross was different in some way to the person who proclaimed the kingdom of God.

And lastly, God submitting himself to death is mind boggling. But is it any more difficult than believing God was born a child in Bethlehem?

Mixing teachings from the Gnostic gospel people with Scripture can be misleading. And dangerous. Gnostic means false.

I agree. But that is where you will find this teaching being set forth by Wired 4 Fishen. If you read post [HASH=1747]#(29[/HASH]) you will see that he states that Jesus Christ was not God. He was a spirit filled man. Which is why he doesn't answer my post [HASH=1687]#(30[/HASH]) asking is Jesus God the Son, or post [HASH=1751]#(24[/HASH]), where I showed that Jesus was God as He was the Word made flesh. (John 1:1) (John 1:14)

It is a false and dangerous doctrine.

Was Jesus God the Son? I mean...truth be told.

Jesus, the Son of God, laid aside His crown to be born among men, subject to all men face in life.
Philippians 2:5-11 (KJV)
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

You took that post #29 entirely out of context, defaming the author and God. It's hard to believe anyone could derive your conclusion, even an unbeliever! I realize unbelievers like to pick on us, but their approach is usually obvious.

Jesus laid His heavenly advantages aside, submitting to be birthed as a man of earth like you and me. God tasted of mankind through Jesus, His only begotten Son. The rest of us Christians are adopted sons.

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” 1 Timothy 2:5-7.
