Using this logic, we should tell the military to get rid of all their weapons. Then we should tell them, only get some weapons if a war ever breaks out.
We should tell the police, get rid of all your weapons. Only use them when a crime happens.
In most cases, the reason conflict does NOT happen, is because the other side is armed. If we outlaw guns, then only outlaws will have guns.
I do not agree at all that assessment. Somebody who loses it and pick up a knife and stab someone. It is not the gun that kills the victim, it is the person picking up the gun, the knife, the baseball bat, or using their own hands.
Using your logic, one should remove all steak knives, hatchets, baseball bats, ropes, and anything else that one could use to harm another person in the household.

My question is, in a similar situation, does a gun do more damage or an axe?Brazil day care ax attack leaves 3 children dead, 4 others injured; suspect in custody — Fox News

In addition, if you are using the firearm as a method of self-defense, and you believe in the sanctity of life, and that you were created by God in His image, you would see nothing wrong with picking up a fire arm, in order to protect yourself, or your family from harm, and preserve their lives.
If you're fine with people who are out to kill having the same right, then I agree to disagree.I disagree. I use bow and arrow and different firearms to hunt a lot of what I eat. I hunt, fish, farm and forage for the bulk of what I eat. To me it is a way of life, and a God given right. Not to mention a constitutional right here in the U.S.
They already have laws for that, it’s called background checks. But even still it will not stop the violence because the enemy is within the violent, as it is the spirit of their father the Devil. If you're fine with people who are out to kill having the same right, then I agree to disagree.
Owning a gun as a right is a double edged sword. If you don't want to minimize damage by banning guns, then you have to just accept gun violence as an unavoidable risk of allowing everyone to own guns. Apparently, you don't want to accept this risk or else you won't be posting/discussing on this thread. So what are we even discussing? You can't have it both ways, unfortunately.
At a bare minimum, US should start regulating the use of guns, so not everyone can purchase it unless its within a regulated use like maybe hunting. If anyone uses it beyond that regulated use, then a gun ban should apply for that individual. Or do you want children in schools to be armed too so they can protect themselves from gun violence??
That's absolute nonsense. Plenty of nations have effectively tackled violent gun culture. The reason the problem remains to the extent that it does in the USA is entirely political. Bluntly, the vested interests in the gun lobby speak more loudly than the lives of children. They already have laws for that, it’s called background checks. That is why no amount of laws, or weapons of war will ever stop the violence or bring peace. Only God can by removing the spirit of the Devil from mens hearts and minds, and by destroying all sinners from off the face of the earth.
This He will do, in due time. The saints must be patient in order to posses their souls, and let the Lord have His vengeance, for vengeance belongs to the Lord.

You can take all the guns away you want, but you will stop the violent from performing acts of violence, they will just use other methods to kill. That's absolute nonsense. No one would have died if the assailant had no gun.Really? I wonder how many more children would have died in this case, if the police wouldn't have had guns?
Not true. As has been demonstrated many times in many countries. You can take all the guns away you want, but you will stop the violent from performing acts of violence, they will just use other methods to kill.

The world stats do not include God’s definition of murder, therefore they cannot see that murder rates have increased in every country. Not true. As has been demonstrated many times in many countries.
About 30 years ago there was a horrific shooting in a school in Scotland. Many children died. The government took action and banned hand guns. No mass shooting in a British school since.
Wanting to prevent children being murdered is not a Liberal position. It's basic human morality. For a conservative forum TalkJesus sure has a lot of Liberal leaning members. Hmmm
