Let's share a testimony of praise and thanks daily

Had a bit of spiritual warfare last night/today, but God brought me through that!!! It is awesome when the break through comes!

'But I fear, lest by any means,
as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty,
so your minds should be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.'

(2 Cor. 11:3)

With that in mind, I found this old poem today, written by someone called (Principal I. C. Sharpe)

"I have a life in Christ to live,
.. But ere I live it must I wait
.... Till learning can clear answer give
...... Of this or that book's date?
I have a life in Christ to live,
.. I have a death in Christ to die:
.... And must I wait till science gives
...... All doubts a full reply?
Nay rather, while the sea of doubt
.. Is raging wildly round about,
.... Questing of life, of Death, of Sin;
...... Let me but creep within
Thy fold, O Christ, and at Thy feet
.. Take up the lowest seat
.... And hear Thy awful voice repeat
...... In gentlest accents, heavenly sweet,
Come unto Me and rest,
Believe Me, and be blest."

What will I do when the lights go out?
Where will I be when darkness comes?
What will I say when storms draw near?
Hallelujah, praise You, Lord

When I stumble, when I fall,
Will I give up or will I stand?
Will I hide my face,
be hidden in Him?
Will I entrust my life in His hands?

You are there when the lights go out,
You are there when darkness comes
You are there when storms draw near,
Hallelujah, praise You, Lord

Where You are, darkness will flee,
In Jesus Name, there is victory!
Holy Spirit lives in me
There is greatness inside of me!

So Amen, let it be
Your will be done for all to see
The rains may come, but You are here
In Your presence, I'll draw near.

My left eye is strained, tearing up, blurring, hard to read with one eye LOL. PRAISE God for my good right eye!!

Well praise Jehovah Rapha! Prayers your eye will heal up soon.

Been a good day today. I work at a preschool and it is a real blessing to help all the teachers and work with the kids, including my daughter. My son even starts coming in July!

Dear God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank you for your provision today, of comfort for my sister: and joy for those whom You chose to provide it. Thank you for laughter, and sharing, and love in abundance.

In Christ Jesus
Our risen and glorified
Saviour

'So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea,
and they went out into the wilderness of Shur;
and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
And when they came to Marah,
they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter:
therefore the name of it was called Marah.
And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree,
which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet:
there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God,
and wilt do that which is right in his sight,
and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes,
I will put none of these diseases upon thee,
which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water,
and threescore and ten palm trees:
and they encamped there by the waters.'
(Exodus 15:22)

Hi @Mayflower,

Thank you for referring to the words 'Jehovah Rapha', I looked it up and was directed to this passage of Scripture, for this appears to be it's first usage. 'I am the LORD that healeth thee'

I am glad that you have being blessed by your work at the preschool. It is lovely that you can share this part of your children's life with them. Praise God!

'Be still and know that I am God'
'I am the Lord that healeth thee'
'In Thee O Lord do I put my trust'

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you that you know Brad, and you know his eye condition. I pray that His sight will be preserved , and that he will be able to read Your Word without strain. Help him to be wise in his use of the computer, so that it will not aggravate his condition, and that he will rest his eyes as advised.

I pray that Your will, will be done for Brad, and if it be Your will, that you will heal Him of this condition.
Above all, may he be strengthened with might in his inner man, and may He continue to grow in grace and truth and in the knowledge of you, and may your perfect will be done both in and through Him. For your name and glory's sake.

Thank you Lord.
In the name of Christ Jesus our risen Lord,
Who is sat at Your right hand,
and intercedes on our behalf.

Amen.

Dear Lord, my holy father and foundation. Thank you for setting me straight when it was me arguing with myself all the time, you have released the burden from my mind. Your way is not our way, your thoughts are not our thoughts.

Thankful to work at a Christian preschool where I can share with the kids openly about Christ. The other blessing is being able to bring my own kids and getting a huge discount for them coming also. I'll be able to work more hours when my son turns one next month, because then he will be coming also. I'll actually then be in the daycare part with the younger kids. Right now I help all the groups/teachers. God put this amazing boss in my life who has made it to where I can work on the days my husband has off. He works thirds, so on days he sleeps to work twelve hour shifts, I have the kids. It is a strange schedule also where he alternates days/different each week, so I've been very blessed. A bit lonely at times, but in those times God has shown me I am never alone with Him.

Look..I am a long way from perfect!
I generally screw up most of the time.

I thank God for "Amazing Grace " ... in it there is a verse, that is something like, " How precious was the day I first Believed " ! I go back to that moment often...when I am feeling low or in doubt.

I know that His Grace and Salvation is real, eternal and forever and I thank Him for that promise!!!
