Let's share a testimony of praise and thanks daily

Blessed be Your Name!
Thank-you Father God for allowing the opportunity to help another!

Out shopping before a snow storm hits the area ;) at least as far as the folks around here are used to having around here. So, it's busy and the usual stuff being taken. Bread, milk, flour, eggs, etc. Waiting in line with a couple of folks in front of me and twice that behind me.

Well, the lady in front of me I could tell was having a hard time unloading her stuff from the cart. I could see the back brace she was wearing, while she complained of not having been able to get one of the handicap motorized carts for her to use, being so busy and all. She had to voice her complaint. :( with the cashier looked on with disapproval, and a look that said. "I can't get out of here fast enough!". Regardless, I had to offer to help. I asked permission to help and a look of surprise rose to her face and so I took that as permission to do so.

Paying for her stuff, was also a trial. She had a card to pay, and some money to make up the difference, but after more than a few tries with the card it finally worked, but it left here shorter then she expected. Had to use what appeared to be the last of her money to pay. Still, it wasn't enough to pay for it all. So she set aside a few bottles of a drink, a cake mix, & icing.

Looking back at the line of folks behind me I could tell the folks were a bit exasperated at how long all this was taking, if not at the lady herself. :( Still, I could only think that but for the grace of God there goes each one of us.

She started to put the bags she had paid for into her cart. Leaving those items she couldn't pay. It was at this time, that I looked at the cashier who still wasn't smiling, to ring up those items and put them in a bag for the lady. I'd take care of paying for them. The lady thanked me, being even more surprised then when I helped her unload her cart! I said I just couldn't see someone being denied the joys of having a cake with a snow storm coming up! :-)

All of sudden I hear this young girl behind me say "Bless you", and others respond the same. Now it was my turn to be surprised. As these days continue to get dark & our Lord's return nears. I find that even doing small kindness' don't necessarily go acknowledged. Not that I was looking for any. I say "To the Glory of God"!

But, by the time I left, I had my blessing returned. I even had the cashier smiling. Told her that her smile was blessing enough for me and that I hope the rest of her shift would go quickly.

Not much, but still something I can rejoice in. Because I know my faith is not much, but I'm forever grateful to the Father that He allows me the small things to do.

Thank-you once again Father.
Your Grace is Amazing!

Thank-you all for allowing me to share.
God's blessings.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Even just an encouraging word goes a long way. We don't know what other people are going through in this life, what hardships they are facing, what difficult circumstances they may be enduring, and what loneliness they may be feeling. So, even a gentle word, a smile, or something that says to them, "You matter" goes a very long way in healing broken hearts and wounded souls. So, yay for you that you reached out to that woman, all to the glory of God! Amen!

As some of you may be aware, the Lord has been having me share more openly some of my own brokenness, hardships and pain on here. I kept those things to myself for so many, many years. But, recently the Lord has been leading me to share my story, but not just on here, but on my blog, and now with an online support group for women who have been abused by their husbands via adultery, lies, betrayal, extra-marital affairs, etc. The Lord Jesus just opened that door for me. I didn't go looking for it. Support groups for me, in the past, were no support at all, for I just got mistreated there, too, for real, so I have been hesitant to join any women's groups since then.

But, the Lord just laid this support group in my lap. It is fairly new, and so most of the women on there are new to it, as well. Many, many hurting, injured, emotionally scarred women whose husbands are sexually addicted are sharing their stories of suffering, confusion, and agony, crying out for help, healing, answers, solutions, comfort and encouragement. I am one of those women, but I have been on this journey a lot longer than many of them, and so I am able to share with them my own experiences and what God has taught me through them, and the Lord is now using me there to encourage these women in their walks of faith with the Lord, and they, in turn, are blessing and encouraging my heart.

So, I praise and thank the Lord today for opening this door of ministry for me to these women, but also for giving me this group of women to love, encourage and cheer me on in my journey of faith in the Lord. It has been such a blessing in my life. I know that I cannot hang my hat on that, and that the Lord must always be the one I go to and depend on for my support, but when the body of Christ functions like it is supposed to, and we do truly reach out to one another, and hug on each other in the name of Jesus, and cheer one another on, that is awesome! I have gone without such encouragement many years, so I know what it is like to be in a desert, in that sense, but when the Lord does bless us with such encouragement, from our brothers and sisters in Christ, it just blesses my heart beyond measure.

You all do that for me. You bless me and encourage me, so thank you for being here. My dependency is in the Lord, not in you, for I know you can go away, but while you are here, I am glad for you, and I thank and praise the Lord for you. Just know that you matter to me a whole lot!! Sue

Trials & Tribulations, many see as just untold suffering without purpose. With God, there is nothing without purpose.
Eventually, staying faithful, one will see these seeds bare fruit, by which the most peaceful of healing can take place in the experiences shared and the love they are received with.

Bless you Sister Sue in the time you take, and the openness by which you share your own pain, in order that others may also find the rest in our merciful and loving God.

With the Love of Christ Jesus Sister, and thank-you for sharing.

Thank you, Brother Nick, for these kind and thoughtful words. I appreciate them much. I absolutely agree that the suffering I have gone through in my life has not been without purpose. God has done so many marvelous things in my life, I have grown so close to the Lord, and he is using me in ways I never thought possible. God is good. All the time. Sue

Praise the Lord its now the weekend and also that we have rain, for the gardens.
Some peoples holidays are being rained out, well they can all come home now and back to work next week.

Also thank the Lord that we can be honest about our weakness and suffering of trials and tribulations with each other so we can pray for one another and be healed. Jesus understands our every weakness so take it to the Lord in prayer.

Thank you Lord for times of rest and times of work. To everything there is a season.

I learned from gardening that if we go against the season things wont grow. People think they can get ahead but we can never get ahead of God because He's the one who gives life and makes things grow. We could put in an elaborate irrigation system but it could all be rained out in the rainstorm and if we relied on the artificial irrigation all the time when it breaks down the plants will receive water from above anyway...lol

Thank You dear Lord for water
For fresh, clean running water
What a beautiful commodity

I have just got up, had a coffee made with fresh water
And soon will shower in hot clean water

How would we live without adequate water and food?

Millions do.....just look at this sad picture.
Thank You Lord for water and provision

Thank You Lord You are the water of life.
Give us compassion for the many who thirst spiritually and physically.

The Lord Jesus had given me a tune to write the day before this, so in the morning I prayed and asked the Lord if he had words for the tune. I acknowledged before God that I could not do this. This tune would have words only if he gave them to me. Then, I heard in my mind the song “How Great Thou Art,” singing, “Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art…”

I knew then that this song was to be about the greatness of God. Then he led me to these passages of scripture and gave me the words. How great is his love, his faithfulness, his many wondrous deeds and miracles, his purposes for mankind, his compassions, his covenant of love with those who love him, his redemptive power in his saving grace toward humankind, the promise of his soon return, and our hope of eternity with him in heaven.

“For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds” (Ps. 57:10ESV).

“I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations” (Ps. 89:1ESV).

“Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve” (Jer. 32:19NIV).

Great is The Lord!
An Original Work / June 12, 2013

Based off Various Scriptures – Ps. 57:10; 89:1; 145:3; Jer. 32:19;
La. 3:22-24; Da. 9:4; Lu. 21:27; Ep. 1:19; Tit. 2:13; 1 Jn. 3:1 (NIV ’84)

Great is the Lord! He has done wondrous things.
Great is His love reaching up to the heav’ns.
His faithfulness reaches up to the skies.
Of His great love, I will sing evermore.

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise!
Truly His greatness no one comprehends.
Great are His purposes; mighty His deeds.
His eyes are open to the ways of man.

Great is the Lord! His compassions ne’er fail.
Great is His faithfulness. I’ll wait for Him.
He keeps His covenant of His great love
With all who love Him and do what He says.

Great is the Lord! He is coming in pow’r.
His saints will wait for Him; their hope secure.
How great His love He has lavished on us,
That we should be called the children of God.

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me...

Thank you Lord yesterday my boss asked me how 'I got religious' well I opened up and shared what you did In my life I hope that my words wont return back empty testifying of your goodness.

There so much I could say of walking in Christ just pray that my boss will consider you are the truth the way and the life the only way to the Father.

"Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns" (Rev. 19:6NIV).

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mk. 10:45ESV).

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph. 2:8-9ESV).

“He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen” (1 Tim. 6:15b-16ESV).

This is a song of praise of our Lord Jesus Christ! We praise him for coming to earth, for taking on human flesh, for suffering as we suffer so that he could become our faithful and compassionate high priest, and for dying on the cross for our sins so that we could be free (saved from the penalty and control of sin), and free to walk daily in his holiness and righteousness. Amen! And we praise him, as well, that he is coming again one day to receive us as his bride, made holy for her wedding to her husband, Jesus Christ!

Hallelujah
An Original Work / May 3, 2011

Hallelujah, hallelujah!
He is coming, hallelujah!
He’s our Lord God and we love Him
For He saved us from our sin.

He is with us, hallelujah,
And He loves us, hallelujah!
We adore Him; give our worship
To our Lord God, King of kings.

He’s our Savior, hallelujah!
He provided our redemption;
Paid our ransom; we’re forgiven;
In His death He bore our sin.

He is risen, hallelujah!
Conquered death, hell, sin, in vict’ry;
Sent His Spirit; lives within us;
Cleansed and purified within.

He is coming, hallelujah,
To receive us, hallelujah,
As His pure bride for our wedding
To our Lord God, priest and King!

Live in vict’ry, hallelujah,
For He freed you, hallelujah,
To obey Him; turn from your sin;
Walk in fellowship with Him.

I am thankful to God for my church family, for Christian fellowship, for godly encouragement, for the opportunities God has given me to minister his love and grace to the body of Christ, and for my brothers and sisters in Christ who regularly minister to my spirit, too, the love and grace of Christ.

I wrote about this in more detail here: A Love Letter

I thank the Lord for the beauty of creation.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful rugged view that I had this morning.

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Psalm 103:1
