I read your profile, and believe it or not we live on a hill that's all linestone. The rocks are very unique and tell many stories. You have an interesting job.

Once in Christian college we were challenged to see if a person who just had a Bible could read it and come out as a pre, mid or post trib believer. For that matter can one read the Bible and come out with and of Darby's theories?

Have you ever given much thought that if a theory of the return of Jesus does not follow what the Master says in Matthew 24, than it just might not be correct?

What needs to take place for Jesus to come, anything?

The catching up of the church age believers can happen any time.
The political set up of the world is very nearly ready to fit end time alliances. The remaining changes can happen quickly after the rapture.

Think we've got 42mths of persecution under the oppression of AC first, Rev 13, he has authority to make war against the saints 42mths.
That's the first half of the final 7yrs, or time times and half a time, 31/2 years. After that comes the judgements of God.
Before this, the church is in heaven at this stage, see Chpt7:9. The Jews that are saved go through the tribulation and are translated at the very end, also Chpt 7.

After Syria falls to western democracy, the peace treaty will come quickly, presided over by Antichrist, a 7 yr treaty, see Daniel 9:27.
I'm certain the church is raptured mid-trib, about the halfway point of this last seven years.
If Syria falls to western control mid year, we could see the Mid East Peace Treaty before 2013 and the beginning of the time of tribulation.
The elevation of Antichrist is seen in Daniel 11:43, he conquers Egypt and Libya, then the final conquest prior to the treaty is Syria.
That's why he's often referred to as the Syrian, but this is an alias or by-name, he conquers Syria as he did the others.
So he subdues all the local Arab nations before the big day! It's happening now with one major politician at the forefront, see if you can join the dots.

on cna and ewtn news on Oct 24 2011 the Vatican Council asked for global Financial Authority!
at the G-20 summit. It is called the Pontifical council for justice and peace!
look it up you will find it very easy. and what part did you need proof of? every body seen the ships off the cost of italy. thats old news.

In the West we all live under the Jewish Rotheschild and Rockerfeller banking systems, in fact our governments are under the control of these so called reserve banks that are privately owned, they're all franchises of the original Rotheschild organisation which developed centuries ago.
Because of this as a Christian, I obviously struggle, not between Jew and Palestinian, but between Jewish people and their Zionist elite leaders all around the globe.

you just dont get it. the Rotheschild and Rockerfellers are a joke if thay dont have gold!! and even if thay had that much gold where would thay put it!

The Rotheschild are somewhere down the line, but in the top 100 though.. Well if that's true, then they've lost at least 98% of their fortune since 1850 and it is most likely true!!!! so in the end the Rotheschild and Rockerfellers are just people thats all! and thay can be controlled by the vatican as well. i wll put my trust in gods word. and the love of christ/ yahshua/yeshua whichevery you like. but not jesus i dont know how thay came up with that. unless thay was using a pagan name!

I'm trying to find out if Nicholas is form the tribe of Dan, this is the tribe that's left off the list redeemed in the revelation.
It was said that Saint Augustine believed the antichrist would come from the tribe of Dan.
Strikes me as a little odd how his tribal heritage is so difficult to find, yet this would be one of the most important things for a Jew to know, what tribe you ascended from, one would think.
I just have a sneaking suspicion which one....hmmmm!
Anyhow he's my prime suspect, I know it's just my opinion and after all who am I, but over many years I've watched this guy and he's not going away, fact is, he's becoming even more likely, he ticks all the boxes.
I once read that the name Nicholas means 'conqueror of peoples' and 'Sar' means something like 'Prince' and the kozi or kozy means black or dark. Just a little co-incedence??

Anyhow Christ is his Conqueror, that's for sure.

This must be one of the most confusing threads i have read.

Lots and lots of speculation.

I must have heard of twenty possible candidates for the antichrist, during my Christian life.

Everyone is always so sure there right!

This is what amazes me above all.

How come the candidates for the AC are usually defined by the era they exist in.
Somewhat akin to theology and philosophy. Check the current philosophy in an era
and behold you will find the birth of the appropriate theology.

If the AC is not revealed until JC returns according to 2Thess, how will we ultimately know?

How about a gentle suggestion of the candidate with some supportive evidence.
Excluding the "I may not be right, but I am never wrong attitude".

Gentle as a dove and cunning as a serpent, i think someone uttered.

Some additional info on "some" of the names:
Pontifix Maximus is a papal title meaning in Latin "chief bridge maker" between earth and heaven.
However, Jesus Christ is the only One who can claim this title because "no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me." John 14:6. This was a title of the Roman Caesars and of the Roman Emperors of paganism.
Holy Father is a title the pope claims for himself. However, this title occurs only once in the Bible,
and used when Jesus addresses His Heavenly Father in John 17:11 in His great prayer before His betrayal,
arrest and crucifixion.
Father is a title that every Roman Catholic priest claims for himself and expects to be called.
Jesus warns in Matthew 23:9 "Call no man your father upon the earth:
for one is your father which is in heaven."
The catholic priest is not regarded in Scripture to be anyone's spiritual father.
Monsignor This means "my Lord", and this clearly is a title belonging only to God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Reverend is a title of many Roman Catholic priests and Protestant ministers.
This is also a title for God in Psalms 111:9 "Holy and Reverend is his name.
"It is blasphemy for any man to take to himself a title of God.
"Mother of God" - Title given to Mary which denotes blasphemy,
as it diverts worship to Mary. Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ's humanity,
but not the mother of Jesus Christ's divinity. i have been studying this for 25+ years and if you are looking

You are right in your claim that all popes are antichrist.

But the Catholic Church does not hold a monopoly on the AC.

What is an antichrist? A key is found in II John 7: "For many deceivers have gone
out into the world, who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.
This is a deceiver and an antichrist."

An antichrist is a deceiver, they do not follow Christ.

That explains that the world has seen 1000's of ACs

There is no doubt the Catholic Church is the harlot that rides the beast,
this is a forced interpretation there is no other available.
That was a given, no mystery at all given we are so late in
history.

THE ANTICHRIST, the last and greatest, subdues the world.

I am not so sure that this AC will be as easy to detect.

His cunning will be astounding, political genius, the
most pursausive orator. But will we be able to spot him.

Are you absolutely sure Kevin that the last AC will be a pope.
