I have not seen anyone say that sin does not take us away from God.
saved or unsaved sin separates us from god until we repent.
You are absolutely correct, but this does not play into the Op, of once saved always saved. As Christ
died once on the cross if one is truly saved, they are
saved once and for all. That cannot be taken away, and to think otherwise would be calling God and indian giver.
John 3:16 (New King James Version)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
True salvation is eternal, forever, infinite, everlasting and nowhere in the bible does it say or even indicate otherwise.
Matt. 24:24
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
John 6:45
It is written in the prophets,
‘And they shall all be taught by God.Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.
John 10:27,28
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them
eternal life, and
they shall never perish;
neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
John 11:25-29
26
And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” 28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29 As soon as she heard
that, she arose quickly and came to Him.
