I didn't come to God until later in life either. I served as a Medic in the U.S. military. My MOS (job) wasn't to take life but to help the sick and wounded. However, I was given a weapon b/c it was my responsibility to speak for and protect my patients if some evil PoS tried to kill them and me. *Self defense IS condoned by God.
I've not killed anyone despite the numerous times I've been shot at and nearly blown up and even while giving medical treatment to our soldiers and foreign locals while deployed.
Pride was the first sin with Lucifer disobeying God. Adam brought sin into the world and Eve is why no woman can decide where to eat. They know all to well what happened the first time.
Satan knows his outcome. He wants to take as many of us with him as he can. For every heart won to God, the forces of Evil target and double down on that person.
I'm not going to speak for God but to say every person who's ever killed even in self-defense is automatically bound for Hell is untrue.
God is the only taker of life and I've no way to imagine how a person feels who's done it regardless of reason.
IMO, Satan would use that as that person's most damaging sin and you two and the rest of us must do more to help him.
Murder is not the unforgivable sin. Satan is another topic entirely and IMO, lengthy discussion on God, the Bible, what this world and lost people think of us is greatly lost through reading text.
Thank you,
Also thank you all.
I am not a sinless man and I fall short, but this is different than what is counted as
sin,
as God forgives transgression, and removes iniquity, the scriptures record also that the
guilty will not be forgiven, and this is different than what we know; even Jesus said to the Pharisees that said 'we see,' He said, 'because you say that you can see, your guilt remains.'
Jesus is the true Messiah that takes away the sins of the world; to give sight to the blind, and to take away sight from those who see--to both, He is as our salvation, and to those who stand against Him and His people, and His children, doing as Satan does--accusses the brothren and sisters of Christ, and He does not forgive them unless they repent and turn to Him.
It is true, for He said to Nicodemus: 'Ye must be born again.'
What this means is to believe the Word and be made clean by the Word. We are made clean by His word, and by faith in Him. We are not sinners, for whosoever is born of God does the will of God, and that one does not sin. Thanks be to God for His Spirit, which will always convict us greatly if we do not obey the commandments; it is one who turns against this Spirit of God that the worst sin is accounted to, for the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth, and the Word is the Truth which is life and gives life.
It is written for us to know: 'and this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.'
I am found with great pains for the multitude of lies told in His name, for His name is the name of my Father.
Chief among those lies is that 'we would become like God, and reach Godhood.'
In the same church that taught me the Spirit of God, which is a true Spirit of love and mercy, ... the same church has also twisted the scriptures and added their own doctrine to the doctrine of the Gospel, and.. it has claimed it to be the true Gospel.
Indeed, this has been for me a great source of pain... lucifer wanted to be like God.. the serpent told Eve she would be like God.. my first Church teaches that we would reach Godhood... but the people are truly good people, and in them is no deciet, except a few. In them is no deciet, however, thiandoes not mean all the words are true--what the words mean to them and to me is a difference of the literal interpretations and it is also a matter of grammatical and scholastic fluency... not many people reach a near-to-perfect grammatical fluency, and for those of us that have great literary conprehension and rely of His Spirit as our primary teacher of the Truth, we do notice with striking discernment the subtilities of error, and the subtilities if deception.
Indeed, for we are not all 'gods.' As Jesus spoke to the Pharisees He said, 'Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most high.'
This verse has been perverted and has corrupted many, for the scriptures reveal the nature of the gods, and that nature is lordship and kingship, rulers over people, which nature does rest in judgement and truth; these are they whom are counted as gods...
This is important because we are seeing horrors manifested in our world over whose God is the true God, and many are killing eachother over this, because their eyes are shut to the spiritual truths given to us of our Father, and our Lord; such things ahould not be happening, and we know that it is happening because of violation of the law in the Spirit of Christ our Lord.
That violation is bowing to the ledger of the law, dishonoring the Spirit of the law; when the law of love and mercy is broken, so also is sin and death brought back to reign, whereas the law of sin and death were defeated so that we could walk in the Spirit of love and of Truth.
I don't see sinners, I see humans, and I always tell who is a snake, and who is a sheep. I can also tell who is oppressed severely of the devil; could I not? For I have been trialed by the powers of the heavens, and I have set forth no deciet from my mouth to decieve or to oppress.
My questions about deception, and sinners, and righteous people are valid, for Jesus is the Son of God who came also to serve the living God, and He did.
