Hello there,

We are told why wars take place between nations, and what motivates them in James 4:1: and in Isaiah 40:15 & 17 we can see that for all their posturing, they are in God's eyes 'less than nothing' and as 'drops in a bucket'. We are to pray for those in authority:-

'I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.'

Compared to the military might of the nations we are all rather small. Here's an observation that might help -- its something I've been reflecting on.

in Revelation 16, the kings of the earth gather at Armageddon at the prompting of demonic powers.

We don't see the outcome of the battle until a couple of chapters later in Revelation 19:19

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

Who defeats the enemy in Revelation? It is not the church militant, nor even the heavenly host - it is the rider of the horse -- he has king of kings and lord of lords written on his robe -- Jesus himself.

So our insignificance in the face of world events is not a huge factor. It is Jesus' power alone we trust in.

I kinda, know what you mean. I remember right after conversion in 1977, in just about 3 days I read the whole Bible, I was shock! By the violence in the Bible how evil “Israel” and how mostly all the people and Kings of Judah and “Israel” was and for wickedness, sacrificing of their own children, how bad The Jews was. Even as “GOD” was stretching HIS Hand out to them All day long”

I had to read the book again! I must be “hallucinating”, Something is wrong! I better read this book over again by the next 4, days,I completed it again. Now it is more clearer than the 1st. Read. God didn’t play.

He was cussing “Israel” out calling them a bunch of unholy names. And sometimes, He said, “I AM, is not going to kill you today! But in a few years, I AM, killing all y’all. Except for the young of this day, in many generations HE Did this! “You bunch of Stiff-necked £€¥#%k!
When I get through with you, “Quail, I going have it coming out your Nose” and then when another generation came, I going make you, drink your “p” and eat your own “Babies”. I got kinda scared

This GOD here, HE is Getting. A “Reputation” with me!

I have never heard about this “GOD” in The Church, neither I heard any Christian talk about This GOD!

And I kept reading and reading to find some “Light”. I couldn’t until I would get to the “Promise Land” The NEW Testament! “Over and over it was like that, then finally I realize, after so much @Systematic reading of The Old Testament, This GOD in Old was “JESUS” the SON also
And Then here come “The Acts of The Apostles” and The People and wild Breast start killing them Too! And when they was stoning “Stephen”, the Bible said he was “Smiling” and his face was shining!… Mind you, I am a new “child of GOD”.

When I met some Christian’s, I question them about this. And the strangest look would appear on their faces, like they had no idea what I was talking about.
Some violent events even “Orchestrated by “GOD” in The Bible against HIS own people and how bad He talk about them.
These Christian’s would stand there dumb founded!

Then one day on a “Trail”, I struck this conversation up with a man about “GOD”, a very “Intelligent speaking man” and concerning The Bible. Highly Read.

I bought us to this certain point of discussion about “GOD” in The BIble he Stop. And he look at me with a “no no Look”. And said: ……“ I don’t Read Negative Stuff”!

I was Shock! I said to him, it is The Bible. His reply “I don’t Read Negative Stuff” when I get to “Negative Stuff, I Skip over it until I get to The POSITIVE.

I could not believe my ears…… My Father shown and taught me something else that day, in one moment that “Stretch out clear though out ETERNITY where there is no end in one moment” like HE have Done since The Day HE ask Me, “What Did I Call You”!

Note: many Christian’s cannot stand some of “The Meat of GOD” Because it is not meant for Them to Eat! And They are “No more The Less”

So I understand The “Negative” and how It cannot be “Digested” by [some] “Children of The Living GOD”
